I have been going through a contentious ugly custody battle for three years now. I have interviewed many different family law attorneys to represent mebut I was disheartened with the fact that a lot of them take no interest in your case you're just another number to the, or so it feels.through another attorney I came across Mike.I made a consultation appointment and was immediately convinced he was my man!!!!!!!!!! Mike listenedto me and I could see that he actually takes an interest in his clients and feels their pain.not too many people yet attorneys like that in the world anymore today true statement!!!!!you would think then an attorney with 40 years experience would be tired and I'm interested but not Mike.he was always extremely energetic meticulous with his notetaking prompt with his emails and prepared for court. Mike also allows you to be involved in your case which is not too common with most attorneys do to them feeling like they know it all.remember people we know are cases better than anybody so when an attorney will allow you to be involved that is a plus. I highly recommend Mike or any family matter you may have he is a true professional and a compassionate hard-working dedicated person, And I can guarantee you that you will get the same service that I was so lucky to get.and by the way We won our case. Great work Mike:)Derek walker

Michael is extremely compassionate and professional in his approach. I had worked previously with another attorney, or should I say paralegal and it was a terrible experience. It was refreshing to actually be able to talk to an attorney, Michael, throughout this whole process. I'm glad I was referred to Michael. We continue to stay in touch and he continues to give me legal advice through my custody issues. For anyone looking for an attorney I would highly recommend Michael. Divorce is difficult enough, have someone on your side like Michael!

I am so happy to have chosen Mr. Loeffler. He is a kind compassionate person. He immediately uncovered my urgent needs and guided me in the right direction. This is a tough time to go through and I felt supported and safe. He went above and beyond my expectations for an attorney at just the consultation. I look forward to working with him throughout this inevitable process. Thank you Mr. Loeffler and his staff.

Tips & Advices
Each state has different mandates on how child support is determined. But there are some basic factors that underline how costs are determined in each state, including:
  • Income level of parent that needs to pay support (in the case of joint custody, the costs are determined by income of each party and the percentage of time the child spends with each parent)
  • Financial needs of child
  • Child’s standard of living before the divorce occurred
This is a divorce in which one party does not have to prove that the other’s actions lead to a deterioration of the marriage. The reason for divorce is listed as "irreconcilable differences" or an "irreparable breakdown of the marriage,” meaning the marriage was no longer working and could not be repaired.
Family law attorneys are helpful in cases where the two parties are not on amicable terms. The lawyers can act as intermediaries between the two parties and help them come to any settlement agreements, however long that may take. Lawyers can also help parties navigate tricky state laws regarding settlement agreements and child custody, thus expediting the process.
A contested divorce is one in which the parties cannot agree on either the necessity of the divorce as a whole, or how assets (money, property, etc.) and child custody should be split between them in the divorce. An uncontested divorce is when the parties are in agreement on how assets and child custody will be split between them. These divorces can sometimes be handled without hiring a lawyer.
It is possible for a couple to get a divorce without hiring a family law attorney. If the two parties are in agreement on how finances, child custody, properties, etc., will be split, then they can file the necessary court documents themselves and avoid the services of a lawyer.
