We went back to Shoneys on our last day. The place was cleaner than our last time there. Our waitress stopped at our table, took our drink order, and that was the last we saw of her. Our previous waitress, Wendy, noticed us sitting there, came to our rescue. We think she was on her way out( had her purse in her hand when she saw us) Two other waitresses said I have them, but she was the only one there. She took care of the people on the other end as well. I dont know what they pay her, but she deserves a raise.
My daughter and I visited this location this evening, there was enough hair on my daughter's steak and cheese sandwich that a strand landed on the table. Unfortunately, after careful observation, we realized their was more hair on her sandwich. Instead of an apology, the Manager/Owner graced us with his presence, with a condescending attitude to inform us that these things happen because he has humans cooking the food. NO SH*t Sherlock. That's not how we roll in North Carolina! As business owners, we realize that without satisfied customers, we would not have a successful business. Food was pricey and added 15% gratuity for 2 people is ridiculous. No compensation for our inconvenience was offered and that is your right. HOWEVER, Mr. Owner/Manager, You might want to treat your customers with a little more respect. I've got Social Media and the First Amendment on my side! You just won some Free Advertisement!! And the only reason, I gave 2 stars is because the waitress was so polite.
