YP - The Real Yellow PagesSM - helps you find the right local businesses to meet your specific needs. Search results are sorted by a combination of factors to give you a set of choices in response to your search criteria. These factors are similar to those you might use to determine which business to select from a local Yellow Pages directory, including proximity to where you are searching, expertise in the specific services or products you need, and comprehensive business information to help evaluate a business's suitability for you. “Preferred” listings, or those with featured website buttons, indicate YP advertisers who directly provide information about their businesses to help consumers make more informed buying decisions. YP advertisers receive higher placement in the default ordering of search results and may appear in sponsored listings on the top, side, or bottom of the search results page.

I worked there throughout high school and a little bit after I went to college. I will always love this place. The food in genuine and delicious. You get what you pay for. Needles to say a terrific meal. Nothing fancy. But terrific. Better than anything you will find in that town. The drinks are premium beverages made to order and made authentic. You want a real cup of coffee or the best latte for you early morning of shopping, then try the daily grind. And if you love the coffee you're drinking you can buy some and take it back home with you. Honestly is a unique experience you can't and won't find anywhere else. Sure they might be strict on there rules but they are in place for safety. And personally it's there buisness, they own it and have made it what it is today. It's a proud establishment and I have learned a lot of life lessons from them and that place that I still hold true today.
5.Big Wood Pizza Co

I'm just going to say it: Big Woods has the best pizza on the entire planet! Eat your heart out, Mother Bears! Okay, maybe I'm just a little bit prejudiced because I grew up in Brown County. But I don't think so. I think it really is the best. And that beer board sampler: Off the charts! Next time you're in Nashville, you should give the place a try.

Not enough space to give all the details, but suffice it to say that our meal was a disaster. Sweet cooled cream butter came after bread had been served AND refilled. Waitress did not know the menu or the wine list. She didn't know what was in ""roasted root"" side dish and didn't bother to find out; she told us the soup was a creamed vegetable ~ but it was actually a cold puree (surprise!). Three of the lamb dinners (even the one that was ordered medium-rare) and the child's burger were burned/charred; they told us they had a ""new grill."" Disappointing substitutions were made on our meals in the kitchen without asking our aproval. One steak way under-done, one over-done and had to be sent back. (And please believe me, we aren't a picky group.) To top it off, waitress spilled a drink on my dinner plate right after serving my lamb ~ my entire meal had to be recooked, and I was served after rest of the party finished eating. When my meal finally did arrive at the table, it was so under-done that I just took it home and finished cooking it in the micro-wave. To add insult to injury, we were charged for an item we did not order ~ and the gratuity (over $75.00 for poor service) was automatically addded to bill. We were there to celebrate my parents 50th wedding anniversary, and we were all disappointed and angry. As we left, we were surprised to learn that the manager had not been informed of all the errors and problems with our food and service. Manager was told about the fiasco; no adjustments were made to the food bill (which was in excess of $450.00.) He did send one of the couples home with two bottles of wine. \r \r While the location is charming (in a hole-in-the-wall kind of way,) the service was frustrating (at best) and the food ~ while it sounds promising on the menu ~ WAS VERY DISAPPOINTING. \r \r My suggestion would be to skip the Horror-Story Inn and eat at the Abe Martin Lodge in the Brown County State Park.\r \r \r \r \r \r \r

If we go to Nashville and don't eat here, it's because the wait might be too long. The food is excellent, the service impeccable, nice surroundings, great location - I cannot say enough good things about it!
15.Muddy Boots Cafe
136 N Van Buren St
My girlfriend and I went to Brown County for the day, and wanted a nice place to eat. We chose the muddy boots cafe based on good reviews from the visitor center. We first ordered hot chocolate and water. The water took about 5 minutes to get to us, and the hot chocolate took about 10, at this point the server hadn't even taken our order (keep in mind this is a very small restaurant, and there wernt many people. My girlfriend ordered a rice dish that wasn't very good, and I ordered the "big damn sandwhich" but received the grilled cheese. When I alerted the server he told me he could get me the right sandwich but it would take about 10 minutes. I had already waited so long that I just ate the grilled cheese. When we went to pay he was sorry about the mix-up, but our bill was $20 dollars, and we only ordered $17 dollars worth of food, and tax should not have $3 dollars on $17. He assured me it was tax, but it seemed a little steep. We paid anyway, and booked it outa there. Food was sub-par and service wasn't great. I would recommend checking out some other restaurants.
61 S Van Buren St
Went there yesterday with my daughter for lunch since there was an hour-long wait at the Artist's Colony. The food was fairly good but upgrade to fries instead of a bag of chips with lunch cost us nearly $4 total and there weren't many fries at all. The sandwiches were good but a total bill of 27+ and then a tip was a rather expensive lunch for just fairly good sandwiches and a few fries. We won't be back.
