Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Services
Roto-Rooter has come to my house several times, sometimes on an emergency basis, & has done great work. Most recently, 1 tech (Humberto) came out at around 10 pm to look at a leaking pipe, & the next day Aloys (technician 970) came out (assisted by Leo the 1st time, with some help from Francisco) & performed what turned out to be more-extensive-than expected repairs both inside the wall & outside the house (replacing a faulty shut-off valve). They did great work, it was a very fair price considering the extent of the work, & they stuck to their estimate even when the work turned out to be more involved than expected (which has been the case on at least 1 other occasion). They got my water turned back on by the end of that day, which was a great relief. The outdoor shut-off valve ended up with a lot of hidden problems that weren't visible until he opened up the old valve/pipe, & he & Leo spent a hot few hours making sure the water came on before dark. A week later, Aloys came back to do a quick, temporary fix of some very old, leaking fixtures in the shower/tub (which will allow me a bit of time to be able to pay for the bigger, long-term fix that is necessary), & he (once again) was here quickly, did an amazing job (again, at a very fair price -- he put in a lot of time & didn't charge much), was very personable/considerate. The fixtures are very old, with nothing replaced on them/in them (gaskets, seats, cartridges, stems, etc.) for at least the 14 years I've lived in the house. I was very happy he was able to provide the temporary fix until I can pay for, & allow time for, replacement of the faucets, diverter, etc. I've had great experiences with other techs, too -- off the top of my head, I can think of one's name (Marlon) who came out on an emergency basis & diagnosed what was causing a washing machine to back up into my kitchen sink, then spent several hours clearing out an old, narrow, hard-to-reach pipe with decades of hard-water buildup that was causing the problem. Plumbing emergencies can (obviously) be stressful & financial nightmares, and I've been very happy with Roto-Rooter. I recommend the company (and I highly recommend Aloys, Marlon, Leo, and although I had less experience with them, I also recommend Humberto & Francisco).

Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Services
4/2/2015Company: "Roto-Rooter Plumbing"Plumber dispatched: Aloys; Badge Number: 970--Satisfied Customer--Issue: Downstairs toilet would overflow into the living room creating our own personalized Lake Okeechobee.Resolution: Proper snaking and camera investigating revealed that construction work done by a company hired by AT&T damaged the piping connecting our home with the city's main pipe. The construction company miscalculated and bore a cable through the PVC pipe. The cable would act as a blockade for incoming toilet paper, causing it to accumulate and create a clog. Luckily, the snaking removed the clog; however, not until the PVC pipe is replaced and cable removed can we resume utilizing toilet paper. Take note that the remainder of the more than likely arduous work will be handled by "Roto-Rooter" and their professionals. Which leads me to the overview..Overview: If you're a distressed reader with any sort of plumbing issue/dilemma, and are hesitant to make the call -- your prayers have been answered! "Roto-Rooter Plumbing" is your best and only option within South Florida. Immediately upon making the call you will be astonished to discover, in a positive light, of course, that "Roto-Rooter" truly lives up to their "The Plumbing Experts You've Trusted For Over 80 Years" moniker. We were lucky to be assisted by a fine gentleman named Aloys; 'badge number: 970', whom was a consummate professional that will respect you and your home. He is bilingual. His fluency in both English and Spanish bridged the gap between family members, allowing for them to grasp the intricacies of the situation with relative ease. Aloys is quite knowledgeable about the profession and arrived with all the proper tools to handle any known plumbing disaster under the scorching South Florida sun!"Roto-Rooter Plumbing" and Aloys, the Stumbaugh family gives you a 5 out of 5 stars!

Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Services
I called on a Monday morning after the landlady from the unit below me called to say her tenant had water leaking into her bathroom. When I called around 10:30 a.m.I was told that they would place my call as an emergency call. They said they could arrive between 11 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. At 1:30, I called to check the status of the call. I was told that the plumber that had experience in the issue I was having was at another job and would come to my condo as soon as he was done. The lady was not very nice. I had to explain to her that the tenant had to be at work at a certain time and we would not have access to her unit once she left. I was literally told, "I don't know what to tell you, he has to finish his other job." Luckily, the plumber Rafael #3619, did make it before 3:00 p.m. The tenant was still home and we were able to resolve the issue, quickly. I did have to pay for the assessment $271.00. Which is not a bad price. I called other plumbers in my area and the average cost to come out was about $300 for an assessment. At the end of the day there was only a small, slow leak that could be fixed by my husband. Rafael was very knowledgeable, friendly, courteous and gave us tips on how to resolve the problem. In Miami I am very weary of plumbers that make up an imaginary problem and charge an arm and a leg to "fix" it. I am glad that it was nothing major, thank God!!! If I ever run into another plumbing issue I will definitely use Roto-Rooter again. You have experienced plumbers working for you. My experience was a good one! Thank you Rafael!

