Percy Priest Elementary School
Percy Priest is an outstanding elementary school! Our daughter is on her fourth year and we continue to be impressed by the staff and administration. The quality of instruction is high and we've always felt that our teachers are keenly aware of our daughter's strengths and weaknesses and get her extra help if needed. The class sizes are about 20. The art and music teachers are amazing. The culture is positive and supportive. The school has extra resources for helping kids with learning differences. The PTO is very active and raises a lot of funds to make the school successful. We feel this public school ranks up there with any private school. They even added recess time this year, which took away the only complaint we had previously.

Head Magnet
Head Middle Magnet school is a wonderful school that provides rigor for middle school children who are interested in moving forward to Martin Luther King Jr. Magnet High School. Every member of the faculty seems to have a pulse on students' individual needs and strengths. In my opinion, the music and science areas are of particular note and have the finest teachers in the state, but so do all other subjects.

Hillwood Comprehensive High School
Most AP honors classes of any zoned school in metro. Great staff that really cares about students. Model Academy status across all academies. Strong community partners and business partners. Facilities are not the best with exception of state of the art library, however they are going to start on renovations or rebuild school in 2017 2018 school year.

Gower Elementary School
This is a GREAT community school. The teachers are so committed to the kids and the school. Faculty attends school functions after school hours and there is a great parent involvement at this school. We are thankful for this school! (I've had 2 go all the way through and have one left. I'm going to be sad when we 'graduate')

Pre-K through 4th grade school. Roughly 750 students. Nice library. Teachers are very friendly and professional. Beautiful school garden. Very active PTO which raises about $75,000 a year. Best public elementary school in Davidson County (Nashville).

Lockeland Elementary School
This elementary school is a jewel in the heart of East Nashville! It is a public school with a private school feel. From the principal, to the teachers, to the staff and maintenance crew, it feels like a family.
