Tran's Auto Service
If I could rate 00 Zero I will, Trans Auto on Martin Lutheran King drive and capitol is a rip off shop I had paid then to change all break lines in my Chevy truck and put u joint in my dry shaft and they install the wrong u joint in my dry shaft they charge me 1,022.00 and my dry shaft drop out of my truck two weeks later so I called them back and they told me to bring the truck back up there so I did then I have to pay 150.00 both ways for something they did not install right wrong u joints in dry shaft Now I'm here at the trans Auto place incorrectly install the u joints and the manager with cute pony tail with the gun on his waist told me they did not have a receipt but the next day he finds it and forge no warranty on paperwork. I told him you told me it was 90day warranty on your work when I gave you my money, also I paid them to change all break lines on my truck and they only change from front to the back front tire they never change the across in the rear break line have pictures. then i went to A 1 dry shaft place on 35 Townsend and they took the front one u joint off the dry shaft and told me it was the install in correct also it was the wrong part and that's why the rear one came out so easy while i was driving 40 bucks for u joint at A 1 installed with caps .My advice never get any work done from Trans Auto on MLK and Capitol without checking other options first unless you want to have a crash with your automobile for in correct work done my the RIP OFF TRANS AUTO .Any question please fill free to email bonerseven@gmail.com.Also they never made me whole again as a business will do or try to correct there F... Up.

Alarmtronix Home Security
DO NOT TAKE YOUR VEHICLE HERE!!! My wife took her car here to get remotes for her factory alarm & instead he said he has to put in another system to work with the factory system. So we let him work on it & only 2 of the 4 buttons on the remote work, even though he said all 4 will ( lock, unlock, trunk, panic) just the lock & unlock work. Then my wife gets the car back & they disconnected the hood release cable from under the hood so the hood doesn't open & one of the coils was unplugged so it was running on 5 cylinders instead of 6. They also unplugged multiple relay's while the car was running & it sent error codes to the computer to trump up the list of things wrong that supposedly needs to be fixed with his "free" scan to show you what's wrong with your car, I had my wife's car scanned at AutoZone that morning before she took her car in to have the alarm fixed & it was just the catalytic converter & with another scan after getting it back from Randy , there is 8 supposed problems now. This guy is a scam artist who will rob you blind if you don't know anything about your car. Honestly I'm sure he makes a commission on sending you to a mechanic "he knows", if he doesn't own the mechanic shop. It's Absolutely horrible how people like this try to take advantage of customers who came & paid him to do a professional job. Spend your hard earned money somewhere else that will not try to scam you out of every dime you have.

Andrew Chevrolet
Always get great service here. They are honest and fair. They didn't try and sell me anything I didn't need. Got my oil change and had concerns about my brakes. Instead of trying to sell me all new brakes on my 2016 like the last dealership did they told me the pads needed to just be machined! Saved me major $$$$

ALARMTRONIX is my favorite and ONLY place I go for all of my car audio equipment and installation. Randy is owner of the company is an amazing guy, he has great customer service. He takes his time with you and explains everything in great detail. I've been there many times and will definitely be coming back. They also have great competitive prices on all of their equipment and installation. ~~~Angela.V

Fairview Sales & Service
Jerry is a throwback to the days of honest-top notch work, for an honest price. He's got at least 40-plus years experience and it shows, my family has been dedicated to his service for over 20 years. He's a fresh breath of air, in the era of $130+ per hour labor and being pressured into non-needed work. He's incredibly reasonable, and fixes ONLY what is needed. As honest, and genuine as they get!! If you want first class service, no pressure, quick work and to be treated with respect. Don't go anywhere else... I'm a mechanic myself, with 30yrs experience. I wouldn't recommend anybody else!

Dave's Garage
Should be called Dave's Garbage. They had my car for 2 days and couldn't figure out the problem. They pretty much ended up charging a fortune to smoke in my car. I ended up taking it elsewhere for them to figure out the issue immediately.

Muffler Magic-Complete Car Care
This was the worst experience in life.I had my exhaust done on my 69 Buick Electra, and it was the worst! Anthony the owner threatened to call the cops on me and will not refund my money, what was told would be done wasn't even done, I recorded Anthony and he even told me the job was on him, but still refuses to refund my money, my car is now at John the Muffler man....The only magical thing about this company it's magic they are still in business! The exhaust was hanging so low, it hits the ground, I only have my car because I had to physically lower it down from the lift, then he took my keys, all this mind you on live Facebook video.....But if I didn't know about cars, I would be out of luck....It's sad that places like this exist.... I hope I can post a picture!**WARNING**THIS PLACE IS HORRIBLE!I PRAY NO-ONE HAS TO GO THROUGH THIS EXPERIENCE BECAUSE NOW TO RECOVER MUY MONEY I GOTTA TAKE HIM TO COURT..... SAD AND COMPLETELY EXHAUSTED AT THE ORDEAL.....
Tips & Advices
Depending on the part and its overall quality, a good amount of money can be saved by purchasing aftermarket parts versus OEM parts. But aftermarket parts that are low in price might also be lower in quality and could do more harm than good to your car, or they may need to be replaced more frequently than a more expensive counterpart. This could lead to saving some money in the short term, but spending more than anticipated in the long term.
The type of tires being purchased is the most significant determinant of their price. SUV tires are more costly than average car tires. And high-performance tires are more costly than economy grade tires. On average, standard tires for an average-sized vehicle are around $100 per tire. Standard tires for an SUV are around $150 and pick-up truck tires are about $200 on average. Some dealers offer discounts if purchasing more than one tire.
Car inspections typically take about an hour. However the wait time can be longer depending on how busy the shop is. Call ahead for an appointment to avoid long wait times.
Depending on the manufacturer, certain aftermarket parts can be just as reliable as Original Equipment Manufacturer (OEM) parts. But one item within a vehicle, like oil filters for instance, could have multiple manufacturers and there could be inconsistencies in quality among them.
Costs of replacing a windshield can vary greatly depending on a variety of factors:
  • Vehicle make and model
  • How much of the cost insurance will cover
  • Whether the windshield installers come to your location or you bring the vehicle to them
  • Standard service costs of the windshield installers
Generally, newer and higher-end vehicles cost more to have their windshields replaced because certain manufacturers use modified or proprietary glass types.
