Boost FitClub
The old facility was nice and the location was GREAT. Personally, I don't care much for socializing at the gym. Everyone was very good about respecting my privacy, but I also got the impression that it was a very warm and friendly environment. I like this over the aggressive tones that I sometimes get from other gyms (maybe I'm paranoid). In the fall of 2013, Boost announced a move and MASSIVE facility upgrade. I saw the plans and new that this was going to be very nice. I immediately renewed my contract for the next 2 years to lock in my rate. I moved to the new facility and have been enjoying watching everything come together as I work out.Sadly, I was informed in early March 2014 that my job would be sending me out of town for the next 10-12 months. I remembered checking out the Boost reviews and DREADED trying to close my contract. Technically, I am not changing addresses (I'll be living out of hotels) and I know that it is not permanent. I read the agreement and I did not feel like I had good argument other than it was a special situation. I started the cancellation process online and tried to make sure that my situation was understood. I wanted to make sure that I was polite and understanding in the fairness of the situation for both parties. The GOOD: Joey and Jon took great care of me. As soon as I got them all of the facts and had a face-to-face, the problem was solved. I am not happy to be leaving MY GYM, but I am happy that they made the situation much easier. The BAD: It was a bit difficult to get ahold of Joey to start (I did not start by putting in my 30day online notice). Obviously, it was during their huge renovation AND during the spring membership/renewal rush. The day that I had my face-to-face, I watched him take back-to-back appointments for a good 90 minutes during my workout before I approached him. It is a small business going through a busy time, no big deal. Conclusion: This place is great and the other reviews support that (unless you plan on dropping your contract). I feel like I would have been writing a very different review if I hadn't been polite. I had a contract with Boost that I had to break. I pleaded my case and asked for understanding. Because of that, I am leaving on good terms and can't wait to come back.

Viner, Daniel D, MD
Like many former athletes, I suffered broken noses as a result from competition. For years I struggled with limited breathing capacity through my nose and subsequent sinus infections. Although I adapted as best I could, I was always aware of the severe breathing limitations. Finally the nasal obstruction was beginning to have adverse effects on other areas of my health. That's when I sought help. It's hard to describe how much of a positive difference finding Dr. Viner has been for me. He is board certified and current with all of the amazing advances in modern ENT procedures. From the beginning he listened to my concerns and systematically described how each could be addressed and remedied. After a complete and thorough examination, he "game planned" the procedure for my situation. Nearly every friend cautioned me how "bad" the surgery would be. Fortunately, they were wrong! I've had multiple knee surgeries, broken limbs and a host of other injuries. I know pain, but this was different. Quite honestly, I cannot envision a better outcome than I experienced! I can only attribute that to God and his instrument, Dr. Daniel Viner. It was surgery but NOTHING like the horror story predicted by so many. In a day where patients are skeptical of medical care providers, it was reaffirming to be treated by such a caring and professional staff. My outcome is changing my life! I can breathe freely. My blood pressure has dropped. My snoring is all but eliminated. In the words of my doctor, "It's been a game changer." When the final sutures were removed, I cried. But it wasn't tears of pain; it was like breathing for the very first time. Thank you Dr. Viner! I am grateful for your expertise.

Fit Factory Nashville
I've been going about 3 years to Fot Factory Nashville. They have convenient class times and the space in conducive to an variety of workouts. That variety is one of the biggest reasons I continue with them. Each workout lasts 45-60 minutes, including warm up and cool down. FFN reminds you that working out can be tough, but efficient, if you follow a few core practices. Reduce the down time--each person can maximize his or her level within each workout--and push and pull heavy things for a long time with little rest will make you sweat, increase your heart rate, and push you to find new limits. High Intensity Interval Training is what I think the kids are calling it these days. Unlike crossfire boxes where workouts can be segmented and it can be a challenge for folks of different levels, at FFN, Workouts tend to be have a time component and the entire class is devoted to completing that circuit. Common tools are kettle bells and dumb bells for weights (Plates are used for sled drives and a few other exercises, but barbells are rarely employed), lots of pull ups, push-ups, squats and lunges, which if you're doing right, body weight does the trick! Overall, it's a good place. Owners are very personable and welcoming. They emphasize community, but with a family of my own, it's tough to make the potlucks and happy hours work with my schedule, but it's a nice thing to have. With a full time job, a family, and graduate school, it's one less thing to worry about, the workout will be prepared and it will be as challenging as I need it to be, every day, Monday through Saturday.

Shed Fitness
The front desk staff was welcoming and helpful. The atmosphere in the front room mimics trendy gyms like Hot Yoga Plus and The Dailey Method with bottled water and athletic clothing for sale. So I found myself cursing under my breath when I walked into the workout room and was suddenly in a myself in the middle of an "edgy" atmosphere with loud music playing. The trainer must have sensed my fear because I was immediately told not to worry. You will get an amazing workout here and plenty of attention from the instructor. They are encouraging but not pushy or in your face. You WILL get a serious workout! For those that are curious the workouts are usually station based. It seems to be strength based but there is a strong cardio element as well. In short, the staff and facilities are wonderful and the workout will definitely make the best use of your gym time. If you're on the fence about at least trying them out, I highly encourage you to try a class!

