La Isla Restaurant Ii
I never had any thing bad to say aBout this place for years until now. Im not into giving reviews but went out of my way to warn others. Recently, I went in on a Tuesday with 2 other friends, we sat at their counter, looked at their menu. No one there even acknowledged us at all. We watched a man come in, got his food and left and two other girls after us come in, ordered and left before us. I understand they were busy but u have to be kidding me, that was ridiculous. My friend had to call out one of the girls to actually get her attention for help. And when she called her out, that girl looked at us like we were crazy. One of my friends wanted to order the Tuesday special, that wasn't available somehow. So that also makes the pernil sandwich unavailable too. This is a puerto rican restaurant. How do u not have pernil available? Ok whatever so we all settled for pastrami sandwiches. I usually tip even when I do carry out, but I didn't leave them anything. One Saturday afternoon, I was anxious to get out of work to go get their Saturday special which is cuajito. I work two jobs and both jobs are in oak creek, so in between jobs, I decided to drive out of my way to la isla just for the cuajito. Got there and of course, it wasn't available. Highly disappointed. How do u not have the Saturday special available on Saturday??? So I asked for pollo guisado, they didn't even have that. Wth. What kind of Puerto Rican restaurant are u?? No pernil, no pollo guisao. All their appetizers are good, such as the pastellios, relleno de papa, etc. I can get over the crap service but not the fact that they dont have much available from the menu. Disappointed that I wasted time and gas just for a damn sandwich, when I could've went somewhere else closer to my job for a quick lunch. Make sure u have food from ur menu available especially ur daily specials and have a motivational speech with ur employees every morning, if that is what it takes for them to smile more. Im not the best thing when it comes to customer service but my crappy customer service days are a lot better than their service any day. Oh and u would think that u would get better service from church going Christian Puerto Ricans, this place proves u wrong. What a disappointment to the Puerto Rican culture smfh.

El Fuego
The only reason El Fuego even gets two stars is because the patio is really great, and that's about the extent of it. I had been craving fajitas, so that's exactly what I ordered, and I was extremely disappointed. The chicken wasn't grilled, it seemed like it might of been boiled, and it was slimy. That's where my meal started and ended. My boyfriend ordered a torta, which he enjoyed, but it came with french fries that were cooked in old oil. I didn't complain about my food, but when we asked for the bill we were informed that we could only pay with cash because there was a power outage somewhere near the restaurant. I understand that's out of their control, but we didn't have any cash, and I feel like she could've informed us a little sooner. Our waitress then told us to go use the ATM at the front of the restaurant which also wasn't working because of the power outage. At this point the manager came over and asks to write down our credit card information which I wasn't having. So finally the manager agreed to let us run to an atm, which was two towns over, but she also demanded that we let her take photocopies of our ids. I feel like it is situations like those where you comp a meal, but apparently not. We drove to get the money and came back and paid. Extremely poor service, food, and management.

They know how to make a mean margarita! Wowzers! was I pretty muffed up after like 2 drinks...and i can put some away but that time we really had a nice night and the drinks were for wisconsinites! I love their menu selection and if u want it a certain way they make it to your preference. Prices are fairly reasonable for the entrees but I don't understand how they price their chips/salsa/sour cream at such a higher price...when asked to order chips/salsa..after he told me the balance was like 23 bucks..it ended up being like 30-32 bucks for everything and thought wow..that's a little steep.... or extra sour cream/guac. i think they over price for these items...and u get like a fork full. Their green chili hot sauce= amazing!..and I really love their rice....really good and nicely done..not all mushy or crunchy(not done)...its perfect..but other than that..i like the atmosphere and patio seating.

Cinco De Mayo Fiesta
AUTHENTIC MEXICAN FOOD. THE ATMOSPHERE ALSO CONDUCIVE WITH THE MEXICAN CULTURE, PLAYS HARMONIC MEXICAN MUSIC IN THE BACKGROUND AND THE DECOR/COLORS THE SAME. HOMEMADE CHIPS WITH 2 OF THEIR HOMEMADE SAUCES OFFERED. THE DIFFERENCE IS IN THE SPICINESS. THE MEAL PRICING I EXPERIENCED WAS REMARKABLE. FOR EXAMPLE, I HAD A DELICIOUS CHICKIEN BURRITO LUNCH WHICH CONSISTED OF HOMEMADE SOUP, LG BURRITO WITH MELTED CHEECE AND SAUCE, RICE, HOMEMADE GUACAMOLE AND SOUR CREAM. ALL FOR $5.00. THAT'S RIGHT, $5.00. ALL THEIR LUNCHES RANGED AROUND THE $5.00 PRICE. SUPPER OF COURSE IS PRICED SLIGHTLY HIGHER, AS IS ALL PLACES. THE WAITRESS I HAD WAS VERY COURTEOUS AND HELPFUL. THE BAR HAS SPECIALS 2 FOR 1 MARGARITA NIGHTS, ETC. THEY DO MAKE EXCELLENT STRAWBERRY MARGARITA'S. YMMM. MY FAMILY AND I WILL DEFINITELY BE ON-GOING CUSTOMERS OF LA IGAUNA LOCA.

La Isla Restaurant Ii
We were going to go to Chicago to eat and decided to try this place instead. The food is pretty good but the service was absolutely terrible. The girl dropped menus on our table and took about 10 minutes to come back. When we got there, there was only two other tables there. She talked very low, never said thank you or you're welcome. Took forever to bring us our drinks, my husband had to ask her to bring them and she asked what they were again. No music, bad attitudes is not a good mix. We paid and tipped well despite the service and got up before she came to get the check so one of the girls asked out loud if we paid in spanish. I'm Puerto Rican myself and I am disgusted my their attitudes. Embarrassed to call that a Puerto Rican restaurant. I will be going to Chicago next time. Never again. Not even for the food.

Edgar's Calypso
I went to this place more than 6 years ago. I had gone with my then boyfriend, who happens to be Jamaican and from Montego Bay. My boyfriend said it was very close to the food from his country. I liked the food. I did not order the American food because, I feel, when going to a restaurant that specializes in another cuisine I should try that cuisine. I plan on returning soon because the food, to me was good. The decor was great and made me feel like I was in the Caribbean. Loved it!

La Isla Restaurant Ii
Food was very good and tasty...but the young server didn't have any customer service skills. Not once did she return to ask us how our food was nor if we needed anything. She didn't pay attention to what I was ordering. I thought maybe we were bothering her from doing her job...wait she didn't know how to do her job. Also something that really was disturbing was the floor being mopped while we were eating. Overcharged due to the server not understanding my order.

Cielito Lindo
Use to be my go to Mexican restaurant for a year. The old wait staff knew me as chef since I always come in in my chef attire. Can't beat the price on the corn tacos. Always order 4 Steak tacos. Use to go every week but the cooks are inconsistent. Food doesn't taste the same and newer wait staff take forever to refill my water when it's not busy. Spend more time talking to each other.

La Fuente Restaurant
So.. I'm vegan. I love La Fuente for their chips n salsa and rice and beans. That's about all I can eat there, so I usually just order "rice and beans."I've been going there a lot lately and I've consistently gotten dirty looks from the waiter when they ask what I want and I reply with "rice and beans." They might think I'm being cheap, but I'm just VEGAN!

Urban Joe Cafe
I Love Urban Joe Cafe! The wraps and sandwiches are loaded with all the right stuff! Not run of the mill food - but Boars Head meats, and ingredients things like roasted red peppers, sprouts, kalamata olives, sun dried tomatoes, goat cheese, arugala, fresh basil, etc. The soups and crepes are great too! And the coffee......... Best Around! I highly recommend!
