Charleston Performance Solutions
Unfortunately, the review below isn't quite accurate, as the ZO6 referenced was built for the previous owner and ran flawlessly for the 8 months he owned it. Once traded to the new owner it succumbed to a WOT missed shift days later, which resulted in PTV contact, a broken valve, and then a broken piston. When asked to help the NEW owner, we offered, but were threatened with extortion if we didn't send "x" amount of dollars by a certain day. They then went and tried to rep bomb us to hurt our business. We have picture proof of the messages, damage, files, videos, and texts. It really is a shame when someone does such a thing.

German Auto Repair
I took my ML320 in for suspension repairs and wheel bearings. My vehicle had been at Baker Motor for over a week and no work had been done - they were able to work me into their schedule quickly and their prices were much more reasonable than the dealer. The work was completed in a timely manner. I was impressed with the communication from the ladies who work at the front counter. I will certainly use them again.

Automotive Perfection Co
I have lived in Charleston for nearly 20 years and not long after arriving needs a mechanic to repair the wife's car. After a couple of phone calls a friend recommended a shop and I went to them for help. Not only did Rick repair our car, we met his amazing wife Nina and actually made some new friends. After the fact I realized just how reasonable the repairs were and how honest Rick had been about our options. This was the start of a long term professional and personal relationship that is all too often non existent these days.

Safelite AutoGlass
Safelite came and said they had the wrong glass and they would be right back with the right one. Never called and said they were not coming back nothing. All they did was cancel my order with Geico (probably so I could not complain) and never show back up again. The other company came out and told me its was because my glass needed to be special ordered. If Safelite did not want to do the work they could have at least told me.

Charleston Performance Solutions
So here is my personal and truthful experience with Charleston Performance Solutions in Charleston South Carolina. The ZO6 was built and finished in July of 2016, it had a small build done to it for "BOOST" or the previous owner thought. The ZO6 had 2100 miles since the build was completed, the build included new pistons, rods, BTR stage 2 cam, valve train a tune and a sweet 12 inch ruler...So from the begining i had my doubts with the build and the tune due to the fact that it only made 500whp and didnt want to race or push the car until it was retuned. 2 days after the trade i had a cel light come on with a misfire code.I immediately stopped pulled over and noticed coolant exit from the exhaust. I had it towed home and that night we took the heads off. What we saw was stumping me and my friends, we saw peppered piston heads across the board and scorn cylinder walls. Bank 1 had a broken valve, not a dropped valve but a broken one which i later found in the exhaust. I removed the motor and had it all sent off to my current builder along with the heads.when he took the motor and started dismantling it he noticed:Ring gap was incorrect, pistons were 4.125 but the cylinder were honed to 4.125 instead of 4.130.The pistons were starting to get too hot, there was massive detonation and knock, and to our surprise when he removed the oil pan he found a 12 inch plastic ruler laying in there right next to the dry oil sump. instead of CPS righting their wrong CPS decided to blame me, saying i over rev or missed shifted, and that im not the original owner so it has nothing to do with me. But the fact is that the assembly of the motor was wrong from the beginning and the tune was wrong from the beginning, and that there was a foreign object in the oil pan. Those are the facts. I am no longer asking for them to right their wrong. This is merely a personal experience from a build that was done at their shop and now i have to pay to get fixed.

Tips & Advices
Many companies, both local and nationwide, specialize in automotive glass repair and replacements. Drivers should contact their insurance companies to find glass or auto repair shops in their network.
Windshield damage from anything other than a vehicle collision (including vandalism, storms, fires, and animals) is often covered by optional comprehensive coverage. Drivers should keep in mind that some plans only cover the side and back windows but not the front windshield. Without coverage, drivers must pay the entire cost of repairs or replacements.
Small windshield repairs can be finished in 30 minutes, while windshield replacements take about an hour.
The adhesives used in windshields need at least one hour to cure, so drivers must wait before getting back on the road.  Similarly, drivers should wait at least 24 hours after a windshield repair or replacement before washing their cars. The water and chemicals in the soap can weaken the adhesive. Because of the additional pressure involved, drivers should wait three days after repairs or replacements before going through an automated car wash.
Replacing a windshield costs between $150 and $300 on average.
