Preferred Movers of Nashville Nashville, Tenn.
They are here packing us up right now for our move to Florida, it's a military move and already very stressful but the two gentlemen that showed up Robert and Chris have been amazing so far! They are both very polite and everything has been packed great so far! Breakable objects have been wrapped very well. They have moved pretty fast but not too fast where they are just throwing things in! If the day ends like this I would say it has been one of our best packing jobs so far! This is saying a lot coming from me as I'm crazy OCD about packing and our stuff! I'll update when the day is done but I'm assuming my 5 stars will stay as I'm very happy with this company so far! I even forgot to grab a paper from the filing cabinet and he helped me find the right box even unpacked it to make sure I found it! Now that's good service! :)

Bo's Moving Company
Russ and Aaron were excellent movers! They called me 30 minutes before to let me know they were on their way. Showed up a few minutes early and got straight to work. I was completely shocked how quickly they move everything from the third floor of my apt into the truck. We went from Antioch to a storage unit in Mt Juliet. I thought my 10x10 unit was too small but Russ got everything in there like a Tetris puzzle. To mention this was done in 2 hours. I was so pleased with their services and will definitely be using them again in a few months when I move again.

Master Movers
These movers were great! They spent all day with me and never had one problem! They were careful while still being fast, they moved me from Bellevue to Franklin and did a fantastic job. I have all white leather furniture and I was concerned about it being covered, they gave me the option of shrink wrapping it for added protection, at no cost. Just what I was looking for. Can't say enough about how nice these men were. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!!

Smooth Move Movers
This moving experience was night and day from our previous. In our previous move our movers were rude, on their phones, and moved slowly to increase the hourly price. So I was a little nervous when it came time to move again. With Smooth Move Movers I had a wonderful experience! They were on time, efficient, pleasant to be around, and went above and beyond to help me get everything moved. I would definitely recommend them!

The Green Truck Moving Company
If you are moving soon in Nashville, I can't say enough good things about Green Truck Movers. They packed and moved us, and their entire team is super-professional and friendly. They were on-time, hard-working and extremely flexible. We had a couple of last-minute changes, and they just rolled with it and did whatever it took to make it work. Moving isn't fun, but these guys make so much better!

Hallelujah Haulers
Company was on time, worked well together, and successfully moved us in within the promised timeframe. We were very satisfied with the way our stuff was taken care of and they were nice enough to put together our very difficult bed and some other furniture. We will recommend to friends and we will use them for our next move.

Master Movers
Movers were great, very careful and polite. Very Very satisfied with our move will definitely use again. They moved our four bedroom house with no damages. I just had the floors done before we moved in and I was really worried about them but these guys were very careful and didn't hurt them at all. Excellent!

All My Sons Moving & Storage
We used All my Sons for a local move. We had gotten several quotes and were pleased with their estimate. The crew was prompt and hard working. It took a few hours longer to complete the move than estimated (which resulted in additional overtime charges), but overall were pleased with the process.

The Green Truck Moving Company
The guys at Green Truck Moving are professional and work efficiently. I have used them twice now and would not think of hiring a different company. They treat your belongings with care and make sure everything is one piece!
Tips & Advices
Yes, it’s best to empty drawers, wardrobes and chests before a move. Items always get knocked around a bit, and doors can fly open even if they’ve been taped. In fact, more often than not, movers will want to remove the drawers from a dresser--or disassemble the wardrobe to be more space-efficient.
Yes, it is customary to tip movers, but the amount varies widely. For full-service moves, a 5 percent tip is suggested, although, for extra service, some people go up to 10 percent . For small local movers, you can give each mover $10 for a few-hour job, or $20-$40 for jobs that take longer.
A bill of lading is the legal contract for the move. It provides a detailed receipt, in addition to a contract between the client and the mover. It authorizes the mover to transport the goods from one specific point to another, and it outlines the exact scope of services, with cost breakdown for those services. It also provides an itemized list of the inventory, and carrier liability protection for each declared item. Finally, it specifies the payment arrangement. Make sure to go over your itemized list extremely carefully before finalizing the paperwork--and get a copy of the full document. A good mover will go over everything on the bill of lading with the customer.
There are several items that moving companies will not move – those items will be listed on a document as “non-allowables.” These items typically fall in three categories: perishables, sentimental/personal items, and hazardous material. Perishables are food and plants. Sentimental/personal value is up to the client to decide, but usually includes jewelry, medical and dental records, personal paperwork, valuables and collectibles. Hazardous material is the tricky category, since it includes a lot of everyday items found in the garage, garden or kitchen. For example, cleaning liquids and pesticides both are considered non-allowable by many companies. Some go so far as to disallow nail polish and batteries.
A binding estimate means that the moving company cannot charge more than the stated amount, though they can lower the final bill if the scope of the job was smaller than expected. A non-binding moving estimate is more likely to wind up costing more than expected, since the movers can increase their rates for unforeseen variables like stairs, “long carry” and materials.
