CEI Contractors Inc.
This company did some remodel and heating work in our home this winter. The quality of the work and people were superb. Ben Culbertson & Justin Curatola were truly a blessing and very easy to work with. The workers were very personable and ontime. We really enjoyed the whole exsperiance. They were able to work around my schedule so that was really amazing for me being a nurse. There head foreman Jimmy Baird was also a great help through all of this remodel. Always keeping us informed and on time. This is a great christian company. Thank you & Merry Christmas! From all of us at the Duke family , Thank you.

Renewal By Andersen of Nashville
After researching all the window options available today it was clear that the Fibrex wood composite material is the best available. Seeing the 20-year study documented on Renewal by Andersen's website and YouTube video that was conducted on their windows - I do not know any other window that can even come close to achieving these results! After researching additional details about the professionalism of the installation teams and process along with the warranty it is absolutely clear this is the product for my home!!!!

The Wills Company Inc
After working with another handyman company, I finally called The Wills Company. I was hesitant that about calling them because I've always heard they're the most expensive in town. Well, whoever said that was wrong. It didn't strike me as that expensive, and they were prompt and the work was completed quickly (and correctly). The pricing was very transparent (handyman charges this per hour and this is how many hours they were here). Will definitely be calling Wills Company for future handyman jobs.

Enfield Construction & Engineering
When I decided to remodel and add on to my home, I told them what I wanted and they drew the plans up right away and were able to start the work and complete it in a timeley manner. I felt more than comfortable leaving my home while they were there completing the work. They added a bathroom and laundry room as well as major reconstruction in my living area. The work was more than satisfactory and the cost was too! They are a great company to work with.

I had CEI come in and remodel my property I was planning to put on the market in East Nashville, 111 North 9th Street. I could not believe the house when I walked in! The house looked completely new! It is a very old home, so I was worried about losing the historic feel. The guys left just the right amount of the old touches and completely turned the house around. I was sad to see it go. It sold the day I put it on the market! Thanks CEI!

Empire Today
This was so easy. I set an appointment online and with in the day someone called back to confirm availability. They brought out all the samples to me based on my needs, measured went through all options for padding ect. We were able to place the order that day and got our carpet installed with in a couple of weeks. Great product and service. We are very satisfied. Our carpet is almost 3 years old and still looks like new.

Home Services at The Home Depot
We ordered a front storm door installed from this location. It was a little awkward because we had to call the store back when we had not yet heard from a scheduler who would eventually send a local handyperson (many layers in this process). However, the person who showed up was efficient and no complaints about the actual door or installation.

CEI Contractors Inc.
CEI did a tremendous job on all our renovation projects. They have done 4 projects totaling over $400k in renovation projects. All work was done ON BUDGET and ON TIME. Justin and his team were a pleasure to work with. Highly recommended. We are going to use them for our next two ground-up construction projects.

Trace Ventures Inc
Decided to give Trace a try for some handyman projects around the house. They were prompt and professional, but the workmanship wasn't what we expected. In fact, we had to engage with another handyman company to fix something they worked on. Would not recommend.

R Y E Nail Supplies
It's a store with great costumer service. The first time I came I asked for roofing and framing gun nails and they had it all. I really recommended. I also had my air compressor repair the man in the store is great on repairing them as fast as possible.
Tips & Advices
If there is ever a dispute regarding payment over the course of the project, a contractor or subcontractor could place a payment claim, or lien, on your property. To avoid this, ask the contractor to sign a lien release, which is a legal agreement that states that any payment accepted is final. This can come in handy if a contractor has his or her own payment issues with their subcontractors. Signing a lien release form certifies that any payment made by a client to the contractor is enough to pay for any goods or services rendered.
Absolutely ask. Paying too much up front offers the homeowner minimal leverage if the quality of work does not meet expectations or contractual specifications. Try to establish a reasonable pay schedule, such as paying 10 percent of the total cost for each 10 percent of the work that is completed. Include this payment plan in the contract, as well.
Before any money changes hands, there should be a contract to sign. Make sure the specifics of the work and all costs are listed in the contract, including details. If you forget to have something included in the contract after signing it, there's rarely a chance of recourse.
Ask the contractor for proof of their certification before signing anything, as well as their proof of insurance. You should also check your homeowners insurance policy to see if they offer coverage for contracted work. You may want to call your insurance provider and ask for more details on what your plan will and won't cover.
Yes. Plans for how the work site will be cleaned at the end of each day as well as at the conclusion of work need to be put in writing. An experienced general contractor should make every effort to keep the workspace clean and prevent dirtying or damaging any other area. Even so, talk with the contractor about the daily schedule, the logistics of transporting workers and equipment, and how cleanup will be handled.
