I took my three year old Bella here for her first anesthesia free dental cleaning. I wasn't sure if she'd be a good candidate- she doesn't even let me brush her teeth at home. Her procedure took about an hour and a half, and I waited on stand by just in case. Much to my surprise she patiently sat through it, and appeared to be in no discomfort or distress of any kind. The results are fantastic, and worth the first time visit of $175. My Vet wanted Bella to have a fecal test, liver enzyme test amongst other lab work to see if it would be safe to put her under for a teeth cleaning. Unfortunately I don't have an $800 budget just to get her teeth cleaned and then worry about if she'd pull through being put under. I've heard way too many stories about otherwise healthy dogs dying under anesthesia just for a teeth cleaning. No thanks. We will be going back every six months for a much discounted price of $65. My kind of place...def two thumbs up! One more thing I'd like to ad..this place is impeccably clean and sanitary, something you don't see often at the groomers!

Tamroc Kennels
We moved to the area about a year ago and we have had to leave our fur babies while we returned to either visit family or get the rest of our belongings. I reviewed and visited Tamroc before I left our 2 babies with them. The staff was super friendly when we just "popped" in for a visit (we decided to do this so we could see how the kennel was truely ran instead of calling ahead) I was impressed so we tried a 1 night stay with our dogs (one is a small chihahua and the other is a boxador). You have to understand our big dog is a wild child with no manners. The staff was so nice to us and didn't even get rude when I called to check on them 2 times after we left. We have since left them here a few other times and they will be doing a week next month! I would recommend this place to anyone that needs a great kennel!!

Since having moved here, we've tried several factory-style grooming salons that we were not impressed with. Colleagues at work all take their dogs to Trimmers, so we gave it a shot. To our surprise, this place is top-notch! Jennifer uses homeopathic remedies and creates customized treatments per your pet's ailments. Our Bulldog, Worthington, suffers from allergies, licking, scratching and biting. After he got his customized anti-itch soak, all of his ailments have ceased! Finally, a groomer who focuses on health issues and treats them, naturally. We are so glad we found her. This has saved us on more vet bills. Good groomers earn great tips, and worth every bit of it. Thanks again! Worthington thanks you as well! Our next visit we will be trying your deshed, it sounds great too!

The Groomer
Ok 1st thing is first.... the groomer does not let client dogs run around they are in a kennel. The only dogs that run around loose is the owners dogs there are 2. As far as customer service not sure who they spoke to . Tina the owner says it like it is . If ur pet don't like other dogs no problem we can cut nails up front or we can put her dogs in a kennel. No problem. I've been working with tina for 10 years. We try to please and acomidate everone. If you are unhappy well people we can not read minds u have got to say something . I just wanted to correct the person that says we let all dogs run around . Thanks

My Husband Joe and I just moved to Myrtle Beach from Hartford, CT. We needed to find a good groomer for our Bichon, Lil' Joey. Jennifer, the owner of Trimmers Pet Grooming came highly recommended from several of our neighbors. She did an amazing job, as a matter of fact, it's the best groom Lil' Joey has ever had. I've never felt his coat so soft before. He looks so white and clean just like a brand new puppy. She even treated him to little extras like paw cream and brushed his teeth. He left her shop sporting a boy version of doggie about the works.

The Pet Spa Of Myrtle Beach
We live in the Carolina Forest area & have been getting both my jack Russell & maltipoo groomed here for almost 2 years. The previous owner Helen & new owner Kristen have always been super nice & truly care for animals. If you want your fur babies groomed a certain way, look no further you've found the place. Before passing judgement on 1 other review , please get the full story & notice all of the 5 star reviewsKristen & her staff are wonderful people. I will continue to do business with her.

My husband has a 4 year old Schnoodle that was in dire need of help! Kippy doesn't like us grooming him & hubby doesn't like him clipped. However, Rikki did a fabulous clip job & hubby was SO pleased! Now Kippy looks handsome & no longer like a neglected stray! Price was reasonable. Can't say enough good things! My only regret is that we were traveling through & will probably not be back to Myrtle Beach. Thank you, Rikki, and may God continue to bless you & your business. Pam.

The Groomer
My 15 yr old Maltese is a pretty anxious nervous guy! His hearing is about gone and eyesight isn't so great. I used PetSmart Groomers a few times and never was really very satisfied. I tried The Groomer on 707 in Surfside and he loved it! They cleaned him exactly how I asked and he was really feeling good with his new look! Later that same night he slept like a baby :) I will definitely be back, they are awesome!! Thanks girls!!

The Pet Spa Of Myrtle Beach
For the person who left the last review, Helen no longer owns the Pet Spa and the lady that had your dog in her care also no longer works there. The Pet Spa is a wonderful place with very sweet employees and a new amazing owner who is now there every day to see what goes on there. I understand your frustration but please take it up with Helen if she told you she was going to make it right. Thanks.

The Pet Spa Of Myrtle Beach
Took our newly acquired puppy to the Pet Spa to be groomed as we felt he had not been taken care of properly by his previous owners. Josselyn did a amazing job on him. Personable, Polite, Caring describes the atmosphere here. The Pet Spa is the place for all your grooming needs. They have made a new customer out of me and I am thankful for finding them. Great job Josselyn....
Tips & Advices
Some pet groomers have viewing areas where owners can sit and watch their pets being treated. Most prevent owners from being in the same room as the pet, however, as the owner's presence might cause the pet to become too excited.
Pets that cannot interact with strangers do not make good professional grooming candidates. Sometimes medication can help, but some groomers don't take animals that have been sedated. If a pet becomes too unruly, a groomer may end the session entirely.
It's best to fully vaccinate pets before bringing them to their first grooming appointment. Dogs should receive the DA2PPC vaccine, which stands for canine distemper, canine andenovirus type 2, canine parvovirus, and parainfluenza. It's also a good idea to vaccinate dogs against Bordedatella (aka “kennel cough”). In fact, New York City requires dogs receive both DAPP and Bordetella shots. Cats, meanwhile, should get the FVRCP vaccine: feline viral rhinotracheitis, calicivirus infection, and panleukopenia. In addition, all pets should be up to date on their rabies shots. Owners should wait at least 24 hours after getting their pet vaccinated before bringing it to the groomers.
Technically, there is no such thing as a pet that is too old for a professional groomer. In fact, older pets with joint or mobility issues often can't groom themselves and need someone else to clean them. However, pets that are blind, deaf, or have serious medical issues might not do well at a groomer, especially if the person is inexperienced. Owners should feel free to ask potential groomers about their understanding of elderly pet issues. Often, older pets will exhibit puppy-like behavior and squirm or yelp during grooming. Alternatively, they might not be able to stand for long periods of time. As such, grooming an older pet usually takes more time than grooming a young one.
Puppies and kittens should be at least 10 weeks old before their first professional grooming session. They should be used to being gently handled by strangers and comfortable being separated from their owners for a few hours at a time.
