Want to taste the most delicious pecan pie this side of New Orleans? I have been a loyal customer here for 10 years and it gets better with great additions (danish), the pies and cakes, (german chocolate, old-fashioned yellow and chocolate, YUM) and they have great indoor or outdoor seating! If you want to pick up a great dessert or just sit and have a cup of coffee and something really delicious, Little Pie Company is the place to go! This place is not cheap, but worth the extra $$$

Shortly after I wrote my original review (""Prices good, brownies OK""), I tried the white chocolate brownie. And oh my...was that good! Obviously, if you're looking to satisfy a chocolate fix, that won't do it (as there's absolutely no chocolate in it at all, unlike many ""white chocolate brownies"" which are often chocolate brownies with chunks of white chocolate mixed in). It's my favorite FatWitch brownie, by far. It's a buttery, melt-in-your-mouth type of dessert. And thank God I only had one, because if I'd had more within my reach, I wouldn't have been able to stop myself. A must-have.

Cupcakes and Beer! Are you serious? I've celebrated many a birthdays this way and am so happy to have a place in the West Village to now call home. The cupcake and beer pairings are so awesome. Definitely defer to the staff. The Pure cupcake was my favorite so far followed by the Sweet Revenge, but all are good. Such a fun atmosphere. Great place to hang with your besties or go on a date.

It was the best french toast I have had! Excellent service, tasty food, clean, good prices... no complains at all!

I never realized how expensive those cakes on the cake tv shows are until I was shopping around for a cool birthday cake. I wanted a big show stopper cake but when I got quotes from various bakeries they were half my entire birthday party budget. I found Cakes Confidential on a wedding site. They made my birthday cake exactly like I wanted and I was still able to afford an open bar:)
23.Tompkins Square Bakery
341 E 10th St
I searched all over the web for a bakery that would make an Angel Food cake for my father in-laws 70th birthday (it's his favorite). Tompkins was the only one that said they could make one. I've never been to the bakery nor had I heard of it. I was desperate and needed an Angel Food cake. I ordered it sight unseen and had them deliver it to the restaurant where the party was. The cake was DEeeelish! It was a classic traditional Angel Food Cake. Thank you Tompkins Square Bakery! I can't wait to try the rest of your line. Keep up the delicious work.

Great pastries. I will remember it as long as I live. Truly the best pastry I have ever tried. High quality. Last time I stopped by, they are auctioning their facilities. They are going out of business. Miss you, guys.

Had a great late lunch here on Friday w/ a friend after reading some reviews here. Since most of the tables were taken, we decided to eat at the bar tho they do have a high communal table which I thought I was nice. The service at the bar was super friendly and very helpful when trying to choose from a menu where everything looks yummy. We finally decided to share the endive blue cheese and candied walnut salad, I ordered the tomato soup w/ grilled fontina cheese sandwich (sooo good), and my friend chose the ham & cheese baguette which was also tasty. I do agree w/ everyone that everything was rich but if you?re like me and pretending to get to the gym after the new year, then its all good. Also, I wouldn?t necessarily consider the place as a ?cheap eat? either but I still thought it was worth it; all that food, plus a hot chocolate and ice tea came out to $60 including tip. I?ll be back.
26.Wimps Bakery and Cafe

Took my family to Harlem for an outing today. The highlight of our trip was a visit to Wimp's Bakery and Southern Style Buffet!!! We already knew about the awesome homemade desserts, but little did we know that there is a full buffet --complete soup to nuts!! Fried Chicken, Collard Greens, Macaroni & Cheese, and fresh salads and fruits to top it off (and eliminate the guilt) smile. Gotta try it!!! Absolutely Awesome. Looking for another excuse to go back.

I ordered a carrot cake from Black Hound Bakery for my mother's 72nd birthday last year and she absolutely loved it! I live in Atlanta and she is in a very small town in Kentucky- so small that I worried about the delivery of the cake. However, the cake arrived on time and (from the pictures my other family members sent) it was absolutely beautiful! Carrot cake is my mother's favorite and according to her this was by far the best she's ever had! I spoke with someone from the bakery (Debbie?) before delivery and she couldn't have been nicer or more helpful. I just placed another order for a strawberry cake today and I'm sure it will be delicious also! If you're thinking about sending a cake to someone, I highly reccommend the Black Hound Bakery.
28.Bits Bites & Baguettes
22 Park Pl
I've been to Bits Bites & Baguettes so many times that I HAVE to write about it - I LOVE this deli!! I work in the area, so I am there every day. First, the menu is huge, so I am never bored - they have everything. Second, everything I have ever had has been great and is so reasonably priced. My faves include the lobster salad sandwich, the farmhouse salad, the G7 grilled sandwich (chicken breast, jack cheese, carmalized onion & tomato on foccacia w/ avocado dipping sauce) and even just the fresh roast turkey.\r \r If you are in lower Manhattan, you must try this place for breakfast or lunch. You will thank me!
29.Aryan Bakeshop Inc
