Sports Bars in New York, NY
982 Amsterdam Ave
I wrote a similar review for the Village Pourhouse downtown, my usual bar in the city, but on the managers suggestion I tried their uptown location. The main draw for me is that carry Redbridge, a Gluten Free Beer, which is very hard to find in the city. I found the uptown location to be right on par. The food was great and the staff was very friendly. I will definitely be back!

My fav place for beer.

A great neighborhood bar. I've eaten breakfast, lunch, and dinner here and have never been disappointed. The full Irish is great (and I even brought a real Irish person to try it), prices for food and drink are reasonable, and the bartenders are super nice and quick. It does get really crowded but that's just a testament to how great it is.

I've been here twice in the last couple months, and had a great time. The shuffleboard is cool - there's a board for signups, so you don't have to beg for a game. \r \r nice crowd they have a few tables and clean bathrooms. If you're in the mood, there's a good time to be had here.

On our recent trip to NYC, we dropped into Jimmy's Corner not having a clue what we had stumbled into. Being huge sports fans, my Father, brother and I were very familiar with who Jimmy Glenn was and was pleasantly surprised to find out that we had landed in his bar. The drinks were great and cheap compared to the ridiculous prices we had been paying at the other bars we dropped into. The service was the best and friendliest that we experienced on our entire trip to NYC. Mr. Glenn and his wife (whom we were told afterwards, nevers has her picture taken with anyone) Both took the time out of there day to snap a picture with us and just make a little small talk. Mrs. Glenn served up our drinks and Mr. Glenn sat and visited with us like we were long time friends. If you are in NYC you have to make it by this bar and have a drink or two and just check out the warm atmosphere and some of the coolest people in New York. The BEST bar by far!!!

My friends and I typically LOVE this bar on weekdays when the bartender Tom is there. We went on a Friday and spent a lot of money on their internet jukebox and they skipped our song intentionally, made fun of our song choice and when we complained they blew if off as if they didn't care at all. Very rude service given they have a paid jukebox service. Not a way to run a bar at all and though we normally love this bar, they will lose our business now.

We hosted my husband's 40th Birthday Party there recently and I said to my husband when we got home that evening I am going to ""pull a you"" and post something on their website because we had such a wonderful experience and I never do this kind of stuff! My husband has an account and as a matter of fact, swears by this site, so when the manager referred me to to it for reviews I was surprised to read negative reviews at all because we really just had such a great time! From the first phone call we only encountered cooperative and courteous individuals and the outcome of the party was just so wonderful! First of all my husband was shocked which is was exactly the reaction I was hoping we would get! The food was delicious, the atmosphere was perfect for our group, and we really just adored every step of the process. I would HIGHLY recommend The Havana Room as a place to throw a classy party on a budget! I am not sure how all these sites work but if anyone from the Havana Room comes across this a sincere thank you from me and my husband!I really cannot everyone involved enough! -Susan and Michael Brown

love, love, love this bar!! really big space.. it gets crowded on the weekends, but in a good way. drinks are cheap, bartenders are really friendly and the music is always on point. good place to hang out during the week for a few beers and game of pool or to loosen up and dance on the weekend. did i mention unlimited free hot dogs?!
108 W Houston St
I usually never write posts but, I live down the street from Bar 108 and a friend suggested we check it out for an early drinking spot saturday night... great call.\r \r What ended up being a quick drink turned into a few rounds of drinks and wings. There are so many different beers and the bartender was really helpful at recommending a good one! Also... YOU MUST TRY THE WINGS... soooo good! \r \r Definitely a new favorite hangout.
12.Romi Bar & Lounge

This place is exactly what Wall Street needed! Perfect after work spot with great drinks and great music. It is exactly what most people that like to go out are looking for. Great Bar Scene and good apps too! Just the perfect place!!!
133 Essex St
I would have never guessed to try this place out for food... My husband and I know one of the bartenders and he recommended that we come in for an early dinner with our 2 year old, so we gave it a try. The front doors open up to the sidewalk, and they set up a table for us right at the front entrance. The food was AMAZING!! We ordered tomato and onion salad with crumbled blue cheese and then catfish tacos....soooo good! We've been there many times late-night as well....It's definitely a cool atmosphere. That's why we were so pleasantly surprised about the food!
43 W 54th St
This palce was just a block from a trade show I went to at the Hilton. The bartender and staff were friendly, it was reasonable priced, and the food was very good. I would recommend stopping by. In fact, I stopped by for at least a short time to have a beer every day I was there.
167 Avenue A
I am at GYM pretty often to meet up with friends and find the staff to be very friendly, accommodating and good looking too. The atmosphere is very laid-back, no attitude whatsoever - a pleasant alternative to other gay bars in NYC where the ""trendy scenesters"" tend to dominate. It's probably the only bar in the city where you can always find people no matter what time you stop in - whether early evening happy hour or late at night. And chances are you can find someone who fits your type - no matter what it is. The drinks are strong and the prices are right, with specials every night. A lot of the guys are watching the games, but you don't have to be a sports fan to have a great time.
16.Wicked Pub Crawl
300 E 76th St
I have to say this night is probably one of the best nights I have had in NYC. It was cheep, easy, and memorable. This service is amazing. They do everything for you, and unlike other companies that I have dealt with, they are actually very organized, and responsible. At the end of the night (very blurry) I was amazed at how well the evening was coordinated and that our party never hit a snag. I would recommend this service to anyone.
17.Tribeca Tap House

Fairly new restaurant and bar on Greenwich Street in the heart of Tribeca. Excellent hamburgers great flavor, exceptional French Fries crisp, hot, not greasy. Nice beer selections. Local brews include Brooklyn Lager, and South Hampton Porter. They have been open for about 6 months.

World Famous Wings, Sandwiches, Seafood, a Full Bar and more all served up by your favorite Hooters Girl. Watch your favorite game on TV or just relax in the casual atmosphere with your friends. Delightfully tacky yet unrefined, Hooters is your neighborhood spot where you can kick back with cold beer and hot wings any day of the week. The Original Wing Joint since 1983.

27.Mc Faddens Restaurant & Bar

Happy Hours are the time to go... great crowd, fun music, and unbeatable drink specials... $10 top shelf open bar! Thurs 6pm is when it all gets going - the crowd gets crazier as the night goes on. Sometimes its almost too crowded - but just go there earlier in the week if you want a less packed place. Good drink specials on Fri/Sat as well.
1701 2nd Ave
An UES quintessential college bar! The UES has long been known for their ever-popular college and post-college crowd. But what ever happened to all those memorable bars? One by one, they have slowly disappeared. While a few remain, Patty's remains supreme. Cheep beers, good people and friendly management and bouncers. This place has no shame in having fun.\r \r Also, it is a HUGE hang out for the Boston crowd. Red Sox, Patriot;' and BC fans flock to the place.
146 Front St
The drinks are good so i the food one bad thing about this place is that this blond bartender spills my drink all over my new blouse lucky i got it out.
