They only accept credit cards. I've traveled all over the place and this is the first time any car rental company has declined a debit card. No disclosures, nothing listed on the website or reservation that they only accepted credit cards.

The customer Service was wonderful! Top notch! I was taken care of quickly, and with the best customer service I have ever had at a rental facility. The vehicle I was lent was beautiful and clean. Will definitely use National Car Rental again!!!

Thrifty Car Rental
When I arrived on Monday at 2 PM on 3/23/15, the counter was VACANT. They share a counter/staff with Dollar. It was a ghost town. 5 people were waiting in line, I was #3. I stood there for 10 minutes - no one there. Every customer was calling the 800# to ask where the staff was.When someone finally showed up, she was rude and insolent.When I got to the counter, they did not have the car that I reserved. They only had ONE CAR which was 2 classes smaller than my reservation. To make matters worse, the clerk could not provide a credit because,"the system had locked me out for making too credit adjustments today."Manager? "Out of the country." How convenient. No one empowered to solve problems. Why not call the corporate 800#, surely they can override the computer. "Too many people waiting behind you." (FOR NO CARS !!! ????).If I wanted the car that I reserved, I'd have to wait over an hour, while they shuttled cars in from a remote lot. And, I would not receive any credit for waiting... remember she "was maxed out on her daily credit adjustments for that day" !!This is a poorly ran location. If the manager is going to be unavailable, then they should ensure that:A) they have inventory on hand for the reservations that were made WEEKS BEFORE, (poor inventory management)B) they have someone available to issue credits and handle customer service issues (poor planning)C) why can't the clerk call a district manager or the main offices to provide the credits (poor problem solving skills and customer service).What's the point of making a reservation in the first place?The clerk did make a note that I'd receive some unknown credit upon returning the car at the end of the rental period.At the end of the rental period - on 3/36/15 at 9:30 AM THEIR COUNTER WAS CLOSED.WHAT A SCAM. This Thrifty location is a FRAUD AND IS POORLY RAN. Staffed by rude and unhelpful people who will not go out of their way to see that you are satisfied. LAZY & UNCARING STAFF.

Agents are competent, cars are acceptable, but the transfer fees for returning the car to a different location are exorbitant, to say the least. And if the location with cars to rent is not really close by, prepare to hire a taxi (another unnecessary expense) because they won't "Pick you up" as the company promise is expressed during the ads.
