We stopped in on a Friday afternoon for lunch, no reservation. We were promptly seated outside overlooking vineyards and mountains and a beautiful garden that it appeared was used to make many of their dishes fresher than fresh! The appetizer we chose was a goat cheese and olive tapenade dish served with small toasted bread... SO good! My boyfriend had a lamb sandwich and I had a chicken dish that were both to die for. The server was attentive, but not overly so, and added to our pleasant experience. We shared a sorbet dessert with fresh berries, again, amazing. Brix is a must-go-to when in Napa Valley. Next time, we're going to have some wine!

Everytime I visit Allegria I find one more thing worth loving. Their daily specials enhance their already great French cuisine, and I really enjoythe wonderful wine list. The offer great wines by the glass and bottle at affordable prices. I would especially recommend their dessert. I am always full when I'm done with the main course and still order dessert. Allegria is by no mean ""bargain"" dining, but it is great food, service, atmosphere paired with a reasonable price.

We tried a variety of dishes. Though none of them were bad, the BBQ dishes weren't good enough to order twice. (Though we have friends that love them.) The grilled cheese that we ordered for the kids was so good that we've gone back several times just for that. The service is very friendly and the food quality has been consistent. I would recommend it without hesitation.

My family and many friends are frequent diners at Don Perico's. They make the BEST fajitas in town. The chicken and shrimp are the best. The one time I tried the beef, it was a little tough; but the flavor can't be beat. They have economical lunch specials Mon.-Fri. and a lot of local people enjoy lunches there. They have made many improvements in the decor in the past year and the atmosphere is much more cozy and pleasing to the eye. The service is excellent also and many of the regular serving staff have been there a long time. We highly recommend them.

OMG...I think we had just stumbled onto the biggest culinary secret of Napa, CA. My husband and were in Napa for our mini-honeymoom! We asked the concierge at our B&B for recommendations for restaurants with prix-fixe meals and asked if they could help us get reservations at French Laundry. Of course, this was impossible so they told us about Budo and the great food they served. What a great recommendation! We totally loved it! We ordered the 16 course meal and ...wow...what a meal! The service was wonderful and the food was just to die for! Every course was well thought out and perfect! Not too much and not too little! It was a 3 hour affair and worth every minute! We're just sorry that Budo is no longer there...

The Celadon staff was excellent during the entire evening. The atmosphere was fun and enjoyable for our party of six. The food and drinks were above average. I would recommend this restaurant for both small intimate dinners and for larger parties. The only complaint I had was making the initial reservation and the constant calls to confirm our reservation. Celdaon staff called at least 6 times in two days to confirm our reservation. On one instance, two confirmation calls came wihtin two minutes of each other by two separate Celadon staff members. Other than the constant confirmation, I would say Celadon is one of the best in Napa. \r \r Celadon's sister restaurant, Coles Chop House, is one to avoid. It is the worst experience ever--see Coles review.

Love this place! I have tried pretty much everything on the menu and cannot complain about anything. I have a lot of favorites, but some of the best ones are... Pan roasted brussel sprouts with bacon - yumminess, you must get this one! Shaved artichoke-portebello salad - very refreshing and light. Boquerones - I like this plate even though I don't particularly care for anchovies. Flat-iron steak - very juicy and tender. Lamb burger - great! This is a must try place when you are in napa!

17.Napa General Store
540 Main St
I've wanted to try this place since I drove up Soscol and saw the cheery gardens and cool umbrellas waving to me from across the Napa River. \r \r I love this newly revived section of downtown Napa anchored by the cozy Napa River Inn. Unfortunately, the Napa General Store is not going to be my new favorite outdoor waterfront lunch hang out and I really wanted it to be!\r \r The storefront is adorable and would be a great place to buy cute foodie gifts or wine country tchotchke, but we were hungry and wanted to sit outside and enjoy the beautiful day and a great glass of wine. The restaurant inside was empty so we walked out onto the patio to find someone to seat us where we were literally chastised by a waitress who told us we needed to see the hostess at the front. We informed her that we didn't see a hostess or hostess stand inside and she told us we should have waited until someone turned up. Ummmm, rude. But ok, our bad. So we walked back in where there was still no one to be found and waited.\r \r I think the man that ended up seating us was either the manager or the owner because he seemed embarrassed that there was no one there to seat us. He finally escorted us to a corner table with one of those cheery green umbrellas in the corner of the patio where we were surrounded by palm trees, gorgeous red rhododendron and verdant creeping vines that gave a feeling of seclusion while still allowing a peek at the river and the occasional cool breeze.\r \r It took at least 5 minutes for our waitress to approach us and take drink orders. It took another 10 minutes for those drinks to come out and it was a pretty easy order. One glass of chardonnay, 2 waters and a sprite. We got our drinks but our waitress asked us if we could wait to order so she could tend to her other table and when she finally returned 10 minutes later we finally ordered. We ordered a cheese pizza for my girls to split and my mom and I both ordered a salad. 20 minutes later we received our food. We'd been there 40 minutes already and the girls had pretty much stuffed themselves on the free bread and butter that was put on the table. \r \r The pizza had a lovely thin crust but not the mix of cheeses that allows a really good pizza to bind. The cheese pulled right off the pizza and was tough to bite through so that you ended up with one large piece of cheese in your mouth and then bare crust with sauce to finish.\r \r I asked to have my Chinese Chicken Salad delivered with the dressing on the side, and to their credit they did deliver dressing on the side but they also delivered it on the salad. I didn't say I would like EXTRA dressing on the side. By this time I was too afraid to return for fear of not getting to eat until dinnertime so I tried to eat it, but the thin rectangular strips of chicken were grayish in color and the first piece I picked up had fat and gristle attached. \r \r My mom ordered the Chopped Chicken Salad which had large cubes of chicken and large pieces of tomato and a really weak, watery dressing. Neither dish was appealing to look at and while my mom said her's tasted good, mine was inedible. It took us 20 more minutes to finally get our check and head out.\r \r I'm bummed because it is the nicest patio in Napa other than Cafe Angele next door and I would have loved to have a more casual venue to go and sit and enjoy a nice outdoor lunch. Usually I would give a place with this nice of an ambience a second chance, but the service and food were so poor that I had to revoke their second chance card.

Noodles with nothing on them,I swear no sprouts no nothing,,Talk about a cheap place..The potstickers were raw.One eggroll, what is up with this chinese takeout place. How are they still in business..I always thought the days passed for a grade C restaurant like this is in existance.....And its filthy..WTF.This place should not be in operation.... I hate the fact that my husband paid 16 dollars for this crap my dog wouldn't even eat.. The Hunan is in the factory store outlets. It is the only restaurant there..I am assuming people are starving there so the Hunan is their last hope..So sad that a restaurant like this should have consumers at their mercy at the factory stores in Napa..So unfair..

We were looking for some good Mexican food and decided to order take out. The salsa tasted like ketchup. The rest of the food was less than mediocre. We actually ended up throwing it out and cooking another dinner at home. The best thing I can say is that the chips were cooked, not bagged. The rest of the meal tasted like it came from a can.

I don't know whether you would list this place. It is a take-away (but very useful when we wanted to save cash on holiday and eat in our hotel). The people there could not be more helpful. They re-opened just to serve us, so we wanted to return the favour and get them better known. Delightful Italian owner who has been there since 1961.
