If u want glamour go to some other place.. My experience in Milwaukee was there was no Manny's,Morton's,or Peter Luger's!!!! I've been to many good steakhouses across the country and the 1950's ambiance is great in my opinion! The steak is charred to perfection, a good size for any appetite! My favorite steak house ANYWHERE!! Have to go to Minneapolis for my second favorite! Everyone is friendly and staff has seen it all! On my trips to Milwaukee I won't miss this place. No-it's not fancy.

We had the most fantastic meal the other night at Ward's House of Prime!!! Seriously - it was unbelievable! The homemade dressing (dill/Tarragon?) was OUT OF THIS WORLD. I could have feasted on that alone. So glad I didn't, because the Lobster Ravioli was crazy good. My husband had a cut of the prime, and I can not tell you whose dinner was better. The owner came over and helped us select a bottle of wine. Wish I could recall the name of it (sorry) but it was the perfect compliment to the meal. Service was great, too. I hope this place stays around...I can't wait to go back!!!

I took my boyfriend to celebrate his 40th birthday on Friday night and we had a wonderful experience. Our waiter John was extremely knowledgeable about the specials, the food menu, and the extensive wine list. We were told the special of 2 entrees and a bottle of wine for $75 had ended but John was willing to ask management to accomodate us. We were thrilled. The thinly sliced kobe beef appetizer was amazing. We both ordered steaks which came prepared to perfection along with a delicious twice baked potato. We finished with a decadent chocolate cake that was oozing chocolate fudge. Not only was the meal more that what we expected, but the service was the best I have received in a very long while. We will definitely be returning to the Milwaukee Chop House very soon!

Fun place and creative menu makes for a fun time for all. Full menu, meats, seafood, veggie etc. We had the chefs tasting menu ( a surprise, since we didnt know what we were going to get, we did the regualr one but menu stated was available as a veggie) We were happy with all the courses and loved that the waitstaff brought us another dessert wrapped to go for my birthday, since one came with the chefs menu.\r \r In regards to one persons review about the decor is not as interesting???? What are they on, the old place was okay, lots of wood, and dark and hole like. This new place was very modern with a big city retro feel (if that makes any sense) Cool lighting, warm colors, much better. \r

And with a wine list featuring more than 400 selections, you’ll always find the perfect bottle to uncork with your meal. But it’s not merely the “meal” you’ll enjoy at Carnevor. Really great place for steak and seafood. We went there expecting it to be OK, nothing special. We were blown away. Mo's can compete with the best places in Chicago. Our server clued us into the Lobster Ceviche, which was divine. Then for dinner my husband had steak- prepared perfectly and I had Sea Bass- prepared with an amazing risotto. Really great service and food. It is our favorite place in Milwaukee. You can not go wrong eating at Mo's.

I went to Kil@wat for the second time last week, the first was lunch I will say that there were some bumps, however I do not feel that was a typical day for the restaurant. The atmosphere in the restaurant is warm and inviting, ""earthy"" if you will. Reflects some the best modern style that Milwaukee has to offer. My girlfriend and I were sat in a booth over a nice lighted view of all on water street. Any menu of course can be a little confusing at first, our waiter for the night was very patient and broke it down nicely for my girlfriend, even taking the to recommend pairings with courses and wine from the menu to what we would like. The waiter was kind enough to assure us the quality of the scallops as my girlfriend felt iffy about having them med rare, yet that quickly dissipated when I saw the look on her face and she refused to let me have any, so the red wine sauce on them ""looked"" good. The flat bread was surprisingly well composed for a simpler dish. The second course, the red pepper soup, was very comforting, sweet yet this nice heat in the back of your throat. The beat salad was an eye opener , I don't like beats, but those were roasted and with the vinaigrette and goat cheese, it was light and entirely devour-able.After our waiter asked us if he could pair a glass selection with what we were eating, and since we like pinot noir, he recommend one of the 3 choices they had according to our entrees, but also gave us a half bottle choice (side note: I have had half bottle selections before at restaurants and they are always disappointing.Being that kil@wat could definitely double for a wine bar.) On to the 3rd course, the polenta cake isn't really my forte, albeit it was pretty good, nicely done for any vegetarian. Where I was impressed though, the sea bass, I have had the sea bass at Umamimoto, wth bamboo rice, it is light, earthy, fresh, ethereal. So it made my eyes roll into the back of my head, and the kil@wat sea bass was better. It had more pizazz and way with flavor, up, down, then this slight zip from the pickled ginger on top. Now the short ribs came at me from left field and I'd say my girlfriend was being generous, but she was full. They were good, better than I would think a meat/potatoes dish could be.The waiter was so knoledgable to point out how it all was preped, and everything that was used in the sauce of the ribs, it all melts in your mouth. Almost, mind you, enough to pull me away from my bass. Overall, now with the wine it was a really nice flavor experience.Definitely, coming back with larger group and getting dessert, not very many restaurants have a pastry chef, and from what I was able to see go to other tables made me jealous. I highly recommend to let the waiter pick out what flavors you like. Food is 11/10. Service, you feel like you know them right away, attentive and thoughtful. The check was $145.For what we got surprised we weren't charged more, that same level does not go far at Sanfords,Carnivore,Capital Grille,Umamimoto.

I love going to TJ's for their burgers. They make a 1/2 burger that is amazing and with a side of fries or tatter tots for only $3! The staff is friendly and welcoming without over doing it. I would highly recommend stopping in for a bite to eat.
