Tailwaggers Dog Glomming
I have been going here for years. I find the owner to be very honest and very very good to my dogs. This pic was taken right after I picked my dog up. Before I came to Tailwaggers, I never knew how beautiful my dog would be with a grooming. Over the years, I have taken 4 dogs there as well as a friends dog.. My friend liked the cut that he continued to take his dog there. My dogs go in there with their tails wagging and leave with the tails wagging. She works with the client, and is very accommodating. Now i would like to address the two reviews that were negative. 1. I have never NEVER in the years i have been going there, 4+ dogs had them come home with fleas, Do you not use flea and tic prevention?. 2. If you walk in with a muzzle on a dog you have to understand were the groomer is coming from. I fully understand her side of not feeling comfortable you walk in with a muzzle, but offer to take it off, that sends two different signals. Since I have been going here for years, the owner has to do what she feels comfortable with. I also have never seen her place empty. The way dogs r scheduled is simple, you bring them in and depending on what will be done your dog or dogs will be out in 2-4 hours. Why would she have more dogs staying there than she can handle? I have never seen her empty unless my dogs r the last to be picked up. 3. I have at times had to wait a week to get in with my dogs, but my fault, I wait till the last minute and ask if i can get in. If she gets a cancellation, she knows that i will be there at a drop of a hat as i live and work nearby.

Tailwaggers Dog Glomming
I have tried the two other dog grooming facilities here in Morris & neither have stood up to my standards. Nails and Tails is disgusting. The smell is so overwhelming that I had to hold my breath. I watched one of the women there grab a dog, NOT by its scruff of the neck, but by the hair on its back, pull at it then smack the dog. I couldn't believe what I saw. That Doggie Salon wasn't much of a salon at all. It's a room behind a landscaping business; and I wasn't impressed with how he cut my pooch either. Tailwaggers was the cleanest place I have gone to here in Morris. I used to live in Manhattan and would take my dog to a very nice place in Frankfort, IL, but that's just too far now. I WILL be going back to Tailwaggers. The woman behind the counter was polite, professional and thorough. GREAT PRICE TOO! Cheapest I've had to pay in this town for a 6.5 lb dog! I highly recommend this facility, despite what the other reviews have stated. If you have had a positive experience with Tailwaggers, you should write a review. People usually only speak up when there has been a negetive experience; I know because I work in the service industry too.

Tips & Advices
Many people fear that their pet will be injured at the groomer, but incidents of serious injury are infrequent. For minor injuries , it is appropriate the groomer pay the vet bill, and can usually be worked out between groomer and owner. For moderate to severe injuries, you can attempt to activate groomer’s liability insurance to cover medical expenses. However, be aware that most groomer contracts stipulate that the business does not assume responsibility.
Staff at groomers know that there is inherent risk when handling animals, and they are familiar with being snapped at or bitten. However, it is not a normal occurrence or something you should ignore. Many people choose to cover medical expenses or pay extra--at minimum, apologize and get the dog into behavior classes. It is a given that  you should sedate or muzzle the animal for all future grooming sessions.
It is always recommended to make an appointment to get your pet groomed. While some groomers, especially in the larger pet stores, can accommodate with short notice, popular neighborhood groomers are often booked out two weeks out or longer on weekends.
If your pet has sensitive skin, let the groomer know when you set the appointment. But be aware, all dogs have sensitive skin by human standards--their skin is much thinner. Therefore, you should be on the lookout for signs of sensitivity, and reduce it through regular grooming with gentle, natural shampoo and conditioner. Oatmeal shampoo is a favorite. Daily brushouts and omega oil supplements are recommended for every day at-home care.
For various reasons including insurance clauses and pet-owner relationship dynamics and behaviors, groomers prefer owners don’t stay with their pets while being groomed.
