The plumber who came to fix my toilet was very professional and efficient. I hope that I will not have the same issue again, but if I do, its nice knowing a great company to rely on. I highly recommend them for plumbing!

Maxine Shriber Interior Design New York
I worked with Maxine Shriber on a makeover package last month. It was a great experience she got my design style immediately and recommended pieces that complimented my existing furniture. I would recommend Maxine to anyone who wants a full service experience. I intend to use her in the near future to hang everything for that finished touch.

Double Win Design Consulting Co
I called in to order an item and the lady said she would call me back later to talk about it. I never got a call back and when I called again, she said she had forgotten to write my information down and my order down. I kindly told her my information and order again. She had not written down the order and just tried to memorize it. When I finally got my item, it was not the correct item and when I called her about returning it, she said they would not pay for the return shipping and I had to pay it for it to be returned. No. You got my order wrong, it is on your behalf to pay for the shipping. She tried to blame it on me and would not except the return. She argued with me on the phone when complaining about the incorrect order. This company is a liar and has very bad service. Do not purchase from this company. Absolutely horrible.

Emily Robin Design New York City Home Stager
I would certainly recommend Emily to anyone looking to do their interiors or home staging! I am a home owner who was looking to sell my two bedroom apartment in a pre-war building on the Upper West Side. Emily was recommended to me by a friend who had used her services to stage her apartment for rental. I was keen on updating the look of my apartment while still maintaining its old world charm which I'm delighted to say Emily achieved within my budget. With some great rented furniture and a few contemporary accent pieces she brought the rooms to life. We only had to have one open house and the apartment was sold. In fact, I even had a few people ask for her details. And I have to add, she was very easy to work with.

Emily Robin Design New York City Home Stager
I am a broker and Emily Robin Design did the staging for my seller who had a large pre-war apartment with mostly traditional and antique furniture. The goal was to de-clutter and update by adding a few contemporary accessories and of course placement. Because the seller lived in the apartment, Emily showed my seller things to do to make the apartment look glossier and put together for showings. Emily is a delight to work with and the seller and I were very pleased with the results.

I had a wonderful experience working with Ldl Interior Custom Furnishings on a multiple units building on Central Park W. I interviewed many types of kitchen designers. The LDL staff were professional and knowledgeable. The product is for high standards. Customer service is phenomenal. From the planning stage to the completion of the entire project, the interior designer has been wonderfully helpful. He was competent and has paid attention to the details and given me wonderful ideas. I would recommend anybody who wants to renovate their home to work with LDL. R.G.

A great place to by replicas. They have a ton of different styles to chose from. I purchased an Eames lounge chair replica from them and couldn't be happier. They have friendly staff too.

What a great place to buy Eames reproductions. I love my Eames lounge chair. Their furniture is made with high quality materials and they are made well.
Tips & Advices
Provide the landscape designer with photos of designs you find attractive and might want to emulate. Gardening and architecture magazines can be useful in this regard. It's also important to let the landscape designer know how the  space should function. For example, a space that is being used as a play area for kids will have different objectives from a space being used to entertain friends. Finally, have a clear idea of how much you are looking to spend, since this will impact the build choices made by the landscape designer.
Interior designers can generally work on every type of room, but one should not assume that all of them can work on every type of space. More complicated projects--for example those in buildings with historic preservation strictures, or those that are going for sustainability certifications--will be suited to interior designers with specific expertise. Also, interior designers that have experience in a certain type of project may not want to take on projects that are outside their expertise. For example, an interior designer who has only worked on commercial projects may not want to do a small private home.
Every interior designer has their own style, but some designers are more versatile than others. Some really do specialize in functionality and code compliance, whereas others are more focused on aesthetics. Interior decorators are completely focused on visual impact, and therefore should be reviewed and selected based on how well their style is a match for the client’s tastes.
Full-service interior design starts with an assessment of a site and the client’s long-term needs for that space. It encompasses concept design, floor plans and lighting plans, providing project specifications to contractors, supervising  contractor negotiations and installations, applying for permits, and shopping for all the materials and pieces for the project. On top of this, there are the “decorator” deliverables, i.e. creating the aesthetic of the space, selecting wall colors/covers and furniture pieces, purchasing products and installing them.
An interior designer may come into a development project very early on, working with the developer and architect from the pre-construction phase. They may be the one to design floor plans, decide where to place interior walls, and supervise contractors that are installing elements of the build. They often work on commercial projects, although many of them work on residential projects. Interior designers can “switch hats” and do interior decoration, which means they are only focused on the aesthetic elements and visual components of a residence.
