The Home Depot
My recent visits to this Home Depot have convinced me that I might want to drive a little further to go to another HD store that's not as busy. I guess due to location, a lot of contractors are there and many of them park in the loading area, not just to load, but they leave their trucks there while they shop. I couldn't find an employee anywhere the plumbing aisle when I had a question about commodes. When I did finally get one purchased, I had to take it out in the parking lot to load it (see above about loading area). The prices and selection are good, but everything else seems to be difficult at this store.

We gave this Home Depot incredible business for many many years, coming in once a week or so despite the inconsistent treatment. Some employees were nice, but every other visit I could count on some man treating me like an idiot or a devil. One time I was standing in line with several hundred dollars worth of items as usual, and the man glared at me and said, "I believe the gentleman behind you was next." Er, no, he wasn't; even the "gentleman in line," who was very nice, said I was next. I came in for years, head down, minding my own business, just trying to give this place business that helps provide some of these hateful men with their jobs. They'd just like for women like me to drop off the face of the earth, and that ain't going to happen. But they'll be happy to know I now live somewhere where Home Depots have great garden centers and thoughtful workers.

Clean store with lots of knowledgeable staff. You can easily find someone to help you. Easy parking but can get really crowded on weekends.

We have been shopping here for a variety of items. Though the store can be a bit overwhelming in size and collection, we have always been able to find what we needed with the kind help of knowledgeable staff.

Lowe's Home Improvement
The store is fairly well organized, however they don't have a huge amount of selection for each item.
Tips & Advices
Roofers commonly use certain supplies to handle the task of roof repair. A scaffold or a shingle lift is often used to access the roof. Roofers wear hard hats, and they typically wear soft-soled steel-toed shoes that protect their feet and provide optimum traction. Roofers use basic equipment such as caulking guns, paint brushes, electric or cordless drills, wheelbarrows, pop-rivet guns, power brooms, power spudders, shovels, backpack blowers, and high-pressure washers.
Certain supplies are needed when performing a do-it-yourself roof repair project. Working on a roof can be dangerous, and a safety harness with a rope and anchor point is essential equipment if you want to help prevent a fall. You'll also need a ladder, roofing nails, a crowbar, a utility knife, a tape measure, a chalk line, and a hammer.
Algae-resistant roofing shingles are shingles that have been specially built to resist algae growth. A common method for accomplishing this involves including copper granules in the shingles during the manufacturing process. Algae growth can cause unsightly black streaks on your home's roof, and this may lower your property values.
It can take less than a day to put on a new roof, but it could take as long as several days if the roof is large and complex. Weather conditions will also impact the length of time required for this task, and wind, snow, or rain will slow the process.
In general, the average lifespan of a roof is 20 to 25 years. However, the lifespan of your home's roof will be closely linked to the roofing materials used. Roofing made with asphalt shingles can last 15-30 years, and a metal roof may last 30-45 years. A roof made with concrete tile could last 35-50 years.
