I stopped in on lunch break a few days ago with a broken tooth and the promise that it wouldn't take long. After waiting for 45 minutes beyond my appointment time I rescheduled for today. The first step was an x-ray on the broken tooth, the assistant was getting aggravated with me as the film was cutting into the roof of my mouth and kept slipping. After numerous tries she got an image, but was furious that she had to do it again as she didn't get the entire root in the image. Another assistant showed her that it was fine. The dentist came in, rudely told me to open my mouth, looked for maybe 2 seconds, turned to the assistant and said, "Set up."The office manager came in and informed me that they were going to do two extractions and that I would have a co-pay. I'm desperate, I'm hurting, get them out! Without question I signed the paperwork and the office manager put his hand out and said, "I'll collect the co-pay now."I'm not sure where he thought I might be hiding my money, but in the moment I asked that I be able to do pay as I leave because my wallet was in the waiting room with my daughter. He spun on his foot as if I had ruined his day.The dentist came in and numbed me up, it took everything in me to not squirm away from his aggressive actions on my face. As he began the extraction my tooth broke at the gum line. He called for suction, but the equipment was malfunctioning. There I sat, with tooth bits and blood in my mouth and staff is busy fixing faulty equipment! I'm curious as to how this will heal, as the dentist seemed to drill out the root rather than to extract it.

This horrible man got in my friend's face SCREAMING at her because she dared to ask questions about her treatment. Avoid him, he's clearly unstable.

Was a patient for 4 years. My dentist retired and I made the mistake going here because a friend had worked for Mark. Dental work CONSTANTLY had to be redone. I never felt like any of the staff cared and it was all about rushing us through.

The Community Services Director, Pastor Anthony Hall is disgusting. He showed me an inappropriate picture of himself at a community outreach event. I was so shocked that I never participated in any of their events again. Why they would employ someone so low rent is uncanny.

Tips & Advices
  • If a tooth decays and the nerves or pulp (soft internal tissue which helps teeth develop) become inflamed or infected
  • If a tooth is cracked or broken and nerves are exposed
This generally depends on any specific issues you wish to address with your teeth. There are toothpastes designed to whiten teeth, fight cavities, decrease sensitivity, prevent bad breath, resist gingivitis, and those specific to children (with lower fluoride content). There are also toothpastes that offer “complete” protection by combining aspects of many of the above toothpastes.
It’s recommended to get a professional cleaning at least two times per year.
  • Desensitizing toothpaste numbs the nerves in the teeth that can cause discomfort.
  • Mouth guard can protect against grinding teeth during sleep.
  • Fluoride treatment can be applied by dentists to sensitive areas to numb teeth and strengthen enamel.
  • Root canal can treat problems in a tooth’s core.
  • Surgical gum graft where a piece of gum tissue is removed from a section of the mouth to cover an exposed root.
Not everyone needs to have their wisdom teeth removed, but there are certain signs that can help you and your doctor determine if yours should be:
  • Wisdom teeth are pushing other teeth around, causing pain and misalignment
  • Cysts form around newly emerged wisdom teeth, causing jaw damage
  • Gums get inflamed and swollen, causing cavities and pain
  • Doctor determine from x-rays that wisdom teeth will cause problems in the near future

Just a moment...
