Sharpton Painting
We purchased a large 5500 sq ft home in Franklin and it needed allot of work including refinishing the hard wood flooring and completely remolding the kitchen and bathrooms. The biggest part of the job and most important to us, was the repainting of our interior and exterior. The exterior needed many rotten wood areas to be replaced which Sharpton did for us and they also thoroughly prepped our exterior prior to painting. Before Sharpton Painting took our job, Mr. Sharpton took great care to make certain all other contractors were to not interfere with his work. I told him it was of no concern because my wife and I already had planned to make that a sure thing. Having all other contractors work after Sharpton was Complete, or work prior to his work, was number one priority to us and that was also for him. The work Sharpton Painting did for us was the best work I have ever seen, the workers top notch and the professionalism of this group is a prime example of a smooth well oiled machine. Even if your schedule is hectic like ours was take the time to choose Sharpton and make sure his work will not be met with outside interference and you will be given the best service money can buy. Well done Sharpton Painting we are beyond happy!

The House Painters
I called The House Painters about a full interior paint job and I could not be happier with the service I received. Brendon paid incredibly close attention to detail, from the high quality of work he promised to making sure my input was taken into consideration. He was very knowledgeable when it came to helping me choose the appropriate shade of white based on other aesthetic elements in the house (not all shades of white paint are equal!) His workers are efficient, respectful, and to my shock, left no trace that they had been there, other than glorious clean, white walls. I'll definitely be looking to work with The House Painters this fall for my exterior!

Sharpton Painting
Sharpton Painting worked for us last year and again last week. The team here is always professional and hard working. Kevin Sharpton the owner, comes by everyday to inspect work and make sure his people have everything they need to get the job done. Good boss and good company.

Sharpton Painting
Wonderful job guys. My wife and I hired Sharpton Painting and Kevin Sharpton was very professional and prompt to help us. He was absolutely zero pressure during our proposal and we just felt comfortable. The painting was done by only one painter but Kevin stopped in each day to inspect the work. The painter Kyle was very professional and courteous. We highly recommend.

Sharpton Painting
I was already familiar with the kind of people here at this company. I met Kevin and his painters while they were working on my neighbor's house a few years back and just like they gave my neighbor I also got great service. Their work is very clean and skilled and the painters very professional.

The Dutch Touch Painting
Totally unprofessional company and waste of time. I don't recommend this business.I called the company to get an estimate for exterior and interior painting job in my house in Brentwood. They gave me an appointment after a week. The person did not show up for the meeting in my house as scheduled, nor did he call to apologize. I called back and another appointment was scheduled. The person came the second time, did the measurements and told me he would email me the estimate. Two weeks passed and I still didn't get the estimate despite of me calling several times to ask for the estimate. Finally, the last time I called to inquire about the estimate, James Ramsey, the manager of Nashville office, informed me in nonchalant manner that they were too busy to do the job!! I was surprised to hear that from him after wasting one month of my time! When I told him that they should have told me that in the first place rather than make me wait one month in which I could have someone else do the job, in an utter disregard of customers, he just hang up.Very unprofessional and untrustworthy business!

Sharpton Painting
I wanted to share my experience with this company to the BBB and other consumers. Mr. Sharpton came out to provide a free estimate for our project and was very knowledgable. I could tell he has done thousands of jobs, as his website had suggested, because he was very kindly finishing my sentences in many conversations and took quickly to my vision of what we wanted. His workers very very hard working. They took quick lunches 10 or 15 mins and was right back to it. The workers stayed at our home 8 hours a day for 8 business days and completed a large exterior repaint. Again, I was very impressed with Mr, Sharpton's workers, his experience and professionalisms.
Tips & Advices
For a long-lasting paint job, a clean wall is crucial. Ask how they plan to clean your walls, if at all, before getting started. A high-quality company will thoroughly prepare a wall so that the paint will lay smoothly and last a long time.
Yes. A well-established company will have more experience and likely more references for you to reach out to than a new company that's just getting off the ground. Be sure to ask for references so you can speak to former customers about their experience working with the painter. When speaking to these people, ask about:
  • Whether they had issues with the crew
  • If the painters were messy or neat
  • How the paint has held up since the project was completed
The quality of the paint will affect how good the walls look when the project is completed. If your contractor says they plan on using a paint you don't like, feel free to request an alternative.
If the contractor makes a point to train new hires on safety techniques as well as quality standards on the job, you're probably in good hands.
Unfortunately, there are plenty of cases where a painter has stolen items from a home or caused damage to the house or injury to the homeowner. Subcontractors may not be as skilled as employees, and the contractor you're hiring may not have much experience working with them, making them more of a risk. Additionally, ask if the painters are employees or subcontractors, and what the screening or hiring process is like.

Just a moment...
