2 Hours Late. More time than Estimated. We called "Precision Movers" but got this truck & invoice instead. Movers do not wear uniforms. Movers dud not introduce themselves by name.We required no packing & only one table was dismantled for the move. When given a three hour estimate on the phone, I was already skeptical. We had already told them we required a 1 hour drive to our new apartment & we were moving to the third floor. The move took 4.5 hours. Which, honestly, was what I expected. No problem, there. Our main issue is that the movers arrived 2 hours later than expected. We were called 45 minutes before their arrival to notify us they were coming.Service was good. They worked consistently & took minimal breaks. They were smart about doorways & heavy lifting. $30 charge for stairs was not discussed on phone prior to arrival. If they had mentioned the stair charge & called -prior- to the time of estimated arrival to let us know they were going to be late, I'd give 4 stars. If they'd mentioned the stair charge & been on time, I'd give 5 stars.

If I could have given these guys 10 stars I would have! MGM did a fantastic job. I contacted these guys at the last moment, as i was in a bind, and they were able to help. I must say they did not stop hustling form the time the began the move until after they were finished. These guys never took a break. I was amazed by the entire crew's work ethic. I am a small business owner, and I wish my team was even half as good as theirs. Mario is a pleasure to work with! Every member of his team had a great attitude! They were amazing. They may be a bit more expensive than some of the competition, but they are worth every penny of it! I have a lot of antique furniture and several thousands of dollars in fine crystal. Everything arrived in my new condo in perfect condition. I have never seen a moving team work so fast and so well. It was as though I was witnessing a well oiled, well orchestrated machine. Job well done, and I recommend these guys to everyone! GREAT JOB!

Moved our 1 bedroom apartment full of furniture in an upstairs apartment into a storage unit 40 minutes away....only took them 3 hours!....AND it was raining!...The two guys were very polite and moved furniture as if it were their own. They also carefully stored it in a storage facility. Was very impressed with the two men who showed up. Would recommend them and will use them again.

ASAP Moving & Delivery
On October 1, 2017, James and Jake of ASAP Moving and Delivery did an exceptional job moving our small business. From the time I made the phone call on Tuesday and spoke to Arthur, to the time James and Jake finished on Saturday, everything was professional and great. The price for a move is very affordable. We would definitely use them again for any business or personal moves.

New Orleans Moving Co
I hired New Orleans Movers twice in the last year. The workers are careful with all furniture. I had delicate pieces of furniture both times and they handled everything with care. Tip them well they deserve it. I would recommend them highly.

Tips & Advices
Yes, it’s best to empty drawers, wardrobes and chests before a move. Items always get knocked around a bit, and doors can fly open even if they’ve been taped. In fact, more often than not, movers will want to remove the drawers from a dresser--or disassemble the wardrobe to be more space-efficient.
Yes, it is customary to tip movers, but the amount varies widely. For full-service moves, a 5 percent tip is suggested, although, for extra service, some people go up to 10 percent . For small local movers, you can give each mover $10 for a few-hour job, or $20-$40 for jobs that take longer.
A bill of lading is the legal contract for the move. It provides a detailed receipt, in addition to a contract between the client and the mover. It authorizes the mover to transport the goods from one specific point to another, and it outlines the exact scope of services, with cost breakdown for those services. It also provides an itemized list of the inventory, and carrier liability protection for each declared item. Finally, it specifies the payment arrangement. Make sure to go over your itemized list extremely carefully before finalizing the paperwork--and get a copy of the full document. A good mover will go over everything on the bill of lading with the customer.
There are several items that moving companies will not move – those items will be listed on a document as “non-allowables.” These items typically fall in three categories: perishables, sentimental/personal items, and hazardous material. Perishables are food and plants. Sentimental/personal value is up to the client to decide, but usually includes jewelry, medical and dental records, personal paperwork, valuables and collectibles. Hazardous material is the tricky category, since it includes a lot of everyday items found in the garage, garden or kitchen. For example, cleaning liquids and pesticides both are considered non-allowable by many companies. Some go so far as to disallow nail polish and batteries.
A binding estimate means that the moving company cannot charge more than the stated amount, though they can lower the final bill if the scope of the job was smaller than expected. A non-binding moving estimate is more likely to wind up costing more than expected, since the movers can increase their rates for unforeseen variables like stairs, “long carry” and materials.
