I have a 2008 Toyota RAV4 that I bought from a small dealership in Gallatin but the abs and brake light came on. When I took it to the vehicle inspection it did not pass. I took it to the dealership specifically Toyota of Murfreesboro they told me that the switch brake sensor had to be replaced. After they replace the switch sensor the light was still on, then they told me that they were going to diagnose some more which they don't know what exactly cost it which is going to cost me even more. The dealership didn't even know what's wrong with the electrical system. I had shod do the diagnostic. The guy's been few hours working on trial and error without charging me until he got it pass and he fixed the electrical system. He'll emanated all the warning lights. I took my car to the vehicle inspection and it passed. I did not have to pay an arm and a leg at the dealership. Up to this point my car still running smooth and perfect. I'm very happy with the service. This mobile mechanic did an excellent job on my car. I would recommend it him to anyone. Excellent service.

Price's Collision Centers
VERY, VERY, VERY disappointed with Price's! They damaged my steering wheel during a simple fender repair. I called them before I got home to report what there were several gashes in my steering wheel. I brought it back for them to take pictures. They said they would replace it with a new one after admitting it had, indeed, been damaged. Only after I called many times with absolutely NO return phone calls, my "new" wheel was here and ready for install. I asked if he'd forgotten to call me. He laughed and said, "Yep, out of sight, out of mind." Seriously? I told him I would keep that in mind should I need a body shop again. Regarding my wheel, what do you know...they put a dirty, stained, used wheel on my car! I came right back inside and told Ron, my advisor this wasn't acceptable. What did he say? "Ma'am, you didn't start with a new wheel. A new wheel costs $800 to $900". I reminded him that he told me they would replace my damaged steering wheel with a new one. Today all I got were excuses. I will never, ever bring another vehicle to Price's. If you've never used them, it's good to know the almighty dollar comes FIRST at Price's!

They charged me 800 dollars to change my brake booster. 2 days later my truck was leaking brake fluid. He stripped out the bleeder valve I had to buy a new caliper and change it myself . Overpriced over rated. Wanted 400 and up to change brake line . Got it done for 240 at hermitage hills brake and auto. Don't go they suck at Car X.

First of all let me say rhat i love Torrid. I buy 99.9 % of my clothes there. Back when it first opened in Mirfreesboro I shopped at that location exclusively. The staff was so helpful and friendly to everyone. I have had not so greay experiences the last three ties i have visited and i will try to avoid it from now on. Unless there is no other option. The store was mess. Back in the clearance section none of the sizes were grouped together nor were dresses, tops, pants etc. Clearance is normallyessy and various sizes stuck in the wrong place by customers but there was zero rhyme or reason to it. There wete also two small children belonging to one of the employees runni g around the store playing and squealing. They were precious but this is not the experience i want to have when shopping. She was working and her husband was hanging out with the kids while she worked. Just overall an unpleasant experience.also the clothes throughoht the store are so crammed onti the racks that it is difficult to get them out to see what is there.

Christian Brothers Automotive
We've used Christian Brothers at least half a dozen times, including for some major repairs. They have always seemed very honest and the actual costs are usually very close to the estimate. Would rate them as highly reliable and recommended.
Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
