I have been going to this coffee shop for years. Same wonderful owner. Great service, great food and coffee. The employees are the best. They have wonderful seating outside in the warm months. They even have the best Christmas trees around in December! (Who would have thought) :-) I love supporting the local businesses.

I've been a regular client of the BW for 5 years. I love it! The food is healthy, fresh and unique. I was shocked to read such scathing reviews about the BW and was inspired to write my first review ever on CitySearch to give potential customers another perspective. There are vegan and vegetarian options (I'm not vegan but I still LOVE the vegan tempeh sloppy joe!) as well as terrific organic choices. The ""El Diablo"" egg and cheese sandwich is really yummy because of the spicy chorizo the BW has. They also offer the chorizo on the side if you want to give it a try by itself. Also, the brewed coffee is great and the self-service concept means you have total control over your ordering experience (the servers bring you the food, you just need to order it at the cashier) and can have as many glasses of water (with fresh lemon!!) or cups of coffee as your heart desires. It is a great place to go with a friend to catch up and have time to talk without getting rushed out or feeling the need to move! The same waitresses have worked there for years and so it feels a bit like going home when I visit. I also adore their coffee drinks. They have the typical latte/espresso smorgasbord with some funky other choices to boot. The iced mocha and Tokyo Rose (espresso with raspberry and white chocolate) are both divine! I've also had the Cubano coffee - yum yum. They also have a Vietnamese coffee I have been dying to try. All in all the BW offers a little something for everyone, with kind, attentive wait staff and a relaxed, fun atmosphere. For example, each table is named after a super hero so when you order you have to list the name of your table's super hero so servers know where to bring your food :) Every time I go I have a hard time deciding what to order because there are so many things I want to eat and drink! I've recommended it to many people and have lots of friends who also LOVE the BW. Definitely worth checking out!

Step aside, Starbucks & Caribou behemoths - Taraccino has got you outclassed! Jerry, the owner, brews his own coffee - I've got my pound of ""Nordeast Mud"" at home and wouldn't bother getting out of bed except for the double shot that I know is waiting for me. Bright, clean, smoke-free, with a shelf full of books to read and board games to play.

These guys are not known for good service, but sometimes it's very comical how they work in tandem so well with each other. I've been such a big fan of al's since grade school at Pikes that I can't tell you what about it is the place known for. But the food is always great and the wait just makes me want more. Al's has been such a great place on campus, hopefully they stick around!

Where do I start? This place has been Fabulous from the time they opened --15 years ago(?). They have been buying local and organic since they opened and stayed the course. The breakfast and dinner get my highest rating, they use the best coffee and make Sonny's award winning ice cream and sorbet on premises. The summer patio is the prettiest I've seen in the entire world, there's candlelight, wine, romance, all of it... Oh, and it appears that the same crazy person reviewed Crema a couple years back (6 times on the same day) and gave he staff a bad rating. The staff rocks!

I was truly impressed by the service and the taste of food. They have lived up to the name of the restaurant ""Sapor"" which actually means Flavor. The food is simply great and you can relish the distinct flavor of each of the ingredients in the meal! It is worth all the money.

A friend introduced me to this restaurant a few months ago and I went back 3 times in the first weeks! I love the food. I could order almost anything on the menu and be totally thrilled! Also, the prices are very reasonable and the setting is very cozy. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone wanting a modern take on traditional dishes!

I have been going to Sister Sludge since they opened about 11 years or so. They have by far, the best service and mochas that I have come across. My favorite is the white mocha. The Sisters' all are beautiful people inside and out who are trusting, welcoming, and very friendly. The teens and adults they hire have all incredible personalities that come out when you are there. Oh...and they ALWAYS know your name and remember your drink. They even get Christmas cards from their customers!

I love this place so much I go there just about every week. Everything they have there is just delicious. The short wait for food and the great staff make it even better. I hope they are able to expand in the future to include more locations! I have had a few friends who have gone there with me who ""don't like that kind of food."" Well that's not a problem because they make a really really good double cheeseburger too. So my friends got those and I got a gyro. They weren't disappointed with their food but they both had wished they got a gyro as well.

