Gipson's Tire Pros
"As always, the service performed at Gipson’s on Saturday, April 9, was excellent. The staff was friendly and courteous, as usual. While having my car serviced is a necessity, it is a responsibility that I do not usually look forward to. Gipson’s makes this a more pleasant experience for me and I thank all of you!"Dollie B."To whom it may concern: I'm a new customer to your business and just wanted to say thanks for great customer service by your staff. They got my vehicle into your service techs and were able to take care of (3) items very quickly: 1. Tire rotation, 2. Transmission fluid check, and 3. Brake check & rotor fix. Your two gentlemen up front did a great job and I feel very comfortable with taking my vehicles to you for any future work. I feel I can fully trust your establishment & will recommend you to my associates. Thanks for a job well done!"James Q."Thank you for being so nice and staying late to make sure my car was fixed. I just wanted to let you know that God works all things together. On my way home I drove up on an accident that involved an 18-wheeler and a couple other vehicles. It had just happened and the emergency personnel were not there yet. If you had not taken the time after hours to take my car back in and fix the squealing -that could have been me involved in the wreck. You never know what God is up to when things don't go like we want (or when you have to stay late to fix a squeal)."Lori M."I am very, very satisfied with the service performed on the Pacifica. Your technician, Drew, is a very skilled and efficient technician, and I am very pleased with his work on my car. I intend to return to your Prattville shop for any necessary tire, wheel, and brake service on all my cars. Thank you."Joe T."I'm not for sure who waited on us, but my husband and I were coming home from our vacation in Orange beach (6/2) when we blew a tire. We are from Kentucky. I just wanted to thank you for being so kind and very reasonable on your prices. We were really expecting to pay a lot more. There is a tire company here in town that would have taken advantage of us and we are local. I just wanted to say thank you so much for everything."Diane M.

Bell's Transmission Service - Tire Center
The brakes in my truck went out on Tuesday evening. First thing Wednesday morning, I started searching for "Brake Repair" ads on Google. I began calling various garages (starting with Haigler's Automotive, a lot of folks first choice) in the area throughout the morning. All of them gave me a timeframe of 2-3 days to even look at the vehicle. I just didn't have that kind of time. I called Bell's Transmission Service to see if they had space available. They said they could take a look at it immediately and have an estimate within 2 hours. I brought my truck in around 11. In the meantime, I began researching various methods of self-repair and found that the overall price of parts would be around $250 for me to do it myself (not to mention several hours of my time). When I received a call from Bell's around 1:30, he quoted $350 and 24 hours to do the repair. Sounded like a fair price to me, with a very quick turn around. I picked the vehicle up, ready to go and fully functional at 1:00 Thursday afternoon. Overall, they provided very good customer service and a very affordable bottom line to the usually overpriced Auto Repair service. I would definitely come here again for my Auto Repair needs, and would recommend others do the same.

Tire & Wheel Professionals
If you want to be treated with honesty, with kindness and with truthfulness when having your vehicle repaired or serviced, then this is the place. I've been shopping with Blake, Brian & Jeffery for over 20 years and I have no reason to leave. These guys know what the are doing and the customer service is 2nd to none. Anyone who has had a bad experience with them must have went to the wrong place. They go out of their way to may shopping here pleasant and the coffee is good also.

Gipson's Tire Pros
To all of you that have a burr under your saddle I have been doing business with gipsons for years and there is no better service in this area of alabama. They have one of the best techs in alabama working for them and thats Richard he is the best. Doug and his staff are the best and stay very busy if there is a problem they will get to the bottom of it and it will be fixed. I own Dream Baths of Alabama and they keep our trucks on the road. They are a group of great guys .

Truck Customs Inc
They were very friendly and helpful. I was shopping around for side steps for my truck and wound up using them because the pricing was affordable and they had way better customer service than the other companies I went to. In my opinion if you want great pricing and great customer service you should give them a shot.

Velaros Auto Sales
I bought a 2001 suburban and I never had any major problems with it. It was also a reasonable price. I paid 2800 cash for it and that was great!
Tips & Advices
Yes. New tires purchased online can often be priced lower than ones at a tire dealership. Buyers can often avoid state sales taxes and locate hard-to-find tire styles and sizes, but will still have to locate a local tire installer and pay sometimes high shipping costs.
The average cost of a set of new tires is $637, with a range of between $525-$725. In addition, installation includes mounting and balancing, alignment, and disposal of old tires.
The vehicle is raised and the old wheels are removed, then the old tires are removed from the wheels. The lug nuts, wheels, and valve stems are inspected and replaced as needed. The new tires are mounted and sealed, then inflated and balanced. The wheels are then replaced on the car. The average installation takes approximately 45 minutes.
Agencies such as the Tire Industry Association promotes tire safety through advocacy and education to the industry including: manufacture, sales, repair, service and recycling. Seek a full-service tire dealer who carries a wide variety of tire types and brands and asks about the type of driving you normally do.
  • Move your car to a safe location.
  • Turn on your car’s safety lights, apply the parking brakes and remove the hubcap if there is one.
  • Loosen the lug nuts with a lug wrench (but do not remove them), raise the vehicle with a jack and then fully remove the lugnuts.
  • Remove the flat tire and replace it with the spare tire.
  • Tighten the lug nuts by hand, lower the car and then tighten them fully with the lug wrench.

Just a moment...
