Progate, Inc.
Tamas and his team are complete professionals. I am happy I went with them as in addition to the agreed painting work they also helped me with other minor jobs at no extra cost. And in fact came back a couple of times to fix stuff for me which they we're not obliged to at all. Tamas makes sure that he will do exactly what you need without charging you a bomb. Very competitively priced and he in fact suggested a few easy and free fixes so that my costs remain low. You can hire his team and rest easy, no follow ups needed, no issues of any kind at all, in fact.

I've really grown into my artistic spirit since attending Painting Hangout. They are altruistic and very hands on when teaching their students. I'm very satisfied with the quality dedication and concern they have with their customers!

My wife and I just started coming here and really enjoy what they have to offer. Plenty of knowledge to be absorbed and good instructors to make sure you understand what's going on. They don't judge your inexperiences. They explain your strengths and weaknesses regarding painting and gradually help turn everything into strengths!

Painting Hangout
Very positive energy and enthusiasm from the painting instructors at Painting Hangouts. They always teach educational lessons and invest additional time in making sure each one of us has a firm understanding of each technique. Usually it's a nice turnout and they hold special events on certain days of the week, so the classes are interactive and interesting. I've learned a lot here and would recommend it to anyone whose a sponge and likes to absorb valuable knowledge.

Painting Hangout
This is a really trendy place that's come a long way since I first started coming here. They have taught me the fundamental basics about painting and go above and beyond when demonstrating the proper techniques. I highly recommend painting hangouts as a competent learning environment!

Precision Painting Plus of Manhattan
The project manager and the crew did a very nice job and I'm very happy with the results. Professional painting company that stands behind their work. I will use them again for my next project.

Precision Painting Plus of Manhattan
We painted one bathroom. Materials were delivered the day before. Painters showed up on time, worked quickly and cleanly. The final product looked professional and the painter cleaned well after himself. Very good experience.

I found Precision on Angie's List. They had tons of reviews and were highly rated, so I decided to use them. My experience confirmed what the reviews told me. A little expensive, but very professional and great quality work. I will definitely be using them again.
Tips & Advices
For a long-lasting paint job, a clean wall is crucial. Ask how they plan to clean your walls, if at all, before getting started. A high-quality company will thoroughly prepare a wall so that the paint will lay smoothly and last a long time.
Yes. A well-established company will have more experience and likely more references for you to reach out to than a new company that's just getting off the ground. Be sure to ask for references so you can speak to former customers about their experience working with the painter. When speaking to these people, ask about:
  • Whether they had issues with the crew
  • If the painters were messy or neat
  • How the paint has held up since the project was completed
The quality of the paint will affect how good the walls look when the project is completed. If your contractor says they plan on using a paint you don't like, feel free to request an alternative.
If the contractor makes a point to train new hires on safety techniques as well as quality standards on the job, you're probably in good hands.
Unfortunately, there are plenty of cases where a painter has stolen items from a home or caused damage to the house or injury to the homeowner. Subcontractors may not be as skilled as employees, and the contractor you're hiring may not have much experience working with them, making them more of a risk. Additionally, ask if the painters are employees or subcontractors, and what the screening or hiring process is like.
