Loho Realty
After getting the run around from another real estate firm, I decided to contact LoHo Realty. Their realtors were nothing like what I expected. They actually listened to what I wanted and did everything to ensure that I found an apartment I loved at an affordable price. The realtors treated me with courtesy and respect, and I will gladly recommend them to anyone.

The people in charge of 44 pinehurst ave do not care who lives in the building. The construction is ridiculous. There are 2 different constructions one in the building and one next to this building. The banging at 9am and you have a daughter trying to sleep. Also the cockroaches are a problem. I'm not sure where they are coming from but this building is disgusting.

I used those guys for my rental: smooth , flexible, professional and efficient. I got 2000$ back upfront when I signed the lease ! I regret I have not used them before . The usual brokers charge way too much for limited work. Keep the good work

Very unresponsive, unhelpful, disrespectful. Whatever you do, DO NOT use this company. They are the worst landlords I've ever had. Stay away or you will regret, you've been warned.

I rented a place with them and it turned out to be a nightmare. They are nice on the front end but then forget about it. Bed bug infestation in the building. Leaky ceilings. Don't expect any attention once you sign your contract until it's time to vacate and then they will invent fees and reasons to keep your security deposit. Sharon in the office seems to enjoy being evil and has no conscience and Elaine (who is supposed to be in charge) is either a pawn of Sharon's or just demented and doesn't know what she is doing. AVOID THEIR BUILDINGS AND COMPANY AT ALL COST! I've lived in NYC for 15 years with many different management companies and they have been my only bad experience.

The people that work for this company are so unprofessional, rude, unkind and TOXIC. They are inconsiderate of others feelings and do things to put other people down. I would not recommend.

Prior dispute with Property manager settled satisfactorily to both parties. Retracted comments that were made previously since we reached compromise

DO NOT RENT FROM THEM!!!ANYWHERE!!!They are mean, obnoxious, rude and entirely disrespectful. Not to mention impossible to get a hold of. Suspiciously, they do not have a website that I can find, and they refuse to give out email addresses, most likely so there is no paper trail of how disgusting they are when dealing with their tenants. I have never been so disrespected AND this is by someone I give thousands of dollars to every month!!!! People have said the management treats tenants like they are doing them a favor... SO TRUE!The on site staff is lazy, bitter and they retaliate against tenants who have a problem with it. The cost of rent goes up every year, yet no money goes into the inside of the building. They spend thousands every year making sure the outside looks good, but once you sign the lease they could care less about your concerns, even those involving a fear for your safety.Bugs everywhere, broken appliances, dirty and hazardous conditions in the public areas. RUN AWAY!!! You're better off living in a cardboard box under a bridge.

Mauro Brothers Real Estate
I have had an extremely bad experience with Mauro Bros and find that the brokers working there are not to be trusted. I rented an apartment through Felix Galarza who seemed nice and attentive during the showing [as fake reviews on Yelp describe it], but as I realized later I got tricked into a deal that cost me several thousand dollars extra.I was looking for a quiet apartment and thus asked Felix lots of specific questions about noise conditions in the building. I was trying to avoid large parties, loud music and musical instruments, kids next door, thin walls etc. Felix assured me that EVERYTHING was according to my requirements and as the showing was in the middle of the day when the building was deserted (as I realized later) it seemed to be true.Unfortunately on the very first night after I moved when my neighbors came home I realized that the walls are paper thin and I can hear every single step next door and be aware of every conversation not to mention my neighbors’ love for parties. As it turned out, everything Felix said about the apartment was a lie, which wasn't worth a penny from a ridiculous 12% of a yearly rent fee I paid for his “services”. In the morning I woke up from the mixture of kids’ screams (I have three around my apartment when Felix said none!!!) and sounds of working 24-hour car wash nearby he also “forgot” to mention. So as a result of Mauro Brothers “professionalism” I had to terminate the lease and look for another apartment paying for the moving and broker fees again, just a couple of months after I paid to Mauro brothers.I would not recommend to deal with them and I would avoid them at all costs.

Just a moment...
