Gastro Health
This was my second time for the exam, first one was 5 years ago and it was also a 5-star experience. Again, I found on my second visit the same top-quality experience from the intake paperwork staff being well organized to the pre-exam by a nurse all went very smooth. I found the staff to be professional and very friendly. Dr. Leavitt's initial visit with me to discuss the scheduled exam was not rushed, very informative and certainly instills confidence not only in his experience but his entire team. He took the time to explain the procedure and answer any questions I had. The day of the exam this past Wednesday I was on the schedule for the first procedure. Again, I found professional and friendly staff from the intake registration desk to the bedside care both pre-and post care of the procedure. All and all this top-flight team makes having the colonoscopy as pleasant as possible. The procedure is totally painless, over very quickly and when Dr. Leavitt did his follow up with me a brief time after I awoke from the anesthesia his report and bedside manor was again excellent. I am lucky the Dr. informed I had clean bill of health and to schedule again in 10 years... now that is good news and if he is not retired and still working I be sure to schedule with him and his fantastic group of Gastro Health in Miami. I highly recommend Dr. Leavitt and his entire team at Gastro Health.

I was greeted amicably and prompt. The staff is very professional. After filling up the paperwork which the process is brief, I was directed to the therapist. JC my therapist sat down with me and took some information pertaining to my health and problem at hand. He then set up a plan of treatment that would meet my needs. He was very cordial, professional and patient. I also felt at ease because the whole staff worked together . Great teamwork and they give the patient priority. They make you feel like family. JC and staff is a great asset to the company. I will definitely refer family and friends. I am very pleased with your service. Thanks a lot you really made a difference in my life and also provided tools for me to incorporate in my daily routine. God Bless you and your company! Sincerely,Marilyn Truffin

Holistic Medical
Not only do my appointments never get canceled last minute, they take time out of their day to send me a reminder so I don't forget. They are extremely reliable. I feel like they go out of their way to accommodate my schedule. I always get the appointment time I want. The restrooms at this office were spotless. It smelled amazing in there and looked immaculate. They've never dismissed any of my concerns as unimportant, and take every concern of mine very seriously. They always make sure to return my phone call as soon as possible. Thanks Rox and Gigi

The Banyan Holistic Healthcare Center
It takes a compassionate person who is motivated to enthusiastically delve into the heart and mind of each patient to be able to help that person. Dr. Justin Newman at the Banyan Institute does just that and more. Not only did my neck pain dissipate within a few days after one treatment, but I left The Banyan that day so relaxed that I was literally laughing out loud on my way to the car; sounds crazy, but I felt so great I didn’t care. Thanks Dr. J.Michael Henry

The Banyan Holistic Healthcare Center
When my daughter went away to college, I started having panic attacks and anxiety. This was almost everyday. Even when I heard that she was okay, I was still having trouble. The staff at the Banyan coached me on how I could cope with these new stressors and the stress of having this kind of change in my life. They used acupuncture, hypnotherapy, and were my coach, and now I feel more centered and grounded than I could have imagined possible!

I have tried acupuncture before, however, Dr. Newman has by far exceeded my expectations. He is very patient and gentle, and answered all of my questions and concerns. I have received relief from my sciatic pain, and along the way I've learned numerous ways to stay healthy. I would highly recommend, Dr. Newman and his whole staff give excellent customer care!

They were great for my CT scan I had last Monday. Today is now Saturday and I didn't get a call from them on how long I have to fast for my Esophagram test. I called them and a rude lady told me that they were open until six and I would get a call before then. If you want a place to call you for your special instructions you might want to look elsewhere.

I love this practice, I have been there for many years. The best thing is the practice administrator. Diana Salazar is a wonderful and caring administrator, she takes the time to speak to each patient and always helps us. She makes us feel at home when we are at our sickest. The doctors and staff are also very good. Great practice.

Tips & Advices
This depends on the facility. Patients should call to find out if they'll need a referral from their physician prior to making an appointment.
Aside from hyperbaric oxygen treatment, most wound care centers offer:
  • Debridement: The removal of dead skin and tissue surrounding the wound. This can be done surgically, using a whirlpool bath, syringes, enzymes that dissolve the tissue, or wet dressings that dry on the wound and absorb the dead tissue.
  • Dressing: Wrapping the wound in a protective film, gauze, gel, or foam.
  • Compression stockings: Tight-fitted fabric sheaths that encourage blood flow.
  • Artificial skin: A covering that is applied to the wound for several days as it heals.
  • Ultrasound: The use of sound waves to promote healing.
  • Growth factor therapy: The use of materials naturally produced by the body to encourage quick cell growth.
  • Negative pressure therapy: Creating a vacuum around a wound to encourage faster blood flow to the area.
Depending on where the treatment is administered, hyperbaric oxygen treatment  can cost $100- $1,000. After insurance is applied, patients may have a copay of $10 -$50 or a coinsurance fee of 10 percent to 50 percent.
Most wounds should heal within two to six weeks. An individual should seek chronic wound treatment if a wound has not begun to heal after two weeks or is not completely healed after six.
Most health insurance plans cover wound care. Patients should check with the clinic and their health insurance provider before seeking treatment to be sure.