Miami Shores Plumbing
Miami Shores Plumbing has been a great fins for me and my girlfriend since we moved to Miami. When we first had a problem with our toilet, we were not sure who to contact. We were both new to using plumbing companies since we are recent college graduates, who just started living on our own. We asked our maintenance man in our building who recommended a company he has had past success with named Miami Shores Plumbing. We than took his advice and looked on Yelp for reviews. We looked on yelp and saw the company only had two stars. This worried us at first. But we asked our maintenance man why the ratings were so poorly. He said those reviews don't add up to the service they have provided for him and his friends in the past. So thankfully we followed through with MSP plumbing and found out that he was in fact right to the point when it came to there knowledge and skills in the plumbing industry. We recommend MSP plumbing to anyone who is unsure who to use in the Miami area for plumbing.

All Dade Plumbing Inc
I have been having some plumbing issues for a few months and had a different plumbing company come out and service my home. When the problem continued I was referred to All Dade Plumbing Inc by a coworker. I was extremely impressed by the representative on the phone (Allison) and the plumbers who came to my home (Kenny and 2 others). Everyone was knowledgeable, professional and took the time to explain to me about the plumbing process and problem. They were forthcoming with their prices (whereas if you call Roto Rooter they won't tell you the price of anything unless they come out to your house) and provided me a verbal amount when asked. I had to have extensive underground plumbing work done.Highly recommend this company. Everyone is friendly and thorough. It's very rare to see a company providing not only quality customer service over the phone, but also have the well-informed on site personnel. All around great company!

Miami Emergency Plumbing
I had an emergency with my home's pipes, they were clogged and full of dirty water. We tried fixing it ourselves at home but the tools we had weren't doing the job and the dirty water/smell weren't going away. I called several plumbing services and one even told us from 10pm to 2am was that they were available and it was 5pm. After calling serveral services, Miami Emergency plumbing's plumber Diosvani gave us a call back and informed us that he was on his way. He got to our home as soon as possible and he did the job very quickly. Within 15 minutes the pipes we unclogged and the water was running as normal. He was very kind and professional. We were all very pleased at home with the job and Diosvani. We will definitely be calling him if we have any future problems. Big tumbs up for the service.

Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Services
I Called Roto-Rooter out to repair a pipe on the side a house that was leaking badly. I scheduled it for the following day at a time agreed upon by both the tenant and Roto-Rotor. They were there on time, explained the problem to me over the phone, and gave me a price. They made the repairs that same day and the problem was corrected. My only complaint is that I asked the Roto-Rooter plumber to take before and after pictures and email them to me. He said he would email them as soon as he got to the office. The next day I hadn't received the pictures so I called the office and was told that he wasn't scheduled to back in the office until the following morning, and that the pictures would be downloaded and sent as soon as the plumber came in. I did get the pictures the next day. Thank you

Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Drain Services
This was my fourth time using Roto-Rooter. This job was for an emergency replacement of a kitchen faucet. I called for service late afternoon on a Friday and had a technician at my house several hours later. The dispatcher was timely in keeping me informed of the status of the next available plumber for my area. The technician, Miguel H. (178), was very polite and professional. He worked efficiently to get the job done as quickly as possible. Before leaving, he was very thorough in making sure his work area was clean and that we had no questions regarding the operation and maintenance of the new faucet. I recommend this technician and would use their service in the future.

Rosher Dick Plumbing Inc
I called this company to come out and fix a clogged toilet. Since I was not going to be home when they came, we agreed on a price over the phone. I told them that I would make out a check for the agreed upon price. I asked if any additional charges would be incurred. I was ASSURED that $175. would be the TOTAL amount. They did come out at the specified time. The technican was able to unclog the toilet. He did not provide an invoice and demanded another $10. from my son. He said that the work amounted to another $10. My son, confused, gave him $10 more dollars. I truly believe he wanted lunch money. Will not use this company again.

A B Y Plumbing USA Corp
I used the services of Christian Martinez from ABY Plumbing and was very satisfied with the services provided at a very reasonable price. Christian installed a brand new toilet, after removing the old one, and repaired a second toilet that was leaking after another licensed&insured plumber failed to resolve a leak issue at the level of the valve inside the tank of a one-piece toilet (discontinued model of American Standard). We were able to get the valve assembly replacement kit online and Christian successfully installed the part. I highly recommend Christian from ABY Plumbing for his competence, reliability, and fairness with pricing.
Tips & Advices
The following tools and common household objects can be used to clean drains at home:
  • A plunger
  • A drain snake
  • Baking soda
  • Vinegar
  • Grease-fighting dish soap
Homeowners can mix boiling water with any of the last three products to break up grease and grime.
The main ingredients in clog removal liquid products are sodium hydroxide and sodium hypochlorite. According to the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry, both break down into relatively harmless components when it comes into contact with water or soil. However, both substances cause mild irritation to skin and internal tissues.
Also known as a drain auger, a drain snake is a coiled device around ¼-inch thick. To use a drain snake, put the end into the entrance of the drain. Turn the handle to force the snake deeper, using extra pressure to force it through the bend in the pipe. Keep turning until the snake hits the clog, then either pull the snake and remove the obstruction or force it through. Once the snake is out of the drain, run the water on full blast for a few minutes to ensure the obstruction is completely removed.
Plungers don't damage residential pipes, but the force created by the act of plunging weakens the seal between the toilet and the floor.
Many plumbers, both local businesses and nationwide chains, offer emergency or same-day services.