I used to come here all the time in high school because it is the ultimate cool spot that is not a bar. They have a wide range of specialty coffee drinks. Great outdoor seating. Blocks away from the Art Museum and conveniently located on Eat Street. Parking can be a hassle. Expect it to be difficult to find a place to plug in your laptop because they get busy. Free Wi-Fi. You have to visit this place more than once because the art work changes all the time and is available for sale. For example one time they displayed old Star Wars movie posters from around the world, other times it?s local photographers, artists, from the very strange and exotic to plain but ALWAYS interesting. They have retro tables and chairs. Booths as well as a very long bar. Very cool hanging 60?s and 70?s light fixtures. Very large crowds of artsy students with mohawks and chic clothes---perfect people watching hang out spot. Expect to hear very LOUD music from folk, punk, classical and just about anything. Open late. If you like SpyHouse they have a sister shop down the street called the Badwaitress that has a large food menu plus all the SpyHouse coffee drinks PLUS beer and wine.

I visited my mom and my sister in Saint Paul. My mom had surgery and I bought her a stuffed caribou. She loved that thing and slept with it in the hospital. Unfortunately, it was lost at the hosptial. I live in Seattle and worked in the Starbucks Roasting Plant for 12 years. I like Starbucks coffee but the quality did not survive our departure from hand roasting. I have to say that Caribou coffee is way better than Starbucks. I love the taste of Caribou coffee. And the baristas were all very friendly (of course, it was Minnesota). I hope Caribou is around for a long time. Caribou rocks!\r Sparky in Seattle\r

Made an impromptu decision to try this place out for a late night lunch, and I'm so glad we did! They have amazing food, good coffee, and unbeatable prices. I had the $5 burger, fries, and coke special, AMAZING DEAL. The fries were absolutely delicious. Not to mention you can get 10% off with a student ID! Me and 2 other friends ate there for a total of $15, and we were all very impressed with the food. I would recommend this place to anyone wanting an affordable and delicious meal, for any meal of the day!

Relaxed, friendly local coffee house. Yes, there are bikers. There are also seniors, knitters, students, dogs and their human companions, parents and even children. Bob's is just a great place to get a cup of pretty rockin' coffee, hang out, talk to people.... all the things you do at your local coffee house.\r \r You likely won't earn your cred here, although you'll be acknowledge for what you have. If that's all you care about, please go elsewhere!

This Dunn bros is right across from the park, which makes it a great people watching location. Parking can be tight, but they do have a free lot and 2 hour street parking out front.

Went there to try the pasties... fantastic!, and I'm a transplanted Englishman so I know a good pasty when I see/taste one. Recommend getting it with the gravy, makes all the difference. It's worth phoning in advance if you want to take some frozen pasties home with you. Only gripe is the location (slightly run down area) and my clothes smelt a bit like I'd been near a deep fat fryer when I left. Cafe is kept very clean and staff are pleasant and attentive.

I have been going to IBC on and off for about 4+ years. I am always welcomed with a smile, they always know what I am going to want and will make the food I am ordering exactly how I want it, even if it's not on the menu. The owner, Ralph is just an all around nice guy, very down to earth. \r If you want to have a quick bite with great service, go to IBC. They are fantastic!

Matchbox fits it's namesake - it's tiny, but I've never been shy of a stool at the counter or a seat at the community table. There's also a great alley patio out back and feel free to grab a chair to read the newspaper out front in the sun. The coffee is organic and fair trade - and awesome! I love it, the Rabble Rouser is my favorite blend right now and the espresso is delicious. There are sandwiches from Black Cat and bakery from the Mayday Cafe in south and a couple of other places, I think. They just started composting with Eureka, which I think is awesome. Prices are totally reasonable, vegan and veggie friendly, juice boxes and cookies for kids, and they just might have a biscuit for your pooch (outside please)! The place is pretty small, so even though they have WiFi it might not be the best place to 'work from home'. I hate it when people talk on their cell phones in there, it's tiny and it's like you're right in everyone's business.

The food is excellent at this hidden coffee shop in Bryn Mawr. The coffee is great and it hides an impressive lunch menu. Try the sloppy joes, homemade! There are beer and wine specials daily. My favorite is the hot soy chai tea. Best in Mpls/St. Paul.
