Chula Gemignani CMT
I was fortunate enough to find Chula as my prenatal massage therapist. I am also a bodyworker, and so appreciate a knowledgeable, effective bodyworker. Chula is not only both of those, but also very professional. Chula worked on me at the end of my first pregnancy, and so when i was pregnant again this last year, i couldn't wait to call her again. I can't begin to express the amount of gratitude i have for Chula! She helped me so much with extreme pains i experienced during my pregnancy. Her understanding of the body and her ability to apply that knowledge make her a wonderful therapist. Chula is also willing to unravel the layers that might be involved in the various discomforts of the physical body. She has listened to me share from my heart, and has offered empathetic and helpful reflections that enabled me to move through emotional blocks. Even now, after i've had my baby, I will use Chula to help me with an on-going hip injury. She provides thorough and effective bodywork, and is always willing to listen to my needs. She is an asset to our community!

Chula Gemignani CMT
Chula has been my preferred massage therapist for years since we met in 2006, including a year-long period when I visited her weekly for massage to heal a leg injury. She was an amazing part of my healing team, and thoughtfully provided recommendations at sessions for everything from stretches to research, supplements, or other practitioners that could help my healing path. As long as I've known Chula she's been continuing her education to bring the best techniques to the table for her clients. Chula's work with the psoas, the diaphragm, the neck, and the jaw have all been transformative for my body. I like deep tissue work, and she's met and exceeded my expectations and requests. Chula is professional and punctual, has excellent rapport and has been tender, funny, quiet, and calming with me in all the right moments, as well as accommodating music and sound requests. An hour is never enough, I always like to get an hour and a half!

Marjorie McDougal LMP
I am amazed and grateful for the healing services I have had from Marjorie. Even as she performed her magic, I could feel energy moving and releasing throughout my entire body, even though she was only working on my shoulders, neck and arms. Unlike the usual massage, this experience goes beyond physical relaxation into very subtle energy realms and creates a palatable feeling of well-being and lightness of both body and mind. After only a few sessions, all the pain in my shoulders and arms was gone. The knots of many years of stress and tension are melting away. What a blessing!

Chula Gemignani CMT
Chula is a wonderful massage therepist. She is empathic, strong, intuitive, compassionate. Her office is comfortable, clean & welcoming. The atmosphere is healing and cleansing. She is very skilled in body work and many other healing modalities. I don't often splurge on massage unless my body is literally aching for it and Chula is the only one I call.

Her craniosacral, lymphatic and energy bodywork were very effective in helping me recover from auto accident injuries and chronic headaches.
Tips & Advices
At the first appointment with a physical therapist, Expect an overall assessment of your condition, which may include exercises to understand your range of motion, balance, and strength. Based on that information, the therapist can then design a regimen.
Physical therapists can work in a variety of environments. While many choose to work in a physical therapy clinic, others will operate out of hospitals and are also able to make house calls to help patients who need in-home assistance and rehabilitation.
Physical therapists can specialize in sports medicine, women's health, geriatric, neurologic, orthopedic, pediatric, and cardiovascular and pulmonary conditions, among others.
See a physical therapist following a serious muscle or bone injury, especially if pain doesn't go away within a few days, is recurring and dull, or is frequent and sharp. Book an appointment if medication is not helping or if your doctor recommends it.
The majority of health insurance plans do include physical therapy treatment, but the amount covered and the co-pay for patients varies person-to-person. Medicare and workers’ compensation both cover physical therapy.
