    Dr. Greenlaw is smart, very professional and very compassionate. We feel very fortunate knowing he is in New Bern. I would strongly recommend him to anyone.

    In one of the worst times of my life, this animal hospital did nothing, but make it worse. Early one morning the unfortunate happened. My dog got out and was hit by car. I rushed her here for help and spent everything I had trying to save her. When the fight ended and she had crossed over the rainbow bridge, my money was gone so I had to take her with me. I had a hard pill to swallow and called the family and asked for help to get her cremated. We are a military family and are in the process of moving so burying her, on property that I didn't own and would never be returning to, wasn't an option. That evening, we took her back to the vet, still wrapped in plastic, told them we would call first thing in the morning to make payment and we did just that. They told me it would be a couple days and that I could check back as often as I needed. I called everyday, open, lunch and closing. I did that for a week, all they would tell me is that she wasn't back yet. A week had passed, my anger and pain couldn't be held in anymore, I wanted.. I needed my sweet Ann home. I called and demanded answers. Well, after I made payment, nobody took the "HOLD" sticker off her. She sat in a freezer for over a week! As I called everyday checking and them telling me she wasn't back yet to only find out they disrespected me and my sweet angel by leaving her in the freezer. All the times I called and they said they checked. If they checked, this wouldn't have been carried on as long as it did. Someome should have caught on to what was happening. Don't get me wrong, in their eyes, "they did everything they could to make it right". They said sorry and gave a $100 credit for us to use there. Well, that $100 didn't cover the cremation that I personally think the person that is responsible for all this should have paid plus I will never step foot inside here again. This place, the people that work there and especially the one that took payment and didn't take the "HOLD" tag off, should be ashamed.

    Office refuses to call or fax my online pharmacy a prescription that they do not have the generic form of in stock. They told me they do not support online phamacys but they are failing to support me and my choice. The best doctoring is useless if its merits cannot make it to my animal in a timely manner. I don't feel a toll free phone call or fax is too much to ask or beyond reasonable expectations.

    They were caring and compassionate (terminal cancer) and very accommodating and helpful during our dog's last few days. However, when the time came to put him to sleep, I was not impressed with the staff. We called beforehand, were told, yes to come. Ended up sitting in the parking lot for 30 minutes. Doc came in, syringe in hand, never introduced himself, complete lack of compassion during the whole process. Never even petted our dog. The dog was not sedated enough and stood up screaming as final meds were injected. Horrible. No explanation, no compassion, nothing. Asked for a box, they only had body bags. I stupidly insisted on a pet carrier. I got a plain cardboard box, two sizes two small for my dog. If they had said sir, please take the body bag, it will be better for everyone, I would have, but they said they would get me a box. When I spoke to the owner, she seemed to care for the first 3 minutes of our conversation, then made it clear that the conversation was over.

    This is a good animal hospital. It isn't going to be cheap since it provides quality care. And the people at the front desk are all super nice. Nobody has ever been rude to me and I have 4 pets I bring there.
