Deva Physical Therapy
Ms. Deva helped me and many of my friends in film and television production. We work incredibly long hours and lift heavy things on a daily, so having someone who can travel within hours notice and assess what is needed with our crew is essential to keeping safe, healthy, and positive workers on set. Ms. Deva has been a strong supporter of the arts and works within our budget and time frames. With a postive outlook and strong leadership skills, Ambika & her team produce positive results. I always feel rejuvenated and energized after her sessions. I will continue to support her practice and refer her to clients young and old.

Deva Physical Therapy
I contacted Deva Physical Therapy when I injured myself playing softball. I had a major hematoma on the back of my leg and I thought I tore a muscle and was having a difficult time walking. When I contacted Deva Physical Therapy, Ambika Deva the owner of the company was very pleasant and able to provide a consultation on the phone without an initial appointment. She was able to guide me in the right direction prior to my doctors visit. She was knowledgeable and thorough with her recommendations for my leg injury. I highly recommend her as a Physical Therapist !!

What a great team! From the minute you walk in you know you're in the right place. I had been dealing with chronic neck and back pain for a couple years now since im in a field that required manual labor so i knew from the first visit that i would need to come back at least 2 times a week to feel my best and be able to do the things i need to. Not only do they have a doctor in physical therapy but a chirpractor who is in every day and a DO doctor who specializes the muscles/bones of the body. i have my follow up tomorrow and ill be all ready for the weekend!

Brandwein Mark-Soho Chiropractic Center
Dr. Brandwein and staff offer consistently excellent service and personal care. I have suffered from chronic back pain since the age of 11 when I suffered a major back trauma. Being a New Yorker and having to walk a lot each day, my visits to Dr. Brandwein have helped me to manage during those bad "flare up" times. More recently I injured my leg and knee, and I was able to receive the best in immediate therapy to get me literally back on my feet from Dr. Brandwein and staff. I can't say enough great things about them!

Core Focus Physical Therapy
Core Focus PT is the best place for quick recovery after a sports related injury. Very friendly, polite and knowledgeable staff. The therapist are highly skilled. Sherry (my therapist) was always precise when figuring out what area to work on and adapted my routines to my current state/progress. She always had great suggestions how to help myself outside of therapy sessions as well. I was definitely in perfect hands. The facility is absolutely clean and very well equipped. It is a place I can highly recommend.

Deva Physical Therapy
I first worked with Ambika a number of years ago at a physical therapy facility. When I learned she had started providing home-therapy service, I was thrilled. I have worked with her in my apartment on at least three different occasions for a variety of problems. She comes prepared with tools and accessories to facilitate a range of PT activities. I have also recommended her to my nephew, who is a sports medicine rehabilitation M.D. at NY Presbyterian/Weill-Cornell.

Back pain can be difficult to deal with on a day to day basis. Many times I've had to miss work or call in sick because just getting out of bed was a chore. After going here and getting their top notch treatment and care, every day became a day of happiness and was a pain free day. When you have been in pain throughout your life, it is truly a miracle to be pain free and actually feel good. What they have done for me is nothing short of a miracle.

Deva Physical Therapy
Ms Diva worked with Mr. Jack Rollins for 3 years, she did an excellent job, her therapy helped him to be able to transfer, and walk and get in and out of bed. She is terrific, reliable, friendly, caring, thoughtful, gentle. And the most important thing is that she knows what she's doing. I highly recommend her services to anyone with mobility issues. Deva Physical Therapy
I have had therapy multiple times by various home physical therapists. Ambika was definitely exceptional and one of a kind. She was very thorough and patient with me and was compassionate after I had my knee surgery. She taught me how to walk again with my cane and made me feel safe while walking in my neighborhood. I highly recommend her and her company (Deva Physical Therapy).Elaine S.
Tips & Advices
At the first appointment with a physical therapist, Expect an overall assessment of your condition, which may include exercises to understand your range of motion, balance, and strength. Based on that information, the therapist can then design a regimen.
Physical therapists can work in a variety of environments. While many choose to work in a physical therapy clinic, others will operate out of hospitals and are also able to make house calls to help patients who need in-home assistance and rehabilitation.
Physical therapists can specialize in sports medicine, women's health, geriatric, neurologic, orthopedic, pediatric, and cardiovascular and pulmonary conditions, among others.
See a physical therapist following a serious muscle or bone injury, especially if pain doesn't go away within a few days, is recurring and dull, or is frequent and sharp. Book an appointment if medication is not helping or if your doctor recommends it.
The majority of health insurance plans do include physical therapy treatment, but the amount covered and the co-pay for patients varies person-to-person. Medicare and workers’ compensation both cover physical therapy.
