YP - The Real Yellow PagesSM - helps you find the right local businesses to meet your specific needs. Search results are sorted by a combination of factors to give you a set of choices in response to your search criteria. These factors are similar to those you might use to determine which business to select from a local Yellow Pages directory, including proximity to where you are searching, expertise in the specific services or products you need, and comprehensive business information to help evaluate a business's suitability for you. “Preferred” listings, or those with featured website buttons, indicate YP advertisers who directly provide information about their businesses to help consumers make more informed buying decisions. YP advertisers receive higher placement in the default ordering of search results and may appear in sponsored listings on the top, side, or bottom of the search results page.

The young girls behind the counter don't want to be there. They are apathetic and rude. They couldn't care less about the customer, who appears to be bothering them. The female manager is angry and nasty and sets the tone. Avoid this shop if possible. They are arrogant and rude and couldn't care less about helping the customer. I would go to the Home Depot in a heartbeat or any other place before I would spend another penny in this little store. They act as though they are doing you a favor and they need to take lessons in customer service. Horrible!

Who would ever believe the array of treasures in this small but extremely well stocked lighting store. After searching through a miriad of common place and mass produced lamps, I happened upon Filaments after attending a movie next door. What a delightful surprise. My home now reflects the unique and special accent pieces that I thought I would have to travel to Europe for. The prices were exactly as quoted and the job was delivered on time.

The two other reviews are really negative. Well, I have to say I've shopped there maybe three-four times, and I love it. Flax is so much more expensive and has a lot less to offer an artist/crafter. Maybe you can find better prices downtown, but I work in Midtown, and here-abouts it is among the best. I never had a problem with customer service or grouchy staff. Then again, I didn't really need any help. I personally recommend it highly. I love the size and assortment, especially.

Beautiful, if pricey, fixtures! I love my kitchen, hallway and bathroom lighting! They are lovely. Working with one of the sales reps about 7 years ago to find a base for a real antique was as easy as it got. I have to replace a piece which was broken during a bathroom repair job. The plumber thought it was a period glass shade, and was surprised to find out that replacing it would be easy. He had an eye for the real thing and was happy to know I could get another one; he even asked for the name and location.

DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME. When we walked in, we overheard the owner telling another customer that he wouldn't give him a business card. The customer seemed baffled and was like, Um, OK, I guess I'll just come back another time. Then we were the only customers in the store, and the guy came near us, didn't say anything, and just watched us like a hawk to make sure we weren't going to steal a lamp or something. To break the awkwardness, I asked a question about wattage of a lamp vs another lamp and he snapped that he couldn't answer that (like it's a dumb question). I tried again by asking about the light given off by a halogen vs a fluorescent lamp, and again he said, I'm not going to answer that. It got so tense we left. Maybe sales are great, but I doubt it. These lamps are expensive, and they are not any more interesting than anywhere else. I can't believe he sells to decorators. The lamps are just not so attractive and he's a bad guy.

A friend of mine recently purchased light canopys for her home. She unfortunately purchased the wrong size (too small) and the wrong items all together. She spent $50.00 dollars on these two items. When she tried to return the canopys they would not refund her money. They said the receipt they gave her at the time of check-out said NO Exchanges only Store Credit. She was NOT informed of this when she purchased the items. When explained to the manager of the store and the clerk that she was not told of the policy they became extremely rude and refused to return the money. They spoke in their native language making it difficult for her to understand what they were saying in front of her and then refused to give the owners name of the company when asked for. It was only when she became noticeably upset and angry they finally handed over the name of the Owner. In my view, this underhanded way of doing business is deplorable! If you purchase a product for your home and make a mistake and you return the items in a timely fashion a full refund should be given. Store credits for home items are useless as most times people buying canapoys will not have any need to purchase anything again at this type of store. In the Bowery there are so many lighting stores where the owners are reasonable and understanding that it would not be worth the time or stress to deal with unreasonable return policies and deplorable service. If Noble Lighting were the only lightening store in the city, I would not purchase anything from them. I would rather use candle light. Based on annual reporting this company estimates they make between 500,000 to a million dollars a year. No doubt they do due to this underhanded return policy.
