Mission Pediatric & Orthodontics Dentistry
Mission Pediatric and Orthodontics Dentistry is the best! I have been going there for over 20 years. Dr. Peterson is a wonderful and honest dentist. He is kind and his staff is very welcoming and helpful! I have recommended Dr. Peterson to all my family and friends he is helpful and takes the extra time in explaining what is going on with your teeth. He does not rush his patients out the door, he makes sure to explain what types if issues his patient might have... I hope he stays there because I am happy with his work that he has done for my teeth. And now I have a heathy and pretty smile! Rawya

Dr. Lapsi is an excellent dentist. He is excellent in his profession to the point of being a perfectionist. Got a lot of dentistry comprising of Root Canals, crowns, extraction and Implants all under sedation. Felt no pain and am extremely happy with my treatment. To top it all, he is very reasonable with his prices and extremely fair. If people are looking for an above average dentist, than go to Excel Dental & Orthodontics.

Dr. Lapsi is really good at his work and based on my experience with him, I would rate him as the best dentist I have had till date. He is pretty straightforward and always lets the patient have a say in any course of action. I have been going to him for an year now for my invisiline and regular teeth checkup and have been amazed with my results. I would recommend him to anyone who is looking for a reliable dentist.

Dr. Lapsi is pretty good at his work and after being treated by him for more than a year, Ic an comfortably say he has been the best dentist I have tried out till now. He is pretty clear in communicating with the patients and let them have a say in the course of action. Most often the results are good and have been recommending Dr. Lapsi for some of my colleagues.

Dr. Salib is the absolute best. He teaches at USC and lectures internationally. He has great bedside manners and is very sweet. I took my daughter to have her wisdom teeth removed and she had no pain after the procedure. Highly recommend!

Tips & Advices
  • If a tooth decays and the nerves or pulp (soft internal tissue which helps teeth develop) become inflamed or infected
  • If a tooth is cracked or broken and nerves are exposed
This generally depends on any specific issues you wish to address with your teeth. There are toothpastes designed to whiten teeth, fight cavities, decrease sensitivity, prevent bad breath, resist gingivitis, and those specific to children (with lower fluoride content). There are also toothpastes that offer “complete” protection by combining aspects of many of the above toothpastes.
It’s recommended to get a professional cleaning at least two times per year.
  • Desensitizing toothpaste numbs the nerves in the teeth that can cause discomfort.
  • Mouth guard can protect against grinding teeth during sleep.
  • Fluoride treatment can be applied by dentists to sensitive areas to numb teeth and strengthen enamel.
  • Root canal can treat problems in a tooth’s core.
  • Surgical gum graft where a piece of gum tissue is removed from a section of the mouth to cover an exposed root.
Not everyone needs to have their wisdom teeth removed, but there are certain signs that can help you and your doctor determine if yours should be:
  • Wisdom teeth are pushing other teeth around, causing pain and misalignment
  • Cysts form around newly emerged wisdom teeth, causing jaw damage
  • Gums get inflamed and swollen, causing cavities and pain
  • Doctor determine from x-rays that wisdom teeth will cause problems in the near future
