Malik Eye Care
I really wish that I could give this place 5 stars because the doctor was great and took her time with my son to make sure that she had an accurate exam. I am very happy with the doctor and with the optical sections young lady who was pleasant. I however the middle age lady that sits at the front desk with long extensions was so extremely rude that she completely ruined the experience that I was initially happy with. I can't understand how she is allowed to continue to work there because I am sure that I am not the only person who was treated so poorly. This was paid for by my private insurance and most paid out of pocket so when I make such an expensive purchase I would at least expect some respect. I am due to go back next Saturday and I dread having to even cross a word with this lady. She needs to be spoken too.

DR Jack M Dodick MD PC
If you are like me and have been diagnosed with a cataract, you MUST book an appointment to see Dr. Dodick! I was terrified to have surgery on my eye, but after my appointment I was comfortable enough to proceed, now one day after surgery I can tell you it was PAINLESS! Dr. Dodick, his team in the office and at the hospital have provided me with the vision I enjoyed a very long time ago! Why I was afraid or waited seems silly now! My eye sight is getting clearer by the hour. His credentials are impeccable but for me it is also the care given to a patient, and that is what I received, genuine kindness and support. Thank You seems trivial when you realize how much he has given back to me. If I need anything on my other eye, I will run to his office without hesitation! Written with gratitude,Hon. Diane Yatauro

Tips & Advices
While the first appointment is the most comprehensive, the majority of appointments with an ophthalmologist begin with a basic eye exam followed by a refraction to test if glasses are needed. Other tests might include an eye muscle coordination exam, a check of pupil response and peripheral vision, slit lamp microscope test to look at the anterior segment of the eye, and an intraocular pressure assessment.
Most eye doctors will charge different amounts for their services, but a basic eye exam with an ophthalmologist can range from $50 to $300. Additional tests and treatment will add to the price.
Ophthalmology subspecialties include strabismus/pediatric ophthalmology, neuro-ophthalmology, retina/uveitis ophthalmology, cornea/anterior segment ophthalmology, ophthalmic plastic surgery, and reconstruction.
Ophthalmologists can diagnose macular degeneration, glaucoma, diabetic retinopathy, ocular albinism, vitreous traction, cataracts, astigmatism, myopia, retinoblastoma, and many more.
The most popular ophthalmology procedures are cataract, laser eye treatment, and glaucoma surgeries.
