East Ohio Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery
My husband, John, needed to have a wisdom tooth removed recently. We received a referral to Dr. Matt Pinsky. We went on-line to check out Dr. Pinsky's credentials and noted that he had graduated from the University of Michigan dental school and medical school. John wore an OSU shirt to the office for the procedure, just to make sure that Dr. Pinsky understood that we were both graduates of OSU.We had a good time talking to Dr. Pinsky and his team of nurses. The removal of the tooth went very well and the healing of John's mouth went very well.We would rate our experience as excellent!

We have been at this dentist office for over four years! Dr. Jump is my dentist although I have been treated by Dr. Main once too. The original office staff has grown in numbers throughout our care here, but each addition has been a positive:) Becky is my dental hygienist and she always does a thorough job! My father recently passed and my family received a personally signed sympathy card from each employee, that speaks volumes of this practice to my family!! Thank you Dr. Jump and team:)

Newark Family Dentistry
Have had my dentistry needs handled by this office for nearly 10 years. When I recently went for an unusual pain, a particular dentist spent a considerable amount of time addressing my questions and concerns. He expressed what I felt was genuine concern for my situation. At all other cleaning and filling procedures, I've experienced nothing but polite and professional staff.

Patel Minesh DDS Dr
Would give a 5 star rating for sure if it wasn't for the rude hygienist I dealt with today who was overbearing and offensive. Dr. Patel is a great dentist who I trust for my own dental care as well as my family's. I have never had any issues prior to this experience and highly recommend considering his service, but keep in mind the staff isn't quite top-notch.

McMillen Dental
I have been going here fore 15 years and it is a fantastic dental office. They are very timely and can be flexible with appointment setting. Since I was away at college for 4 years i was hard making appointments but they made it less stressful and were very accommodating

They really take good care of our teeth. We are treated great by their friendly staff. Always on time for appointments. When we get our teeth cleaned they handle both of us with care. When a person has to have a little speacial care they are the ones to help.

Tips & Advices
This depends on the prosthetic.
  • Dental implants, when cared for properly, can last a lifetime.
  • Crowns typically last between 10-15 years.
  • Resin-bonded bridges typically last between seven  and 10 years. Tooth-supported fixed bridges generally wear out faster than this.
  • Removable partial dentures typically last around 15 years.
  • Complete dentures typically last between five and six years.
The entire process for adding dental implants could take as long as eight months. There are three phases:
  • Phase 1: Grafting. This may take between three and six  months.
  • Phase 2: Artificial root placement. This may take one to two  hours to complete and will take between three and six  months to heal.
  • Phase 3: Crown placement. This is usually done over the course of two visits, two weeks apart.
One dental implant typically costs $1,000-$3,000. However, the abutment (a connector added onto the top of a dental implant) and crown can add $500-$3,000. Multiple dental implants may cost $3,000-$30,000. A full set of implant dentures may cost as much as $90,000, though the average is around $34,000.
A dental implant is a titanium post shaped like a natural tooth's root that is surgically inserted into the jawbone beneath the gums. These posts allow dentists to secure a replacement tooth or bridge in the correct position.
Maxillofacial prosthesis is a subspecialty of prosthodontics. A maxillofacial prosthesis is meant to rehabilitate patients who have defects or disabilities due to trauma, disease, or those that a patient is has from birth. The prosthesis is designed to replace parts of the bone or tissue that are missing, or to help restore functions of the mouth, such as swallowing, chewing, or speaking. Other prostheses are created to protect the face during radiation therapy. Dentists that work with maxillofacial prostheses often collaborate closely with ear, nose, and throat doctors.
