Holt Plumbing
Very Pleased with Holt Plumbing! I had a broken drain pipe under kitchen sink, also had new garbage disposal installed. I called Holt Plumbing, the lady who answered phone was very helpful, answered all questions patiently and I did not feel hurried or rushed at all. She gave me the hourly rate which was more than fair. After speaking with her at length I didn’t call anywhere else, I set an appt. for the next afternoon. I received a call when the LaVergne area plumber, James, was on his way to my home. When he arived he was polite, professional, surveyed the work to be done and gave a price estimate before starting. He was friendly, quick, left no mess, explained what he was doing, had me look at and test sink and garbage disposal when he was done to be sure I was satisfied, etc. While we chatted he mentioned that Holt Plumbing was a great company to work for and that the people there were just down home family people. I had asked him if I could add a tip on to the credit card charge for him personally because I was pleased with the work and pleased with the bill, but he replied that he was paid fairly by the company already and that if I was happy enough with his work the best “tip” I could give would be to call the office and let them know. I did. If I ever have another plumbing need I will be calling Holt and requesting the LaVergne area man, James.

Hers and His Plumbing
Folks, can we stop blaming the plumber and put the true blame back on the warranty company? I used Hers and His first when a had a home Warranty for a home I'd just purchased. Although the warranty (2-10)was crappy, the service I received from Hers & His was first class. 1 year later, my WH was leaking from the TMP valve and my tub faucet had graduated from a drip to a steady stream. I called Hers & His to schedule a plumber to make the repairs. 20 minutes later Daniel the plumbing technician called to let me know he was 10 minutes away from my home. There were two plumbers that arrived from this company, Daniel and Josh. They were professional, personable, patient and prepared. They asked questions for clarification. They were patient and thorough in explaining the why's and how's and educated me on the maintenance of my WH and other products(thanks a bunch Josh). I felt that what I paid for the service was very affordable and reasonable. It was a great customer experience that they created and kept the ownership the entire visit. I will use them again.I would like to add that they do the same great service regardless if a home Warranty is used or not. They do not nickel and dime you and limit your repair service like a home Warranty does. I will use them again.

Morton Plumbing
I like this company for three reasons:One, they guarantee all their work. They guarantee your satisfaction period. Also, they warranty most of their work for 6 years; if you develop leaks, they'll come do the repairs free of charge. Two, they don't bill by the hour; instead, their plumbers bill by the job. It may seem higher priced upfront, but it actually gets you better quality in the longer run. The job can take much more than a plumber estimates, and you don't have to pay extra.Three, their plumbers are not paid on commission and do not try and oversell anything. In fact, they offer cost savings options whenever possible.Four, their work is the best in town. A+ quality. In short, if you have plumbing issues, Morton should be your first call. They also have an outstanding HVAC repair department.

Holt Plumbing
My family, my friends, and I have used Holt Plumbing for over 20 years. They are the fairest and best value in town. I have never had an issue with any work performed and felt I was always treated fairly when they were done. I have referred Holt Plumbing to all of my friends, and none have ever come back to me and say they were not treated with courteousness and fairness. The employees at Holt Plumbing are very service oriented, they try to get as much information from you as they can to give the plumber a heads up as to what your problem is before they arrive, that way there is no wasted time in getting you back in business as quickly as possible. I recommend Holt Plumbing highly, you will be sorry if you called someone else.Sincerely,L. Wilkes

Hers And His Plumbing
I would rate 10 STARS if it was a choice! Hers & His is thee most outstanding, “got-it-together” company I have dealt with in a long time. Professional, follows through, and does exactly what they say. Jeff Lamons (Nashville) was incredible handling, coordinating and get the job done in a timely matter. (This was not some leaky faucet, this was 300' of new water line from the street) I cant say enough and for me to sit down and write a POSITIVE REVIEW is unique and deserves every good word. I wish they could share their business skills with companies like COMCAST! It would be a better world! Thank you guys! We have shared your company with everyone regardless if they need work done. Much success to you! Patty & Tony Jones

Morton Plumbing
We had a hot water heater stop working suddenly and needed a plumber asap. We are somewhat new to the area and Morton was recommended to us by a friend. We called around 10 am and they were able to come out and assess the issue within 1 hr. The water heater needed replacing and they were able to get the new heater and replace it same day. I was very thankful! My only small quibble was that there was some discolored water that spilled on our concrete basement floor when they drained the old unit. It would have been nice if they could have cleaned that up before leaving. But overall very happy with our experience and will call them again if we have a plumbing issue.

Morton Plumbing
When I had a plumbing emergency, I felt I really was at a plumber's mercy. I had heard about the service Morton Plumbing had provided to some of my friends and decided to call their office. My friends were not kidding about them, they were fast, fair, and did a excellent job. They saved me, stopped the leak in my wall, and even cleaned up the mess. I know they must have put us at the top of their list, because the plumbing truck arrived within 10 minutes of my call. I am so glad I called Morton rather than any other plumber. I am sticking to them for any other emergency and when my water heater needs replacement.

Morton Plumbing
I'm a repeat customer of Morton Plumbing and will call them when our air conditioner needs service as well. They train their crew to be respectful. They take off their shoes or wear covers so they never track in dirt or mud into your home. In all the years they have come and serviced our toilets, water heaters, clogged drains, they have never asked to use the restroom. I would not have minded, but they obviously take care of that before they enter my home and I admire the professionalism. They guarantee their work but I have never had to have them come back and fix something. They do it right the first time.

Morton Plumbing
I have used Morton Plumbing for years. It is no surprise to me that they were voted the best plumbing company in Nashville by The Scene Readers. Most people think Hiller would have won, but sometimes the smaller companies with truly great service shine above the rest. I was thrilled to hear they are doing HVAC repair now. They have some experts on staff that can handle and air conditioning repair. If your home needs a new unit, they will replace your current one with a new unit that is highly efficient.

Maddox Plumbing
I called Maddox Plumbing at 9:30 in the evening because my water heater was leaking all over the garage. They came right over, and prior to doing any work, gave me a complete run down of the problem. Unfortunately it was leaking internally and had to be replaced. They stayed until a bit past midnight. The work was done very well in a timely manner. The guys even cleaned up, and took the old water heater so I didn't have to deal with it. I would highly recommend this company
Tips & Advices
  • Are you licensed and registered?
  • Are you insured and bonded?
  • How many years have you been in business?
  • What, if any, professional associations do you belong to?
  • May I have a list of references?
  • Do you offer a written warranty for your work?
  • Will I need a permit for this work?
It is important to have a written warranty for any work or repairs done to the plumbing in your house, especially if it is a major repair. Look for a professional  who is willing to  stand by his or her work.
Before you hire a plumber, contact their past customers if you're able to. These people can be a wealth of information if you ask them the right questions. Pose the following queries to these former patrons when you get the chance:
  • Were you pleased with the work done?
  • Was the project completed on time?
  • Did the plumber give you a written warranty and guarantee his or her work?
  • Were there any unexpected costs that arose?
  • Would you hire this plumber again? If not, why?
A permit provides added assurance that the work is done correctly. Having this in place means an inspector will check the work your contractor or plumber does to ensure he or she did the job correctly. If you plan on putting your house or commercial building on the market, a real estate agent and prospective buyers will want to check any large work you did to make sure it was done properly.
A trustworthy plumber will have both commercial liability insurance as well as be bonded. The insurance and the bond protects the plumber from paying for any damages made to your house out of pocket. Having professionals that carry both of these policies can protect all of you from any mishaps that could occur while they work on your building.
