I started going here with my co-worker Saba months ago, and became obsessed. Love the ambiance, reasonably priced, the food is AMAZING! I get the truffled polenta to start with every time I go. Anything I've ever ordered there has been delicious.\r \r I normally go with friends or coworkers, but recently I went with my boyfriend, his mother and his sister. His mother is a tough critic, but was blown away by the quality of the food. She ordered the spinach salad and the frutte di mare pasta. even my boyfriend, who is a health and gym nut, finished his food and was picking off my plate of pasta.\r \r The service is sometimes good sometimes not- I've had some fantastic waiters and some crappy ones. The good thing is that everything else is so superb you barely notice!! And the Italian family who owns it, including Massimo and Damien, are SO nice, so welcoming, greet you by name and walk you to your table, sometimes even sitting down with you for a bit. \r It makes you feel like you walked into a neighborhood trattoria in Italy.\r \r This is my go-to dinner spot. Great for going with friends, family, or on a date.\r \r

The food was wonderful and the service was very good too. We had lobster salad, the bronzino, and special of the day was a Greek-style lasagna. Got 2 veggie sides too. All of it was delicious. They have a funky bar area offering some very different cocktails. Maria Loi comes around and asks about the food as well, which is a nice touch. I would eat here again as many items on the menu were appealing.\r \r Enjoy!

This place is amazing. Not to mention my absolute favorite part is the back patio-which takes you directly back to a small vine lined cafe in Paris. The staff is authentic, and the food is delicious. I recommend this place to anyone. They also accommodated us when we were in a huge rush for a show after. Superbe.

I think if they had pictures, it would make it a little easier to understand the menu, lol. But seriously though, the food there was amazing. I went there in March with a group of friends and we all enjoyed it. The staff was great. There was a super long wait and we waited after our reservation to be seated which really annoyed me, but the manager was very generous in providing us with complimentary appetizers and desserts for our HOUR long wait for a table. Our bill was a small fortune even with the comps, lol - but everything was well worth it. The deserts were great also.

It was a cold night. Snow was falling. The street was indescriptive. We, my friend and I, found this place lively and warm outside and walked in. The jazz band was performing the second set. There was a positive energy around and we ended up ordering two glasses of wine at the bar and then a bottle. I don't remember what it was but it was earthy and nice. I will go back to try the food.

Not living in the city, I heard about this place for the first time. I went with my boyfriend and was delighted to have a wonderful meal. The waiters are exceptionally nice and polite. Very helpful to someone that hasn't been in an organic restaurant before. However, I have found that despite the wonderful food and great staff, the chairs and tables were beat up. But, that wont hold me back to come again. Thank you guys your great, :)

I love this place!! Domenico's is a hidden gem for it's obscured location and seems like a small room at first but then once in, it opens up and feels like your in Italy! The service is great and the food is delicious. What I really like here is the authentic cuisines that are offered. These are not restaurant creations but true recipes from Italy that not everyone knows unless your truly Italian. I would definitely recommend this for romantic couples or large groups to enjoy authentic Italian food.

I went there last year and had a great time. My wife had dropped her phone near coat check and the people there picked up the phone, dialed the last number that had called, and returned the phone to us that same night. They didn't have to do that and could have just set it in the lost and found BUT they didn't. That's why they're getting 5 STARS. I recommend this place to everyone! How can you go wrong with any place that gives you a 5 or 6 hour open bar?

I've been a regular for many years and the manager Nino at Iguana's has been the best! Nino is professional and really cares. I have only heard great things about him and the staff. It's a great place to go and have a wonderful night.

Very inventive asian fusion with flavors you wouldn't expect to find that work really well and are a very pleasant surprise. We had a fish dish that has moroccan flavors alongside sushi and spicy tuna pizza. It was all delicious and the drinks were great too! The food was very reasonable and the drinks were typical NYC prices.

Some of the best memories are made at the breakfast table. And for more than 50 years, millions of people have made those memories at IHOP.

I found this place over the weekend and am in love! Duane Park is not only an amazing restaurant with tasty Creole inspired food (you must try the bouilliabaise!!), it is also making its way into the entertainment circuit a few nights a week. On Friday, there is a burlesque show. Yes, that's right, burlesque! No cover! It's classy, inspired, and I felt like I was in 1940's Paris. The room transforms easily into this environment - it is spectacular. I can't wait to go back. You must check it out.