Davis Holistic Chiropractic Center
As an active college student, with a hectic schedule, Dr. Davis relieved stress and pain in my neck, shoulder, and back, which I had been visiting my hometown doctor for years to correct. The first consultation revealed his unique method of targeting different parts of the body, to correct other parts and strengthen muscles that are weak. During the first visit, one of the muscles he corrected with my triceps. At my next Pilates class, I could tell my triceps were stronger! Each visit, he checks if these corrections stayed, and with me, my body was very accepting of his corrections and I felt great. Within three visits, my regular pains were no longer an issue. Dr. Davis and I also discussed my diet, being I am a gluten-free vegan, he gave me some supplements to help keep my body healthy. I regularly take these and my body has responded very positively to these! Definitely a doctor for anyone wanting to rid of their pain and become healthier overall!

Davis Holistic Chiropractic Center
I found Dr. Davis when I was experiencing some health challenges and was looking for an alternative to conventional medicine. After just my first appointment with him I felt an ease in my body I haven’t had for years. By clearing physical and emotional trauma, the chiropractic adjustments he performed (using a variety of techniques) have had a powerful lasting effect, allowing me to go completely off a medication I’ve been on for years. I’ve also benefitted from the other treatments he offers, including counseling on nutrition and supplements, FlorAlive uncut flower essences, and ion foot baths. It’s such a refreshing change to really address the root of my health issues, rather than just treating the symptoms. It is also a really lovely office to visit, as opposed to a regular doctor visit. I feel totally cared for by Dr. Davis and his wonderful assistant and am so grateful I found him!

Jamieson Robert C Md
I met Dr. Jamieson about 20 years ago. I went to him for a second opinion as my case was a particularly rare and difficult one for my current psychiatrist to handle. Dr. Jamieson assured me I was getting the best of care, and he offered to further help me in any way possible. Then 5 years later when my psychiatrist of 10 years was leaving private practice to become a hospital doctor, Dr, Jamieson gladly took my case. Some 14 years later, he is still working with me. His extensive knowledge of pharmacology and mental illness have assisted me in getting the best possible care. He has told me that I am his most challenging case. Nonetheless, he now sees me every one to six weeks before 7:00am such that I will not have to exhibit great anxiety due to a particularly large waiting room.As such, I recommend Dr. Robert Jamieson, Ph.D., M.D. to anyone seeking help with their mental illesss.

Isaac Spine Joint and Pain Institute
I saw angela at issac.. She was very thorough with my consultation and wanted to help. I was hit by a semi truck and had steal rods in each of my shins and screws in my knee. They do ask alot of questions to make sure your not an addict as do all other pain clinics. My record shows that i was on suboxone so all the other PC clinics would not see me but this place did. The area is pretty ghetto so most of their patients are opiate seeking addicts whom are very rude to the staff. I think most of the bad reviews are just people who tried to get strong pills and were denied. I am very thankful that this place is willing to help.if you are in legitimate pain this place will help you. Just abide by their rules

Elite Healthcare Alliance
Been going to Elite for years now! These people genuinely care. The lady that owns it, Darlene - that's why she opened a pain clinic. So few care these days. They're super professional - this is no pill clinic - but if you are legitimately in pain, this clinic will go above and beyond to help. Now you may have to wait - they're not the fastest for appointments! Me I'll take it - I was actually getting used to extremely rude pain professionals. Including those who "don't give narcotics for pain"!! Not sure what cracker jack box those folks got a medical degree from - but Elite was and is the answer to a prayer. Getting shots in my shoulder, starting physical therapy - and NOT IN PAIN!
Tips & Advices
This depends on the facility. Patients should call to find out if they'll need a referral from their physician prior to making an appointment.
Aside from hyperbaric oxygen treatment, most wound care centers offer:
  • Debridement: The removal of dead skin and tissue surrounding the wound. This can be done surgically, using a whirlpool bath, syringes, enzymes that dissolve the tissue, or wet dressings that dry on the wound and absorb the dead tissue.
  • Dressing: Wrapping the wound in a protective film, gauze, gel, or foam.
  • Compression stockings: Tight-fitted fabric sheaths that encourage blood flow.
  • Artificial skin: A covering that is applied to the wound for several days as it heals.
  • Ultrasound: The use of sound waves to promote healing.
  • Growth factor therapy: The use of materials naturally produced by the body to encourage quick cell growth.
  • Negative pressure therapy: Creating a vacuum around a wound to encourage faster blood flow to the area.
Depending on where the treatment is administered, hyperbaric oxygen treatment  can cost $100- $1,000. After insurance is applied, patients may have a copay of $10 -$50 or a coinsurance fee of 10 percent to 50 percent.
Most wounds should heal within two to six weeks. An individual should seek chronic wound treatment if a wound has not begun to heal after two weeks or is not completely healed after six.
Most health insurance plans cover wound care. Patients should check with the clinic and their health insurance provider before seeking treatment to be sure.
