First I have to say the staff at this hotel was wonderful and helpful. When I checked in I was greeted by a gentlemen named Naif, what a terrific man. I arrived on Thursday night with a third-party reservation, that I made on last minute due to work. I was exhausted and cold, I didn't realize that I booked the wrong date and the wrong hotel. Seeing my frustration he kept he's great customers service. I had stayed in many hotels due to work and never have an experience like I had that night. You can tell that Mr. Naif loves his job and no doubt he loves working with people. He will put him self on peoples shoes and not a few people will do that. A great customer service it’s not something that you learn in a day, it’s knowing how you want to be treated as a guest and he knows how to embrace it with a great smile all the time. I had stayed in fancy hotels but AmericInn made me feel like home and like family. He was most gracious and welcoming, I felt he was genuinely happy to see me there in the middle of the night. I was truly impressed with his sense of ownership for his guest. WIFI was fast and efficient and breakfast was amazing, good location overall. My bad night turned into a unforgettable night. I would most DEFINITELY return and share my experience with my co-workers and friends. Thank you.
This is one of the first motels we have found where your choice of rooms really, REALLY, does matter a lot. (And that fact explains a few of the other varying reviews as well.) Our initial reservation was in a single queen room (they do have double queen rooms but I do not know what those are like) as we were just staying one night and were only going to be there for a few hours. That room, although clean, was small, cramped, somewhat dated, and next to the elevator shaft -- as were all the single queen rooms apparently. A very nice and helpful desk attendant, however, had warned us in advance (so we peeked) and told us that for a little more we could get the king with new bedding and much larger. Correct! The king room we took for a little more money was extremely large, clean, and well kept. The bed was very comfortable. Toilet and shower seperate from the sink. Nice touch when two people are in the room. Air conditioning unit was automatic and relatively quiet. Wonderful room really for the price. Location is convenient if you have a car, but there is nothing much within easy walking distance as you are on the other side of the highway from MOA and most restaurants.
The Assistant Manager and night clerk both performed way beyond our expectations, we needed a 2:30 AM wake up call and were treated to fresh coffee, rolls and fruit, not the full blown breakfast but way more than we expected. Whwn we returned to the Hotel to collect our car after a week long vacation it had been cleared of more than a foot of snow by the assistant manager. We were so impressed by the actions of both these gentlemen we called the corporate customer service line to extoll their virtues. If you have to fly out of MSP and want to park your car while you are gone I would suggest the AmericInn Bloomington East. With the reasonable price of one nights room my car was secure and cared for, and we were treated better, way better, than expected.
Based on other reviews of it being disgusting and bad service, I nearly packed latex gloves and mentally problem-solved before arriving. The hotel is fine! The room was clean, had all supplies needed, and has somewhat been updated. The front desk was quick and helpful. I saw a maintenance person about 4 different times. The pool and hot tub were great according to my kids and the area had a lot of pool towels. Breakfast was clean and plentiful. I'm giving this an "excellent" rating because for $80, everything was positive, there was a good, free breakfast, and the convenient location to the Mall of America. This is not luxury; this is a budget-midrange hotel. Great value.
I got there early and was able to check into my room. The room was clean and beds were vey comfort. My experience was great, the "staff" was friendly and the cleaning staff was also great. The staff at the front desk was very friendly and was very helpfully giving me directions on how to walk to places and how to catch the bus, and also able to walk to the Mall of America since I don't drive. Breakfast was the great, from waffles, eggs, biscuits, etc.You can have coffee (great) any time of the day. I will be happy to stay in another Americinn hotel.
