Coastal Automotive
Great repair service. Had a mustang which I always brought here. No problems with the work performed with reasonable prices. They stay pretty busy but as long as you call first, you have an estimate as to when the car will be ready. Any issues I encountered were always resolved by the owner and managers. I would recommend coastal.

Mitch's Brake & Muffler
Nissan wanted to charge me $7,000 to get my breaks up to VA safety standards. Mitch did it for $1,400 and threw in a few freebees, like fixing some break lines and installing a battery holder. My truck passed inspection thanks to Mitch.

Go Automotive
Today's date June 9th 2017 and this is the worst custermer service I've ever received. Go automotive opens up at 8:00, I walked in at 8:03. I left around 8:20 because no one greeeted me or said anything. Me and my girlfriend called multiple times and no one answered. Don't waste your time coming here.

Speedy Auto Service
I just had to give my testimonial about Ed and his team at Speedy Auto Service in Norfolk. After taking my daughter's 2009 Toyota Corolla to FOUR different repair shops (and one of them was a Toyota dealer), Ed was the only one who could figure out what was wrong. Diagnostic testing came up with all kinds of different codes but he was the only one who was diligent and just would not give up until he discovered she needed a new fuel pump! He did excellent work, was fair and reasonable, extremely knowledgeable, and fabulous to deal with. This mechanic knows his stuff! I highly recommend him and Speedy Auto Service in Norfolk. Just simply the best! My daughter's car runs awesome now and yes, the "check engine" light is finally off for good. Thank you, Ed! Super detective work!

Speedy Auto Service
Reggie the manager is professional and helpful. When I brought in our 2004 Dodge Durango for the inspection. He was honest to say that 2 tires may need replacing in the near future and the same with the pads. No lies/pressure to get it done immediately.

Big Al's Mufflers & Brakes
Just brought my truck in recently for oil change, coolant flush, and rotate tires plus a courteous brake inspection. Shawn is the manager and his mechanics were very friendly and professional. Service didn't take too long and I'm always treated as a valued customer. I recommend Big Al's.

University Car Care
University has continually done exceptional work on my vehicles. They are thorough and always give options but are up front and honest about the situation. They stand by their work and I have been there and watched as they assist students with their problems most times providing a way to fix it with out charging a lot of money. I highly recomend them for any auto needs.

Tire City New & Used tires & Affordable Auto Repair
Went to the business to purchase a tire. Advised staff person I relocating to Atlanta, GA, he guaranteed the tire would make the drive. I was also advised the tire was brand new.On the morning of the trip I awoke to the "brand new" tire flat. I took the tire back to the shop. I was told I damaged the tire. He rudely told me "the sign says no refunds, we don't have a tire the size you need, but we have one two sizes bigger." The mechanic said "when you come back to town we can give you the right size tire."Being that I was traveling 900 miles, I was not comfortable driving on a tire two sizes bigger. I had to purchase another tire from Walmart. The money I spent at Tire City was lost.Save yourself some time, money and frustration, don't do business with Tire City. The business is a scheme and they sell bad tired that put your life at risk. Save your money and buy a tire from a reputable business. At Tire City you may as well flush your money down the toilet.

International Auto Care
I have searched for 30 years in Norfolk for honest, knowledgeable auto mechanics. I have finally found them. Look no further. These guys are skilled, efficient, and waste no time messing around with your vehicle trying to fix something that's not there. They will find what is exactly wrong, fix that and that only, and at a very reasonable price.
Tips & Advices
You should change your oil filter whenever you change your oil, that is, approximately every 7,500 miles.
A oil filter is a device that helps remove contaminants from motor oil as it passes through the engine. A pump pushed the oil through the filter where it is strained and goes back to the engine.
High-mileage oil contains special conditioners that are said to help prevent gaskets from drying out and thus preventing leaks. This can be beneficial to engines with many miles on them.
Synthetic oil costs more than conventional oil, but the price is offset by the need for less frequent oil changes due to the oil’s durability.
Tools needed to change your own oil include jack stands or ramps, a wrench, an oil filter wrench, an oil drip pan, funnel, replacement oil filter, and replacement oil.
