I?ve been to Ristorante DeGrezia located on E 50th st many a times and the experience has always been amazing. DeGrezia is a warm and comfortable setting with an excellent menu. The food is flavorful, fulfilling and beautifully prepared. The complimentary variety of warm breads accompanied by a tasty olive oil dipping sauce and creamy, flavorful humus spread is simply delightful. Some of my favorite dishes are?The Capellini Con Aragosta?. ?Angel hair pasta prepared in a lobster sauce with fresh lobster and a touch cream and cognac- IT IS TO DIE FOR? And if you love fish your mouth will thank you with this ""Chilean sea bass"" prepared in a tomatoe-zucchini and yellow squash herb broth with couscous. ---OMG out of this world Also if you love cheese like I do. You must try the cheese plates. It?s a mixed plate of a variety of Italian Cheeses, such as Teleggio, Parmigiano, Gorgonzola, and Tuscan Pecorino --YUM!!! ....I cannot say enough about DeGrezia, every dish is perfect from the timing to the temperature to the array of flavors that came thru in every bite. If you love to eat and want the experience and some of the most exquisite tasting Italian food you will have in NYC, then you have found your place at DeGrezia ?(a little pricy but so worth every penny). DeGrezia is a Great unpretentious relaxed atmosphere where the Maitre D and waiters are very attentive and the food is second to none, whether on a ?first date? or a ?party celebration?, You won?t be disappointed?. you will leave wanting more.

My husband has been raving about this restaurant for months. I went to see Jesus Christ Superstar with a friend and made reservations for 5:30. The play ended at 4. Took a chance to see if I could be seated early. Not a problem at all. Food was delicious. I had the seafood ravioli from the specials. Excellent. She had the pumpkin ravioli and said the same. We then ordered dessert. She ordered a souffle and they told her they make it fresh and it would take 20 minutes, was that okay. We weren't in a rush and as the restaurant filled up, they never once made us feel hurried. We were there about 2 hours. I must admit that my husband was right. Great food, reasonable price for Times Square area. Will definitely go back.

My family and I were looking for a late dinner around 9pm and stumbled across this place near times square. The fig ""Del Re"" pizza was delicious and tangy (unusually pleasing) and the boccinoni (not sure on spelling, but cheese with prosciutto for appetizer) was delicious. The wine selection was alright, we ended up with a spanish red which accompanied the food nicely. To boot, we were promptly seated and the service was attentive. All in all, easily in the top 3 dining experiences i've ever had in times square.

I have been going to Nino's now for 9 years and its always been the best lunch I could get for the money. The pasta and sandwiches are delicious and the price is always the best part. I can eat with a friend, get a full lunch with glasses of wine, and still pay less than $30 for both of us. Also, the service is FAST! Great for people who truly have to take 1 hour for their lunch.

In my opinion the restaurant is amazing and the price and the ambiance are really good. Besides the pizza (great!) you must try the homemade Spinach Ravioli. For the cold days the lentil soup is delicious! As a starter I suggest the eggplant parmegiano: absolutely delicious!!! If you want to try a dessert I really recommend the Key Lime Tart: wonderful! It is a very nice place to go, but if you decide to order you won't be disappointed: they are fast, the food is always fresh and hot. I've ordered several times with my husband, and it is always a good experience. I really recommend it!

I enjoy going to Grifone. Once you become a regular, you become part of the family. The food, the wine, the service all add up to perfection. The only better Italian food than Grifone that I've eaten was in Italy. I even proped to my wife while dining there. The wonderful staff made that evening even more special. Dine at Grifone, just once, you will go home happy!

What made it unique or special?Daniela's Trattoria came highly recommended by the box office of the Play we went to see a couple weeks ago & they totally steered us right!\r \r We were looking for a locals go-to spot for good pre theater dinner that would offer actually decent-tasting food w/out the touristy rip-off prices & this fit the bill perfectly....the Play Bill that is (tee hee)\r \r Couldn't decide between the Gnocchi or the Penne Arrabiata so the waitress goes, why not get the Gnocchi w/ the Arrabiata sauce? BRILLIANT!!\r \r Tasty little pillows that were just the teeniest bit chewy (aka - great texture!) and the spiciness of the sauce w/ it's cherry tomatoes was outstanding.....I've found my new fav gnocchi-sauce combo! Takes the heaviness of the gnocchi & the lightness of the spicy tomato sauce & it's the best of both worlds!\r \r Friend got the Penne ala Vodka w/ sausage added & her plate was likewise licked clean. \r \r So flavorful, pasta cooked perfectly w/ the perfect amount of sauce, & scalding hot - we knew it was prepared fresh.....as if the open kitchen didn't clue us in.\r \r Wish we had had room for dessert as their case looked way too tempting - but time was not on our side & we had to dash to our Play.....but next time for sure!!\r \r Tons of people getting takeout & a full restaurant. We felt very lucky to have found Daniela's!\r \r

