Frankie & Johnnie's Garage
I was so damn pleased with this Garage. I rarely review on Google but here goes nothing. I was having trouble with what I thought was an Oil pressure problem. I was referred by a close friend of my family. It turned out it was not an Oil problem but, a Fuel module problem. This was way less expensive than an Oil problem. Frank could have charged me way more than what he did. I was relieved that he diagnosed my ghost problem. Only a truly skilled mechanic could. I am about 45 min away from this garage & have found my FOREVER MECHANICS here. Frank got me an appointment quick, took the time consuming task of figuring out the problem, fixing the problem & returning my truck to me with in 3 working days. Frank even took the time to call me 3 days later and follow up on how my vehicle was performing. MY TRUCK HAS NEVER RUN BETTER. For about 8 years it had a bit of a shimmy. I thought I would have to get the entire rear end rebuilt to fix the problem. Not anymore!!!!!! My truck was starving for fuel. That's why it was trembling FOR 8 YEARS. I know its a major PITA (pain in the a**) when your vehicle fails you. YOU WILL NEVER GO TO ANOTHER (r they gonna rob me) GARAGE AGAIN!!!!! Trust me on this. Who would have guessed FRANKIE & JOHNNIE'S found the holy grail in customer satisfaction. Simply by being the craftsman mechanics that they are & not over charging you. Even following up. I could go on & on but I think I've made my point. P.S. I'm going to take it back for a tune-up in the near future.

Automeister Inc
All I can say is, "thank god for Bernie"!!! He was able to figure out what was wrong with my BMW M3 where another highly rated shop could not. Bernie was persistent in his research to uncover the issue not only relying on a machine other places, including BMW dealer uses to hook up your car to tell them what needs to be fixed. Honestly, I think those machines are "fixed"!! As long as I live in the area and own my M3, Automeister will be the only place I take my BMW. Oh, BTW that first repair shop I took my car to....charged me over $1600 to "fix" the problem and the day after I got my car back, the same problem was there. Needless to say, I stopped payment. These guys couldn't figure out the issue because the machine told them nothing was wrong. Again, I will stick with human knowledge along with perseverance and pride in workmanship any day. Thank you Bernie for taking care of us.Gina & Paul

My Wifes Mechanic Inc
I needed to get brakes done on my car. I called after hours and Mike called me back the next day, even though I didn't leave a voicemail. I explained what I needed and we set up an appointment. He has a lot of knowledge about cars. He was willing to explain and answers all of my questions. He did a great job. I would recommend Mike to any of my friends and family. When I need additional work done on my car, My Wife's Mechanic will be the first place I call. The price was cheaper than other estimates I got, too.

Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
