Savitsky Roof Solutions
I engaged Savitsky Roof Solutions (SRS) on 10 October 2012 to redo the roof on my 2-story townhouse on North Oak Street, Myrtle Beach. I attempted negociations with other owners of the common portions of the roof to share the contract; SRS was very patient and accomodating with multiple estimates, according to the unfortunately changing number of paticipants. Eventually, I and my neighbor engaged him. Estimate was accurate and honored. SRS used Titanium UDL underlayment, and shingles exceeding local code , “Miami-Dade County approved”, (think frequent hurricanes), with uplift resistance “H”. Old roof removal/disposal was neat, and careful of surroundings. New installation was rapid, attentive, and attractive, in spite of extreme heat conditions on the roof. Workers were friendly and courteous. In the 2+ years since installation, there have been no problems of any kind. I am fully satisfied and would recommend Savitsky Roof Solutions in complete confidence.

Tips & Advices
The most common types of roofing material are:
  • Asphalt shingles
  • Metal roofing
  • Slate shingles
  • Concrete roofing
Metal roofing material and algae-resistant asphalt shingles are the appropriate roofing material for rainy climates.
Houses located in  areas which are prone to wildfires, should avoid the use of flammable roofing materials such as wood shingles.
Not only should you ask to get in contact with past clients, it is also recommended that  homeowners visit projects currently underway to see how the contractor or company actually performs during a job. You can also go online and check out other customer reviews.
Reputable roofers do offer a warranty against poor workmanship. Additionally, the material used often carries a warranty from the manufacturer against defects (assuming proper installation). It is the homeowner’s responsibility to check on the availability of all such warranties before any work is performed.