My husband and I stake out the best churrascarias wherever we go. When we moved to New York 3 years ago, it was right around our anniversary, and what better way to celebrate than by going out for some perfect, succulent meat? We scoured the web, and concluded that Churrascaria Plataforma was our best bet. Were we ever WRONG! It is absolutely (I was so stunned by the poor quality, that I have tried both locations just to be sure) the worst rodizio I have had in the US. I wanted to ask for our money back. We decided to avoid the churrascaria scene like the plague after that, but one night, driving down Park Ave, I saw a sign advertising an opening for Porcao. I could barely contain myself, because I knew it was an authentic Brazilian chain that I had frequented when I lived in Salvador, and this characteristic I have found to be the most accurate predictor of good quality (like Fogo de Chao). We were not disappointed, and we go back whenever we have an opportunity to celebrate. We never wait for a table, which concerns me, actually. My husband and I are terrified this place doesn't get enough traffic, for whatever reason. Are people still going to Plataforma?? Yeesh.\r \r This is my first review, and I became a member just to write it. I would be devastated if this place closed, so I decided to get my voice out there and hope people would discover this same precious gem! It's not the best churrascaria I've ever had (I'm still a Fogo devotee), but it is by far the BEST in New York City. The meat is excellent, and includes some unique preparations (be sure to try the beef injected with parmesan pellets!). Try it!

I had such a great time on my first visit to this place, which doubles as a restaurant. The drinks were amazing, using premium liquor from very cool places around the world. The ultra-swank vibe is really cool and it's a perfect place to chill with friends. I love how ""underground"" it is and I'm totally going back. Also, take a look at the basement; a perfect place to host a private party. I love this joint!

Had dinner there last night with my husband. We showed up with no reservation, yet Vincent sat us with no problem! The ambiance is great - and the place is beautiful. Nice music, soft lighting, candles - it was all very romantic and very ""New York."" The UWS needs more places like this. Our apps were great - grilled shrimp - as were our salads. The main courses were good (although not to die for), but definitely good enough. The dessert was the best part though - little powdered donut type things dipped in white chocolate. There were absolutely amazing!\r \r Overall, it was a wonderful experience. We will definitely be back!!

Went there last night for the first time and it was a great place. We went on a Tuesday night the and terrace was not busy so me a my girlfriend got a table right by the edge. I personally feel that Terrace in the Sky is probably one of the most romantic restaurants in NYC. I went with the regular menu and everything was cooked well and the ingredients were awesome. If you plan on going try the calamantra pasta, it had the most unbelievable shrimp. The waiter was very professional and made the experience so much better, gave good recommendations and provided world class service. Definitely would recommend it to any couple.

This is my favorite Chinese restaurant, been going there for over 10 years.\r Check out their cold appetizers, smoked fish, preserved duck, spicy five jewels, vegaratarian mock duck,..black mushrooms wrapped w/ bean curd skin. \r There is one stupid rude waitress...she's short (around 5 feet) and wears a ponytail...the rest of the staff is pretty good.

Paola's was a very welcome surprise. We usually go downtown for dinner but we wanted something close on the UES and booked last minute. The decor is a little tacky (fake luxury in earthy tones), the service a little gruff (east europeans pretending to be italians) and the clientele eclectic with a mix of older UES folks and rowdy B&T people but the food was superb. The menu is fairly traditional Italian but the execution was very strong, The pasta is freshly made with the sauces not too overbearing. We had an excellent plate of truffle ravioli and a hearty amatriciana. The appetizers are diverse and well made: the home made mozarella was to die for and the salads were good. The main courses were very good as well. A veal milanese was perfectly executed with the batter being done just right, the scallops were fresh and a veal chop was perfectly cooked and very tender. The desserts were also excellent: a fig ice cream was all about the figs and an apple turnover was good but a little soggy. Highly recommended for the food, if not the ambience.

Loved this place! The proprietress and staff are charming and helpful and the dinner was marvelous. 1st rate Boullibaise (sp?) and a lovely mushroom/ escargot / frisee appetizer. Also an excellent wine which the proprietress helped us select. We can't wait to return.
