For 50 years The Rib Room has enjoyed its reputation for outstanding food and service. Patrons have found the massive windows facing Royal Street the perfect backdrop for Crescent City dining. The woody, Old English atmosphere and high ceiling invite guests to sit back and stay awhile. The softly lit and equally comfortable Rib Room bar offers the ideal setting for sophisticated beverages and extensive wine cellar selections. In the restaurant's wine cellar, diners requiring privacy may choose from the "Pipkin", "Wine Cellar", or "Roundtable" rooms, perfect for small gatherings; each discreetly removed from the main dining floor. On the upper level of the Rib Room we feature a private room for groups up to 40 guests. Winner of the prestigious Zagat Award, The Rib Room offers classics such as slow roasted prime rib of beef, aged steaks, fresh Louisiana seafood, and champagne brunch on Sunday.

We wandered down Bourbon St. And decided on this place because of the barker out front- he made it seem like a nice restaurant. We were seated upstairs on the balcony. It took way too long to receive our food even though sewers party of 7. We were given the explanation that the tables on the bottom floor wereall filled (which they weren't when we went in), as if that should've mattered. The food wasn't special. We didn't have the problems of the previous reviewers- we didn't send anything back. But, the alligator po-boy I got didn't taste much like alligator. Exercise caution in choosing this place.

In its dazzling contemporary setting among the bold iconic canvases of George Rodrigue’s Blue Dog, Besh Steak is not your traditional steakhouse. 150 rich brown leather seats, some in private curtained booths, are set among crystal puddles of azure blue. A sleek, backlit wall of wine bottles is flanked by a glowing amber bar and an open brushed-silver kitchen. High-rolling guests and food critics alike will be swept away with the cool dining grandeur at Besh Steak in Harrah's New Orleans. Please note that you and your party must be 21 years or older to enter. The restaurant melds Chef John Besh's devotion to local Louisiana ingredients and techniques with traditional steakhouse menu items. Wine and spirits are also an integral part of the dining experience at Besh Steak, with hand-selected cellar choices to accompany each dish.

Hands down best (I Know, I know...) Bloody Mary in the Quarter, possibly New Orleans... And the food is way better than you think when you walk in... If you're lucky enough to stumble in you're sure to be dazzled by how well you'll be taken care of... Try the chicken fried steak with white sawmill gravy along with eggs, grits, and biscuits... Had he most amazing meal at Galatoire with my Fi's family. I suggested the place and no one was let down. The Grand Goute, fried eggplant the potatoes were great beginings. A new thing was the salad with everything, called a Godcheaux Salad, it was just yummy and amazing. I had trout and it was made perfectly. I think they could add a few deserts and the wine list was reasonable. A great night in a great New Orleans tradition.

I was recently searching the yp.com for some new uptown restaurants that my husband and I haven't tried. I came across Pascal's which is one of our favorites and read the below review and had to pass a comment along. I have to completely disagree. For the past 15 years I have been a regular customer at Pascal's Manale. Never have I ever been disappointed. The food and service is always up to par. This restaurant is family owned and it has the "old" New Orleans vibe which is definitely rare to come by anymore in the city. The restaurant was given some updates after Katrina which are lovely and kept the same ambiance as before the storm. As for the food, every dish is a good dish. Whatever the specials are, I highly recommend getting them. They oysters Rockefeller & Bienville are amazing, the oyster bar rocks. Also I love how family friendly the restaurant is, as well. If anyone has had a bad experience here, I would definitely recommend giving it another try. It may have been a bad night.