I must admit, I have been to many neighbrhood places in the GRAMERCY / CHELSEA area, and ALEO is a sleeper. I used Opentable and got 1000pts. I was amazed at the freshness of the plates and the people were so sweet and kind to us. I ate a special VEAL CHOP that was off the hook good. My girlfriend had a plate of pasta that was amazing. The server was a terrific young man who was so sincere that he would not let us buy a more expensive bottle of wine , instead he directed us to a less expensive better wine, and then gave us complimentary cordials at the end. ALEO we will be back.

My friend and I have been going here for lunch and/or dinner for many years now. Atmosphere, service, food and staff are fantastic! We are now friends with the staff which makes our experience even better. Brushetta is wonderful. The chicken piccata is in a light sauce with capers - fantastic! The Cosmopolitans are the best we've ever had. They also have a huge wine selection. The atmosphere is romantic, but is also great for a group of friends hanging out after work. Dinner for two including appetizer, meal, drink and dessert is approximately $70-$80. Highly recommended!

I have been eating at Po for dinner for years and the food, service, wine and atmospher get better every time I go. I am stunned that they are able to still impress me after all these years with their unbeleivable food, amazing wine and now incredible brunch! GO GO GO GO GO! The traditional egg fritatas are to die for, washed down with a proseco you feel like you are in Italy..... this is the best food experience yet! Reservations for dinner are nearly impossible, I highly reccommend their brunch to get a taste of the food. YUMMMMMMMMY!

I've been to a lot of Italian restaurants in NYC and I hate that the mojority looks so ""fake"" and all the usual prefab atmosphere just makes me want to run away. Bocca is so authetic!! The Fellini's posters give the restaurant a real personality and considering also the kindness and proper manners of the staff... it's already worth at least a visit!!\r \r The food is authentic, delicious, something you would like to never see the end of. It's nothing like the usual ""Italian"" recipes re-adapted for people who don't know how they're really supposed to taste. I actually enjoyed every single bite of my super tasteful salmon on squash noodles... Yummmy!!!\r \r Great wine list, a little... more than a little pricey though. But I have to admit that my Gewurztraminer was the impeccable match to both our fish delicious dishes!! :)\r \r Definitely, BEST Italian restaurant in NYC.

Enjoy a meal at Bar Eolo and experience our chef's love letter to the region of Sicily. At Bar Eolo: Sicilian Kitchen & Wines, food is thought to be a source of great pleasure as well as an insight into the culture and history of Sicily. Over the millennia, Sicily has been a cultural crossroads, inhabited by the Greeks, Phoenicians, Arabs, Romans, Jews, Normans, Bourbons and beyond. Sicily has kept several elements of these cultures and incorporated them into its own. In a warm and relaxed setting, Bar Eolo serves Sicilian-inspired contemporary fare and offers an award-winning selection of Sicilian wines. Our menus change seasonally and feature typical Sicilian delicacies as well as organic ingredients from local farms. According to Homer, Eolo-Italian for Greek mythology's Aeolus, ruler of the wind- lived on the volcanic Aeolian islands off the north coast of Sicily and was a favorite among the Greek gods. He gave Odysseus a wine bag filled with wind to speed his historic voyage home. Nearly there, Odysseus's curious crew opened the bag, the winds escaped and their ship was pulled back to the Sicilian archipelago. From the chef proprietress: When I think about Sicily, my sensory memories of childhood summers come flooding back: the heat of scorching sun, the view of shooting stars in August, the taste of salt when swimming in the Mediterranean Sea, and the scent of the wind, which delivered the hot scirocco breeze from Africa in the desert-like summers. The air carried warm aromas of bread baking at the nearby panificio, dried shrubs burning to fertilize the soil and garlic and herbs from my neighbors' kitchens. All of these smells arrived at my balcony window thanks to my imaginary friend, Eolo. ~Melissa

My fiance and I brought my Aunt and 2 cousins who live in the mid-west to this cozy Italian restaurant after they told me they wanted good NY Italian food. I saw this restaurant by walking by and thought I would take a chance. They exceeded all of my expectations and more! The service was excellent as soon as we walked in the door and didn't stop until we walked out the door! The food was plentiful and delicious! I had the vegetable risotto and it was the best risotto I have ever tasted! The wine list was also extraordinary and we never had an empty glass. The waiters were constantly there when we needed a refill!
