Cheese Tortellone in Alfredo Sauce is AMAZING. Any night with the fresh clam sauce is a good night. I've eaten everywhere in Moab and this place continues to surprise me everytime I'm there. I could eat it twice a day, everyday.

The Sunset Grill is in the former home of Uranium King Charlie Steen. In the early 1950s Moab was a small farming community. Arches and Canyonlands were places only a lucky few experienced. In 1952 Charles A. Steen, geologist and prospector, put Moab on the world map. The Sunset Grill specializes in hand-cut steaks, prime rib, seafood, and other traditional dishes.

Typical Italian food. We ate at Zax’s several times during our vacation as they are normally open until 11:00 p.m. in a town where most restaurants close at 10:00 p.m. Food was good but most of the staff has much to be desired. Most left their personality at the door and treat you as if you are bothering them, but they sure are hungry for your money. The kind of staff that makes you think, if they don’t like dealing with the public why don’t they find a job where they have no interaction with people. Don’t sit outside during the summer if the water mist system is in operation as you will receive a shower while eating like it or not. Had several items but recommend the pizza and extra crispy wings, pizza buffet seems way over priced go for a personal pan or large pizza made to order.

Just like Arches, this one cannot be missed!! Very kind when making a reservation, equally as warm when the reservation was moved to a later time and that set the tone for what the rest of the experience would be like. Great ambience, lovely building, nice art work and usage of lighting and color. Our waitress Jen was warm,, fun and well informed. What she didn't know she was willing to find out. We started with three great appetizers, a brie dish, a pork dish and a tamale with elk. (A salad which was also ordered, never materialized but into our second bottle of wine we neglected to bring it to Jen's attention), All three were delicious. Wanting to try all the well described dishes, we were in a quandry over which entree to choose. With Jen's help, We finally decided to try four different dishes and divide each plate into a quarter so we each could try them all. Jen immediately brought over four small plates to make it easier and we rotated each dish clockwise after we had tasted, what a ball we had!! The pheasant, the deer, the lamb and the elk, Yum Yum Yum is all we can say!! The Elk however, is number 1, if we had room in our stomachs we would have ordered another Elk dish for dessert, that is how good it was!

Excellent beer! Yes, the local Moab beer is really good. Yes, i know it is Utah, and the Mormons tried for a long time to lower the alcohol content, but these days are over, and to prove it, try the Moab Stout, one of the best beer I have ever had. Excellent burgers in this nice pub, good atmosphere, very nice staff. They also have pizzas, steaks and seafood.

The Jailhouse Cafe is a cute little building on the corner of Main in Moab, UT. The inside is very quaint and clean, and there is also outdoor seating. I ordered an omelet that came with red peppers, sundried tomatoes, mozzarella, basil pesto, and made with Egg Beaters. I have never had an omelet with basil pesto before, but it was amazing! The flavors worked really well together. The size of the omelet was huge too, and came with fried potatoes and toast. I tried my friend's pancakes and they were very fluffy, hot, and had a great flavor. The only drawback was that the price was a little high (about $11). The dining area was clean, and service was great. I would go back to the Jailhouse Cafe next time I am in Moab, UT.

They make everything at the restaurant. It is yummy food. There muffins are the best, but everything else is soooo good. When you're in Moab, it's nice to have a place to get on my lap-top and enjoy my breaky, or get a lunch to go into Arches or Canyonlands' for a hike.

Courteous and friendly employees. Food was good and had big portions. They even had a bakery section. The restaurant was small so you may want to consider takeout on busy nights.
