Dental Dreams
Unlike the other reviews, which im assuming are from people who already had issues i had quite a pleasant experience with Dental dreams. I went in for a consultation for dentures. The staff made me feel very comfortable about my visit. As did the attending nurse and Dr Zhao. She checked everything made an assessment then let me know she felt it better to save some teeth and only do a partial denture. After a quick extraction i was given extra gauze for the area and given several choices as for follow ups. Clean and professional service without judgement. I would definately recommend this business to others along with the advice that online negative reviews does not make a terrible practice.Judge for yourself.

My children were always afraid of the dentist until I found Koolsmiles.. My son needed a filling and I was a wreck. my heart was dropping as I waited in the waiting room for him to come out. when he finally came out he was full of smiles laughing . He couldn't wait to tell me how the sweet bugs were running around in his mouth as the doctor was trying to catch them and it bit him but he wasn't scared.. If he only knew it was the needle with Novocain that really bit him.. The children love the play area as they wait to see their dentist .. Koolsmiles is a wonderful place for children and I highly recommend it.. Thank you for the care you give my children.

I had a appointment for a filing that would take about an hour. BUT i was at work and only had a 30 min break. I managed to convince one of the lovely assistants to help get as much as possible done with the time frame that I had. Ask and you shall receive I got one of my fillings done and the session ended just in time for me to make another appointment and get back to work before my idiot boss got another reason to yell at me.tl;dr They are willing to switch things up for you should you need it.They are wicked professional.Place is always clean.Staff is wicked friendly. Linda always has a nice tan and she is the bomb.com.5/5 would go again

I am pleased with the care and service I receive at Kool Smiles, New Bedford. DA Daniel, Desiree, and Dr. Kim are personable and professional. They always have a smile for you, and treat you with respect. I feel completely relaxed and confident that whatever procedure I am going to have will be painless and completed the right way. I am so thankful that I found this place and these people to keep my teeth healthy and my smile beautiful. My whole family goes here now, I have had many dentists in my life, but Kool Smiles and the great staff are by far the best I've ever had work on my teeth.

Kool Smiles of New Bedford
My first visit to Kool Smiles was easy and painless, literally. Meghan, Desiree and Dr. Kim did a great job in helping me with my broken filling. Going to the dentist is not the most relaxing of activities for me, but Meghan and Desiree made the environment and experience very comfortable. Dr. Kim kept checking in with me throughout the whole procedure and was very pleasant. I will keep Kool Smiles New Bedford as my dentist office of choice :)

I went into the office the day before Thanksgiving. The front desk staff was extremely friendly especially Lindsey. I was never a fan of the dentist growing up but everyone at Kool Smiles is so professional and friendly they make you feel very comfortable. The hygienist Wendy and Dr.Kim were amazing and I left the office very satisfied. I would recommend this office to anyone who needs good dental care.

My son came into the office for a cleaning. After his cleaning we were told he needed a filling and they could do it that day. He was very nervous but the staff was great. Linda explained everything in detail and made us feel very comfortable. And it was a plus to not have to come back a 2nd time for the filling. I will absolutely be coming back to Kool Smiles.
Tips & Advices
  • If a tooth decays and the nerves or pulp (soft internal tissue which helps teeth develop) become inflamed or infected
  • If a tooth is cracked or broken and nerves are exposed
This generally depends on any specific issues you wish to address with your teeth. There are toothpastes designed to whiten teeth, fight cavities, decrease sensitivity, prevent bad breath, resist gingivitis, and those specific to children (with lower fluoride content). There are also toothpastes that offer “complete” protection by combining aspects of many of the above toothpastes.
It’s recommended to get a professional cleaning at least two times per year.
  • Desensitizing toothpaste numbs the nerves in the teeth that can cause discomfort.
  • Mouth guard can protect against grinding teeth during sleep.
  • Fluoride treatment can be applied by dentists to sensitive areas to numb teeth and strengthen enamel.
  • Root canal can treat problems in a tooth’s core.
  • Surgical gum graft where a piece of gum tissue is removed from a section of the mouth to cover an exposed root.
Not everyone needs to have their wisdom teeth removed, but there are certain signs that can help you and your doctor determine if yours should be:
  • Wisdom teeth are pushing other teeth around, causing pain and misalignment
  • Cysts form around newly emerged wisdom teeth, causing jaw damage
  • Gums get inflamed and swollen, causing cavities and pain
  • Doctor determine from x-rays that wisdom teeth will cause problems in the near future

Just a moment...
