J's Automotive
I've been going to J's for many years. The first experience I had with them was my 99 dodge neon died on me. Being female, I know how mechanics will try to finagle anything for a buck. I talked to the owner, told him what I've looked at, and he said I needed a new head gasket. Most places I would have paid lots of money for it and they would have had it out forever. I paid him a decent price and I had my baby in my possession that day. About 2 years ago I had bought a Dodge Avenger (yes.. I love dodges) and within six months my transmission went out on me. I had it towed to J's just so he could take a look at it while I worked with the dealership. Needless to say the dealership wanted me to tow it from Moreno Valley to Fontana and then they would look into it and I would have to pay at least 1/2 of what it cost. No guarantee on how soon I would have my car back. When I told the owner's son, Junior, he said I would just have to pay a really good price (less than what the dealership wanted) and he would fix it in a few days. I gave him the okay and brought him half the money. The next day at work I get a call from Junior saying my car was ready. They are amazing, they work quickly, and they give excellent prices that help a single mom like myself be able to afford getting their car fixed. I won't let anyone else touch my car and I will always depend and trust them to not screw me over when it comes to taking care of my car.

Espinoza Automotive Inc
Mr. Espinosa is not only a great mechanic but also an honest man. I was in his shop one day and a lady came in saying that she needed new brakes because she heard a noise every time that she braked. When she returned to pick her car up, Mr. Espinosa informed her that she did not need new brakes. He told her that there was dust on the brakes and it was causing the squealing sound. He told her that he had cleaned them off and he didn't charge her. Mr. Espinosa could have replaced the brakes but instead chose to do the right thing.I take my car there any time that I need work done. I have also sent several relatives and friends to Mr. Espinosa and they are all very happy with his work.

Budget Auto Repair
I came here with a lot of problems with my car but not much money. Paul and Ramsey made me feel at ease, checked out my car, and fixed the main problem to at least get me back on the road. They went over all the other things wrong with my car and discussed options and what was important and what was not. They were never pushy. Just gave me the facts and let me make my own decision. They were really honest about what it would take to fix my break down so I can continue to drive the car and put some of the other things off. It's really hard to find an honest mechanic but I found my place here.

Budget Auto Repair
From the minute I walked in, these guys treated me with respect and courtesy. I came in here with a pretty bad oil leak and oil underneath my car. They explained exactly what they had to do to find the problem and called me back later to tell me what they found. I needed my car the next day to drive out of town. The mechanic stayed late finishing my car. When I came to pick it up the manager introduced me to the mechanic that worked on it. So I got a really good explanation of everything that was done. I was very happy and will be recommending this mechanic.

King Auto Repair
When I had my 99 Mustang GT that had a broken radiator these guys where the cheapest around town. I took my Mustang to them and they had all the parts in and the car ready that same day. I then had an encounter with some debris on the freeway that ended underneath my car and pushed my modified exhaust and misaligned the mufflers. After it would just rattle underneath the car and I took it to them just so I can use their lift and they ended up fixing the exhaust for free. They've become real good family friends now and I trust them with the family cars.

gas tank was leaking, had to tow it to mike who found and fixed the leak. on pick up, the car would start once then not start again. he spent some time looking for this problem but eventually found it and replaced the faulty part. and i thought the price was reasonable for the work he did. i wouldnt hesitate to bring my car back for repair. and he tells you what he can and cant/wont do. since i couldnt get home, he offered to have me dropped off. i am glad i found his shop through the yellow pages and i think i can trust his work.

Budget Auto Repair
My car was quickly diagnosed and repaired the same day, actually within 4 hours. The price of the repair was lower than what I'd expected to pay, and I have an older Jaguar, plus was stranded by it breaking down, so felt I was extremely vulnerable to being taken advantage of with repair charges. Instead, everything was fixed quickly for much less than I expected to pay. I really appreciated that all the questions I had were answered professionally and knowledgeably. My experience was great there.

Budget Auto Repair
Budget Auto did an awesome job with my truck and treated me like a king. My warranty company referred me here and I now see why Budget Auto is on their list of preferred shops. These guys gave me a ride and then picked me up. The manager kept me informed about the repairs and took care of everything with my extended warranty. I just came in and paid my $100 deductible and the rest was taken care of painlessly. This will my where I take my truck from now on.

Budget Auto Repair
Come here a few months ago for water pump. They treat me good. I come back today and service was still very good. They don't talk down to me like other shops I used to go to. They treating me with respect and it showing that they value me and the business I'm giving them. I have told some friends about this shop and one friend came a few weeks ago. She thank me for telling her about Budget Auto because they took good care of her to.

Basically a family-owned business with just a few employees. I have found Trent to be very honest and direct about my numerous car issues over the years. I have recommended him to several friends and co-workers with no regrets at all.Basically, you're paying for a professional auto repairman who can tell you whether or not it needs fixing and whether or not he can fix it.
Tips & Advices
Among the common scams pulled are needless repairs, where a garage charges you for work that isn't necessary. Another popular one is attracting customers through a cheap oil change or tire pressure check. Then, when you your car is being repaired, they give you a long list of other corrections they'd like to make, therefore boosting the total cost of your bill. The best way to combat these types of problems is getting a written estimate before work is done so you can see how much repairs are expected to cost. If the final bill is higher than the estimate projected, ask to specifically see the work. Make sure information is put in writing as well. If a problem remains, you can have proof that work was not done to your satisfaction.
For winter driving, features such as the defroster, heater and exhaust system are paramount. Look in your owner's manual for specific directions on how features should be checked and repaired. Many newer cars have a cabin air filter that can be replaced when needed, allowing warm air to continue to flow in. Also, check tires before winter driving, as they need to be at the proper pressure to perform well on snow and ice.
In the spring and summer, you want to be sure your air conditioner and cooling systems work correctly. Given the high temperatures, overheating is a common problem. Look over the system by ensuring there is enough coolant available. If it needs to be refilled, it is best to open the hood and add more to the car before it gets too warm out. Also, clean out fan ducts and other ventilation sources necessary for summertime driving.
Some fixes to your car can be done without paying a specialist. Issues like replacing oil and air filters are relatively simple, with instructions provided in the owner's manual on how to make these changes. The same goes for replacing broken windshield wipers or burnt-out headlights. Such issues should be repaired quickly to guarantee safety, but don't require a visit to a garage.
Yes. Not every type of auto repair work needs to be done by a certified mechanic. You can fix some of a vehicle's issues just by paying attention to how the automobile is running and having a basic understanding of auto repair. Look over the ways weather may impact your car and what preventative measures you can take to avoid having to take it into the shop.
