YP - The Real Yellow PagesSM - helps you find the right local businesses to meet your specific needs. Search results are sorted by a combination of factors to give you a set of choices in response to your search criteria. These factors are similar to those you might use to determine which business to select from a local Yellow Pages directory, including proximity to where you are searching, expertise in the specific services or products you need, and comprehensive business information to help evaluate a business's suitability for you. “Preferred” listings, or those with featured website buttons, indicate YP advertisers who directly provide information about their businesses to help consumers make more informed buying decisions. YP advertisers receive higher placement in the default ordering of search results and may appear in sponsored listings on the top, side, or bottom of the search results page.
Antique Dolls in New Orleans, LA
612 Dumaine St
Wonderful people helped me with several requests that I had - the shop was beautifully appointed, with clean, beautiful displays, and enchanting scents that wafted out as the door was opened. They spent lots of time with me, explaining different herbs and their benefits and side effects. Like the stars above this review say - run, dont walk here :-)

I’ve been a consignor at Heirloom Furnishings for 7 years and have always had a good experience. The owner and associates are friendly, professional and helpful and there is a warm and welcoming attitude at the store. The terms of the contract are very clear and I have never had a problem selling anything there. Over the years I have bought some excellent pieces at great prices and have been very happy with my purchases. I would definitely give the store an enthusiastic thumbs up.

My wedding this past weekend at the House of Broel was OUTSTANDING! We could not be more pleased with how it turned out. Let me tell you; if you are looking for exceptional service, attention to detail, and a beautuful setting to have your fairy tale wedding in this is it. \r I am not a first time bride, so I did not have any unrealistic expectations. I simply wanted a place for a few family and friends to gather and relax after our vows. Bonnie and her staff handled everything. The atmosphere was romantic and warm. It all took place in her Victorian mansion in the garden district with the ceremony in the garden courtyard. The food was amazing-very southern. From hand passed crab cakes, catfish, and cheese tarts, to main a course like shrimp ettouffe, it was pentiful and delish. The alcohol was all included and they made sure i always had a drink or food in my hand. Needless to say my expectations were exceeded a thousand times over. I am one happy bride. Best wishes!

Avoid this store like the plague. The owner Joan Good is in her own words a racist. She chased me out of her store exclaiming that I could not afford to buy anything there. And then admitted that she is a racist (FYI I am an African American woman). I was visiting New Orleans for the National Urban League Conference. Not only did she force me out of the store, but she let a white man in and then locked the door. Exclaiming to him that I was a bore. The irony is I could afford everything in her store -- I just don't want to be ripped off with ridiculously high prices. So I had asked her whether her prices were firm -- several years back I had gone to the store and the prices for the same exact pieces had gone up 2x even though they had been sitting in the store for 2 years. Noone should be treated in this manner. And people like Ms. Good gives New Orleans a terrible name. And fulfills the many stereotypes when one thinks of racist people.

Unfortunately, the owner is more interested in the sale than customer satisfaction. As a visitor to New Orleans, I purchased (rather ordered ) a ring that was NOT in the store. I was told I would have the item in 2 wks. After returning home, 1800 mi away, I realized the style as NOT something I would get a great deal of use from and phoned to cancel the order. I was told I had to take the item! They said they have a no return policy ! Imagine my surprise to that, hen I had NOTHING in my possession. Later they phoned and offered an "In Store" credit. I live 1800 miles away. This dispute is now in the hands of the credit card company. Stay away from these people...they will do anything to get you to walk out of the store with merchandise. PS. One month later they UPS'd the package under the owners name....not the stores...in order to acquire a signature of receipt.
1231 Decatur St
I recently bought what I was told was an antique men's gold and sapphire ring from this store. When purchasing the ring I even asked the sales person (who was also the owner) point blank if the stone was real and was informed it was. Well it turns out the sapphire is actually blue glass and I've even gotten a formal appraisal to that effect. The owner in spite of the overwhelming evidence refuses to believe that the ring is fake and allow me to return the ring for a refund. I have been forced to dispute the charges for this ring with my credit card company. Needless to say I will never shop here again and if you are smart neither will you.
