Marion's Pet World
this place is simply horrid to say in the least. From the stink of smoke the moment you walk in, and if you are lucky its just the smell and not a cloud of smoke.Hygiene is so poor many animals seem to be coated in a layer of grime and even feces, in fact in purchasing a ferret and cage from the store my wife discovered the cage was infested with cockroaches once we got it home.In buying a second ferret as a means to rescue it from this place, we thought we were getting a girl as that was what we wanted, in fact we had decided to not buy a boy. So finding a ferret we liked, both the sales woman and woman at the front desk claimed it was a female with the woman at the desk swearing it was a Marshal's ferret and that they had papers for "her" only that we had to wait until tomorrow to get the papers.Well we get "her" home and our boy ferret gets sick to the point we take him to the vet, who tells us its stress. Couldn't figure out why but in playing with our new "girl" later we discovered she was in fact a boy ferret. So the larger boy we had just introduced was stressing out our smaller boy that we already had. Of course we called to complain the next day, only to have them tell us that never once had they said it was a Marshal's ferret and that they did not have papers for it. Along with that they tried placing blame on someone else for not knowing it was a boy instead of a girl, which even if that was true someone else had told them it was a girl one would think the store would have checked to ensure. So for anyone still using this store I advise you to check everything out because they have no problems lying to people.
Tips & Advices
Pet owners usually sign a waiver stating that any injury or illness a dog suffers while at daycare is the responsibility of the owner. However, most facilities carry liability insurance and pet business insurance in the event of a serious incident. To prevent illness, facilities are strict about requiring proof of vaccination and general health from a veterinarian prior to accepting a dog. However, in an off-leash setting, scuffles or fights might occur. Reputable facilities will often hire vet assistants who can treat minor injuries and under-the-weather dogs.  For anything more serious, a good daycare should make it a priority to get the dog to a vet, and get in immediate contact with the owner.
