Go to peachtree city location- this one was nothing but disappointing!!! I booked a rental early in the morning for an intermediate vehicle and needed it for a week- my husbands car had transmission problems. I entered extra information online to make my experience shorter once we got there. I had no way to get there, so my 5-yr old and I booked an Uber there, assuming that since we had a reservation- everything would work out (I know now just how naive an assumption that was). We get there, and the young man at the counter seemed nice enough, we gave him our confirmation number and he proceeds to tell us that the car we picked is unavailable. Not only that, but absolutely NO rentals were available at this location! I politely ask to check peachtree city (the nearest location), and he tells me that he spoke with their assistant manager and they have nothing available either! So, frustrated and in quite a mental state of desolation, my daughter and I walk out into the 100 degree heat to figure out something. Just to double check, I decide to call the PTC location myself. Almost automatically this lovely voice comes over the phone - Leslie- and she says "well of course we have something available for you!" She then proceeds to tell me that yes they can hold it for me til I get an Uber there and did we know their rental policy with debit cards? Well no Leslie, the other location mentioned nothing about it! She informs me that I need 2 current bills or pay stubs, but not to worry- I can pull them up on my phone or email them easily! I get to PTC and they are extremely helpful (thank you Jamie and staff), and have no problem helping me into a vehicle, and within 20 mins I am driving off to get my poor little first grader some well deserved lunch! So... if you don't mind driving 15 extra mins down the road- it's completely worth the drive! As far as Newnan location- hope you are not in need and desperate anytime soon- nobody there will help!! Worst experience EVER!!!
I recently rented a minivan from the Enterprise located in Newnan, GA. The representative told me I would need to call the morning of to schedule pickups. I called first thing in the morning to schedule a 12:00 pm pickup from my work (located 3 miles from the branch), as I had an appointment at 2:00 that was an hour away. I wasn’t picked up until 12:40 (making me 30 minutes late to my appointment, losing the sale and costing me money). Once I arrived to the branch, The representative asked for my method of payment. I handed him my debit card (the SAME one I told them I’d be using when I called to confirm). He said that there was a debit card policy that required me to have 2 utility bills or a utility bill and a paystub. I didn’t have any of those items, as I was never told about this policy. Luckily I was able to scramble and pull them up on my phone and email them. Once we started heading down to Florida, my son and I couldn’t stop sneezing. We stopped at a Walgreens to get some allergy medicine. Upon further inspection of the van, we saw little white dog hairs all over the back seats and some on the passenger seat. My son and I are allergic to dogs. So, halfway through our trip we had to stop at a carwash, take out ALL luggage and car seats and vacuum and lint roll the interior to get rid of the hair and dander. This was a major inconvenience. Another major inconvenience that occurred not once but TWICE was getting pulled over for having expired tags! How does a car rental company rent a vehicle to someone with EXPIRED TAGS?????!!!! Luckily, both officers were understanding of the situation and we were not cited. Once I got back to turn the car in, I informed the representative of the tag issue and he pointed to a stack of tags on a nearby desk and said "Oh, we haven't put them on the cars yet". Overall, I am not pleased with the rental experience through this company. It would take major convincing to ever use Enterprise again.
This used to be a nicely run office by a Jehovah's Witnesses family. Though I do not share their theology, they were always professional and eager to serve customers. I'm sad to say this is no longer so. I'm not sure if the ownership changed, but the service certainly has. For example, on April 30, I rented a car from them, only to get one with a terrible interior smell and "service engine" light. Given I had a five hour drive ahead of me, both issues were unacceptable. Instead of swapping the car out immediately for a better one, I was informed that I must pay more for a different vehicle. Now, I've encountered odor problems with other rentals in other locations and it's no big deal. The store simply puts me in another car, no questions asked. Not this store. I finally agreed to pay a few bucks more for a different car. Then, when I returned two days later, I was charged an additional $28 for allegedly not returning the night before--even though it was a two-day rental and was not due back until the time I actually returned! Sadly, I no longer trust these people.
